Help this person out if you can
https://twitter.com/dizzyfuture/status/1159955950004035592?s=21
I know I don’t come on here much anymore, but Tumblr is still a great place for getting word out.
If you don’t feel like clicking the link, this is what their post says:
“ So at the moment, I'm in extreme terrible pain with my mouth and I REALLY need to see a dentist. Sadly, I'm not insured at this time and thus will need a few hundred as a safety net. Thus, I want to ask ppl if they're willing to buy $25 headshot commissions. 1/? “
If I could spend money right now, I would absolutely help this person out... but I can’t. So for now I will signal boost their message to see if it will help this person get this matter taken care of.
If you can’t afford it either, please consider signal boosting this to help get the word out. It doesn’t need to be money for it to be helpful.

Quote of the day.
Viera Player: My ears flap in the wind!
Au Ra Player: Why don’t my ears flap?
Viera Player: Because you don’t have ears!
Me: That’s an interesting thought: Au Ra ears flapping in the wind.
Me: Au Ra horns are flaccid.
All: Don’t ever say that again.

“My Dear Miss Kitten,
I pray that wherever you are, that you are doing well.  Of all the people who’ve been affected by my leaving Eorzea, you were hurt the most.  For that, I sincerely apologize.  As an Angel, you did your utmost to uphold the good name of the Regalia and to aid the realm in our own special way.  I am proud to have you amongst us, no matter what others may tell you.
Also, I apologize for not being around long enough to give you any finer points at being a lady - it is an endeavor that would be done overnight, but a worthwhile undertaking nonetheless.  If you still intend to continue your training, then I have a surprise for you.
As you are aware by now, the Eikon Collection has begun to take Eorzea by storm (and it could not be done sooner, if I may be so bold…), and many of its inhabitants are beginning to find enlightenment in the realm of fashion.  I will be sending you a set of clothing and jewelry straight from the catalogue, and it is yours to keep.
Stay safe, Kitten, and wherever you may go, just remember that I always enjoyed your company, and that you should always be yourself.
-Thiji Higuri, Mythrite Sultan of the Higuri Regalia”
Miss Kitten, an employee of the Higuri Regalia, became one of Thiji’s Angels sometime during the Dragonsong War.  Her optimism and bubbly attitude uplifted the spirits of all in her presence, and was among the few individuals capable of making Lord Thiji smile.  As thanks for all she’s done for him and for the Regalia at large, Thiji created and sent Kitten a set of the Diamond Dress and Tanzanite Whorl-Gazer’s Embellishments from the Eikon Collection, so that she may roam around Eorzea as the lady she was destined to be.

HOLY SHIT
My 16 year search has ended!
Thanks to someone in my FC (guild, clan, etc.), I have finally found where a song came from. The title is in chinese/japanese (dunno which because I don’t read either), so for now I’ll settle for: it’s the opening to an old Anime show from the 90′s called El Hazard.
I initially found this song on a custom Starcraft: Brood War campaign. I fell in love with the song, but when I found the sound file in the campaign, it was listed only as “Track 01.” Back then it was a heck of a lot harder to find the source of anything on the Internet, because it was still pretty primitive compared to how it is now. So instead of trying to identify it back then, I just burned it onto a CD so I could listen to it on my CD player. As the years have gone by, I moved it from CD player to MP3 player to Zune, etc. etc. I actually have it stored on a USB stick because I didn’t want to lose it.
16 years and finally... I have the source. Hell of a trek it’s been.

Fallout 76 has an interesting sense of humor.
Recently decided to stop trying to be too many classes at once and just made a character for each role I wanted to play. I have a crit DPS build that I’m working on, but DPS isn’t really my forte, so I put that on the backburner for the time being. I have a Mentor/Pack Mule/Medic character whose build is finished, and now all I need is a tank... which is my preferred setup for solo play due to my system specs. My screen tends to freeze on me, so I like having a build that can survive when something punches me in the face.
I’m only around level 28 so far with my tank build and it’s still very weak because I need to get so many traits leveled and I only have so much opportunity to do that. When I encountered this critter, I was only level 20.
Naturally since I’m trying to get to 50, I’m doing any and all events I can find that involve killing mobs. Quests and events don’t reward that much experience in Fallout 76, so if you really want to level, your best bet is simply to kill everything that moves. Stealth builds are great if you like that sneaky gameplay element, but it makes leveling take a lot longer because mobs don’t come running at you... but I digress. As a tank, albeit a low level ill equipped tank, I alternate between stealth and charging in head first because different scenarios suit different approaches.
Recently I decided to partake in that event “Free Range,” which I’ve seen a few people doing, but it didn’t strike me as a particularly popular event. I figured this meant it was because it was tedious, buggy or perhaps didn’t give out the best rewards... but regardless of the reason, it was an event and it was spawning enemies, so I decided to take part in it.
For the most part, the enemies were between levels 6 - 9 because I was in a low level area. I was okay with this because it was easy experience... but then the game was like: “You’re level 20, right? Have a level 50 Sheepsquatch! That’s a balanced fight, right?”
No Bethesda, a level 50 two-star legendary Sheepsquatch in a low level area is NOT balance, but thanks for the tank tester!
This critter one-shot the cows I was escorting for the Free Range event, so naturally it made me soil myself when it caught me in its crosshairs. I was next to a circular pen with hay when it spotted me, so I opted to jump up and around it to get the AI to run in circles while I tried desperately to kill it before it killed me. FORTUNATELY the AI is still as stupid as ever and it never occurred to the beast to jump or climb up to where I was, so it just kind of sat there after a while and let me shoot it to death. It wasn’t easy despite that, because I broke two of my weapons and wasted all of my ammo trying to kill this target. I DID manage to kill it, but it was way out of my league. It was like shooting a freight train with a BB gun.

