Jack finds out he would have lost his duel with Yusei and gets so violently shaken that he sees his title as lost and tries to throw away dueling entirely but just episodes earlier we learned Jack only ever managed to beat Yusei in a duel a grand total of one (1) time. He spent years unable to win against his baby brother in a children's strategy game, snatched the W exactly once, promptly turned class traitor and runs away from everyone he's ever known, to never see said baby brother again. Cut to a few years later, baby brother pops back up like a very tenacious whack-a-mole, beats him in yet another round of Children's Strategy Game, and Jack's very measured and rational response is "It's all over. What's the point any more. Screw all of you."
