i didnt realise i had done so many studies of badgers.
they're gorgeous creatures, but the anatomy is tricky, I've found it hard to find good reference images. i even went to the dead zoo to look at specimens of taxidermy to learn more about their feet.
i also didn't realise these pages were so absolutely filthy. you'd think i'd been doing this long enough to learn to stop smearing the page with the heel of my hand or leaving sketches lying around on my desk when i'm dicking around on other projects (like home-made ink). but you would be wrong.

the river was nice btw.
I got an email about Gumroad day (?) which reminded me, I have a bunch of zines up there, mostly for free/pay what you want.
Any news with you? I spent most of today painting and listening to Tom Waits. Now I'm gonna go stand in the river for a while.
