                              CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION 

(INTRODUCTION) Celebrations are for people to thank all the blessings that comes to their lives. They celebrate because they are thankful. They celebrate because they are happy. Celebrations are like Birthdays, Fiestas, Independence , All Souls , New Year, and Christmas. But some people celebrate because they got a new job, they win in a ruffle , etc. One of the celebrations that people celebrates is Christmas. Before anything, I will share some things I have learn why do people celebrate Christmas. We all know that God is the most powerful person in the whole world. He was the one who made all the living and non living things in the world. He made the plants, animals, and the People. The first person he made was Adan but he observed that it will be more wonderful if Adan have a partner. Then he made Eve. And many years goes by and by until now, there are hundreds and thousands of people around the world and it is created by God. Going back, one of God's children is Joseph and Mary. Mary and Joseph were couple but they have no children at all. They are kind hearted couple. They always help other people. That's why God chose them or Mary to gave birth our savior Jesus Christ.  Mary gave birth Jesus on December 25. And that's why people celebrate Christmas every December 25 every year. We celebrate because he is our savior and we have and should thank him for all the blessings that he gave to us. People goes to church and attend mass. People attend the 9 mornings that starts in 4 in the morning. And they say that if you can complete the 9 mornings, you can have a wish and God will grant that wish of yours. But only some can complete the 9 mornings.

 ( BODY ) Ever since I was able to have knowledge about the things here in this beautiful world, I always ask myself that why am I living like this? Why can I breathe and move whatever I wanted to? I have many whys back then but now, I learned little by little. And one of the learnings I have learned is about the Christmas. That's why I know the importance of Christmas. I know my responsibility as a person who is living in this world. And one of my duty is to attend mass every sunday and most importantly every Christmas. I started attend mass or what we call 9 mornings when I was 11 years old. But I was too lazy that I can't complete the 9 mornings. And last December 16,2016 I attended the 8 mornings together with my aunt and cousins. Yes, I just attended 8 mornings because I wasn't able to woke up last december 21,2016 because it was my Christmas Party in school. However, I am still thankful because God has given me blessings even though I wasn't able to do my duties as a person. And so far, I know the importance of celebrating Christmas. After the 9 mornings was the mass in the evening on the 24th. It started around 10 in the evening and ended at exactly 11:30 in the evening. After the mass, we immediately went home for our countdown. And at exactly 11:59 pm, together with my whole family, we count numbers from 10 down and celebrate the Christmas together. We ate the foods that we ready in our table and ate together. And in filipinos, We call it Noche Buena. I was very happy even though my mother wasn't by my side on Christmas because aside from the fact that she is not always here because of work that is for me also, I was happy because I had many blessings in my life that God had given me. He gave me a healthy and happy family although there were many problems that we conquered in year 2016, but still we are strong enough to face those problems together. And for all his blessings, It is already enough. I just pray that he will guide us and we, as a family will have faith in him. 

 ( CONCLUSION ) Christmas is important to all people because it is the natal day of our savior Jesus Christ. However we should always keep our faith in him no matter what. Because for me, he is true and I believe that he is our Father, our Savior, and our Friend too. People celebrates because they are happy. They celebrate because they are thankful for everything they have. And I think even there are no blessings at all, as long as God will give them another life to rejoice and explore the world, we should always thank him. We should thank him for what we are right now. We should attend masses every sunday and pray that he will give us more blessings, more birthdays, more days to live in this world. And that people should know their responsibilities as a person living in his world. People should know the spirit of Christmas and that is, Sharing and Loving. They should atleast give importance to celebrate the Christmas. They should give value to their fellow men. Christmas is about Sharing, Loving, and Forgiving. But only some forgives and shares. But I hope that someday, there will be no person in this world that is sad and lonely.So God imparts to human hearts the blessing of his heaven. It is better to give than to receive. Merry Christmas.

~ INTRAMURALS ~ 

(INTRODUCTION) "FORGING TEAMWORK AND CAMARADERIE" is the theme of our intramurals this school year . But before anything else , what do we mean by intramurals ? Well ,  Intramurals is about engaging yourself in such sports like basketball , volleyball , badminton and others. It is one way for the students nor players to know that they should have teamwork and sportsmanship in a game . And also players shoud have the word DISCIPLINE . It is one of the best example that a player should have . And also a word that everybody should keep in their minds. Intramurals is also a bonding to us, we bond to each other like playing sports and every game that we should have. Its not like a simple bonding , it is a very special bonding for the whole school or campus. We bond to learn new things and to develop ourselves from one another. We also have new friends and people to know. Its not about competition , its about engaging one another to create a strong relationship.

