Steve Timmiss is one of our founding directors. Before Kaizen, he was the IT Director of a marketing agency. Out of work he enjoys cycling and his favourite piece of tech is his Haibike Xduro Fatsix RX (for those of you who don't know, it's his bike!)

Did you catch our live stream of the raffle draw last night?

Team Kaizen were invited to Weston Park Hospital yesterday to take a tour of the Cancer Support Centre and the hospital itself to see how the funds raised from events such as ours benefit patients and their families. We saw the equipment purchased by the charity in the Day Care and the Radiotherapy wings and learnt how Weston Park is world class in its research and employment of clinical trials to fight the disease. The evening was really inspiring and informative.

Dominic Hodgson is responsible for instant response and has been with us for 8 months. His top tip is to make your password stronger. Out of work he enjoys mountain biking, gaming and aquascaping!

Race to the Alps  Days 1 - 3

Day 1 : Paris to Fontainebleau: 

The Support Team left the white cliffs of Dover on Saturday morning, bound for Calais. From Calais, they made their way to the Eiffel Tower, where they met up with the riders and embarked on the first leg of the 700km ride! Their first destination was Fontainebleau, 67km away.

Spirits high, the cycling team began their first day posing by the Eiffel Tower, before their 62km journey to Fontainebleau, the prize for first puncture went to Steve 'Parky' Parkinson - well it had to be someone! The first day was not without its hazards, with the team losing their way a few times and ending up on the motorway! Happily though, all were accounted for, and enjoyed themselves on their first evening in Fontainebleau.

Day 2 : Fontainebleau to Briare: 

93km completed and the riders definitely deserved their cold one! 

Day 3 : Briare to Crux-Le-Ville

Another 94km down, which makes 254km out of 700km completed so far! The team are doing an incredible job and today brings the total donations up to £6,951!

Here at Kaizen, we have been counting down the days and it has finally arrived!

Tomorrow is the day that the two Kaizen directors, Roman and Steve, along with a team of enthusiastic friends and family, will begin their epic sponsored bike ride across France. The ride will span 700km from Paris to Grenoble, over the course of 7 days.

For a few weeks now, we have been fundraising for an extremely deserving cause, Weston Park Cancer Charity.

Weston Park hospital is one of a handful of specialist cancer centres in the UK, based just a few miles away from Kaizen’s head office in Sheffield. This charity has been a life line to so many people in the local area and beyond, not least Roman and Steve who have both seen first hand the tireless work they do.

In the weeks leading up to the event, we have raised a staggering £6,491, which has been donated by our incredibly generous colleagues, partners, clients, friends and family who we cannot thank enough.

But there is still time to raise further funds to benefit so many people living with cancer. We would love to reach our goal of £10,000 before the finish line in Grenoble.