Been playing a lot of the original Guild Wars this past week. My original goal was just to explore some places I missed out on when I last played it... because in the 14 years it’s been out, I ignored SO much content because I just went after the easy stuff / looked for ways to pass the time.
Since I’ve been replaying it, I’m noticing just how much content I missed, and some stuff that had significance that completely eluded me when I was younger and stupider. So instead of just exploring to see some vistas, I’m playing the game to its fullest (as much as I can manage) and to see if I can make more progress towards my Hall of Monuments. At the time of writing this, I just finished getting my Vabbian armor... which was a lot easier than I thought it would be way back when.
Right now I’m working on actually trying to get Legendary Survivor, followed by Luxon Supporter and my Eye of the North titles. Once I get Survivor out of the way, I’ll be able to relax and do more content (because I won’t be so nervous about dying).
If you’re wanting to play with me, I’m online pretty often and working on my Mesmer (which has become my new main). My in-game name is Grandmaster Kaizure.

As a follow-up to my last post about housing in Fallout 76, I decided to just make the move from Vault 51 to somewhere that helps me achieve my goal (which is to help others).
Building this place was IMMENSELY tedious because I had to reposition and delete objects time after time after time just to get the spacing right, but it all paid off in the end and I am very proud of myself for what I’ve built.
Tumblr media
One of the two entrances to my home, guarded by automated turrets (mostly to fend off wildlife that spawns in the area and attacks my home).
Tumblr media
Second Entrance’s Guest Room. The second entrance leads to a room that has two beds, two storage chests and some nice decor to make it feel homey.
Tumblr media
Main Entrance. Leads into the workshop as well as to the basement. Pretty basic design in the main entry, but I’ll be adding potted plants when I unlock them.
Tumblr media
The Workshop. This area takes up most of the space on the top floor. It contains a power armor station, chemistry station, weapon workbench, armor workbench, tinkerer’s workshop, and a couch for resting when it’s all done.
Tumblr media
Deck on the North Side. Nice view overlooking the town below (which is filled with enemies), a grill and picnic table for a homey feel.
Tumblr media
Deck on the West Side. When I unlock loungers, I intend to place them here. This area is gorgeous and provides an excellent view of the sunset. I know it’s a video game, but it’s still pretty.
Tumblr media
Living Area (Basement). As I pointed out before, the main entrance leads to a stairway that takes you into the basement. The upper area needed to be dedicated to all of my work stations because those are what I need the most, but when I feel like just chilling and hanging with friends, this is the room to visit. It also has a brewing station and cooking stove, so it feels like the perfect hangout for a bachelor.
Tumblr media
My Bedroom. Guest room is nice and all, but the master of the house needs to have their own master bedroom.
Tumblr media
Industrial Area. Located below the house is my power shed (which houses the fusion generator), my mining device, my water pumps and my crops. The only thing that really creates any noise is the mining device, but that can easily be shut off with a switch.
Tumblr media
Bottom to Top View.
If you play Fallout 76, I built my home at a tower just South East of Point Pleasant. It’s a wonderful location because most of the terrain at the base of the tower is flat, unlike most of them which have uneven terrain, and it has a junk pile you can set a resource harvester over for free gathering supplies. Since I built my home to help new players, having a gatherer that helps me resupply myself is crucial... and I’m a sucker for visuals, so having a place on a beautiful vista is extremely desirable.
Getting it in the tower was no small feat though. If you want to mimic my idea, it will require a lot of patience and persistence, but once you get it and find a design you like, it will really pay off in the end.

Been on a Fallout 76 binge lately.
Yes, I play it and I enjoy it.
They released a hidden location in March, which is Vault 51. Like the other vaults, you can’t yet open or enter it (without glitching or hacking). Unlike other locations though, Bethesda hasn’t yet implemented a ‘you can’t camp here’ barrier... so I took advantage of that oversight to create a camp for people to visit, make their repairs, sleep, and generally find decent protection. The area isn’t at risk of a lot of spawns (mostly mole rats and occasionally mongrels), so it’s a nice, safe location for people to come and rest between their quests and scavenging.
I’ve always been very focused on making stuff for the players, not for me. So when I saw I could build this place... I took full advantage of that fact.
Though I imagine Bethesda will eventually put down a ‘you can’t camp here’ barrier, so I wanted to take screenshots to remember what I’d built and what I did for the players.
