marina made music to comfort teenagers that felt that they were raised to focus on work and achievement and success but were ultimately very, very lonely. The family jewels was made for kids that felt they were too stiff and closed off to be loved. “A control freak driven by a greed to succeed” and “I know exactly why I walk and talk like a machine” and “could never tell you what happened the day I turned 17” the ENTIRETY of obsessions, the desperate pleading of “I’m vulnerable, I’m vulnerable.” Marina comforted those who felt unlovable and overwhelmed with their youth, who felt like their whole life depended on their teenage years but simultaneously believed they were wasting them, and who feared their whole life would be missing out on opportunities.

HELLO I am here to point out that the guy who helped sokka, zuko & co escape from the boiling rock mistook their relationship with Suki as a polyamorous one

He addressed BOTH of them and called her their girlfriend and no one corrected him.

honestly tho that scene in the incredibles where mr. incredible sees the names of all the old super heroes that used to be his friends / that he knew from Back in the Day and how every one of them has been killed by syndrome is such a chilling scene for so many reasons 

like for one, everyone he knew is dead at this point and has been killed on the same island he’s at now and two, its heartbreaking bc that means that almost every hero wanted to try out being a hero again despite the laws against it and wanted to try and help someone out and relive their glory days, only to be straight up murdered like fuck that scene is just so fuckin intense

Terry Crews came out and admitted he had been sexually assulted by someone in the film industry, and is now being blacklisted. I have been a fan of his since Idiocracy, and will continue to support all of his work.

So when you wonder why people don’t come forward with their assults, this is why.