(BODY) Last October 24 , 25 ,26 and 27 was our intramurals in Don Mariano Canoy Colleges. We knew that it will be a very tiring yet very enjoy week . Teachers have planned for it carefully . First Day we did in the morning was the thanksgiving mass and after , the dance crew break their legs out in the stage . The sophomores that time were absolutely fantastic . Even though I didn't see their full performance , I knew that they gave their best . I was proud because my bestfriends were there . In the afternoon , at exactly 1:00 p.m. , we started the search for Mr and Ms DMCC . I was the one who represent our section , which is gemini . I didn't have a partner that time because he was injured but all I did was have the confidence in myself and I had my prayers to God . Unexpectedly , I won the pageant. I was crowned as Ms. DMCC and my partner was Dan Kenneth Almonia as Mr. DMCC . That time was one of the best day of my life. The Mr. and Ms . Intramurals were Andre Salvador and Melissa Micabalo . The 1st runners up were Empliny Dela Torre and Mr. Logun. And the 2nd runners up were Allyn Chan and Nimzo Dela Cruz . Those are the winners in the pageant.Then the second day , October 25 , it was early in the morning, when we started the parade. We turned around kauswagan only . We started from Dmcc then turned in NHA and Capisnon then ended up in DMCC. After the parade was the banner raising. After the banner raising was the Dance Mania. In the afternoon ,  the games and booths we're officially and formally opened. Until third day , the games were played by different alumni . There were many games and each game have winners. One of the most awaited games are basketball and volleyball. The championship was played with Blue Dragons or Seniors and Red Warriors or Juniors but in the end , the Juniors won as the champion. In volleyball , The championship was played by the Red Warriors or Juniors and Yellow Wolves or Sophomores. I was one of the players in volleyball. We were nervous that time. The tension was at maximum level. But in the end , we were announced as the champions. At exactly 3 in the afternoon , the culminating or the awarding of winners started. The champion in Dance Crew was the Juniors. Next to them was the Seniors then followed by the Sophomores. The champion in Dance Mania was also the Juniors. Next to them was the Seniors , 2nd placer was the Sophomores, and 3rd placer was the elementary. So the other games were played in the field like running, patentero, tag of war,and others. The last part of the program was the announcement of the overall champion. And the overall champion was the Red Warriors or Juniors. The second overall champion was the Blue Dragons or Seniors. The third overall champion was the Yellow Wolves or Sophomores and last but not the least was the Green Archers or Freshmen. After the awarding was the rave party by the HSC Officers. It was successful after all the hardwork of one another. The rave party ended at exactly 7:00 in the evening. And after was the announcement of Miss Minda that classes will back on November 9, 2016.

 (CONCLUSION) The Importance of intramurals is that students shouldn't be always in their seats. Making projects , assignments, seatworks and others. It's a one week activity that is all about enhancing your sports skills. Students should know and participate in these activities because it is very important for their own good. They should join any sports in their school because aside from it is an extra curricular activity , it will enhance your capabilities and skills. What if you are good in basketball ? Or in Volleyball ? We don't know. No one knows it will be an opportunity for you to go the school somewhere in manila. Like Ateneo and La Salle. We should engage ourselves into things that are active and good for the body. Also , have a healthy lifestyle. Eat healthy and nutritious foods like vegetables and most importantly always have exercises and don't be lazy. The significance ofof Intramurals is the sportsmanship , being able to play fair , respect for one's opponent , and be gracious in winning or losing.

                                   NUTRITION MONTH

(Introduction) Health is one of God's gift to people . It is important to people because without health , we are nothing in this world . Without health , we are not the person we use to be. Without health , we are nothing . But some of the people abuse and don't care for their health . Some are addicted to drugs , smoke and others that causes to damage their own body . Some needs to go under a surgery and operations because one of their organs is disable and it is because they didn't give a value to their health .But what do we need to avoid these problems ? For me , just eat nutritious food , have a healthy exercises , and most importantly , always pray to our almighty father . Because he is the only one that can help you in whatever circumstances . And a student like me should know the values of their lives . We should know before its too late for us . Because they always say that regrets are always in the end . And for me , I don't want to regret and die just because I abused my body . Our health is one of the most important thing to take care of. Sometimes people didn't care about themselves , they didn't care about their health. They didn't think that many people die because of not eating well and other reasons. 

(BODY) Every July , we celebrate Nutrition Month. And here  in my school , known as Don Mariano Canoy Colleges , we celebrated our nutrition month last july 31 with the theme : "First 1000 days ni baby , pahalagahan para sa malusog na kinabukasan . We've been through lots of activities and had fun . There were many games , quiz bowls , essay writing , poster making , jingle contest , cooking contest and Mr. and Ms. Nutrition month . And one of the highlights in the program was the pamilihang bayan by which all grade levels have to display different class of foods and have to sell it . And during that day , july 31 I , with my classmates , together with the grade 8 pisces , we brought many kinds of foods . We decided that we should buy healthy and nutritious food . Our teacher , sir myles required us to bring any kind of fruit for our fruit salad . One of the highlights  was the search for mr and ms nutrition month . Our representatives were Maria Lorna Pacanza and John Arwin Gabe . They wore a simple yet fitted for them clothes. And even they didn't won the pageant , They fought a good fight . There were also many kinds of fruits and vegetables that day . The models also perform in the stage and because I am a model , I was able to join in the show . We used vegetables and fruits to design our clothes . And after all of those , the end was the announcement of all the winners. And we won for the pamilihang bayan. With the help of the two teachers , we were able to won. We've won in many games. That day was tiring because of the activities but I enjoy it and I appreciate all of the people who make that day successful . That day is one of my special days here in DMCC. Every day is a new day for us and every day is a new chapter of our lives. Live while we're young do not waste your time for making bad things and crazy things. Do whatever you want but please dont hurt people or even include yourself to some illegal practices. Always remeber and put it on our minds that appreciate what you have and you will find your true happiness. 

(CONCLUSION) Health is really important to us people . Health is a very important word that we have to keep in our mind. Health is not a temporary thing , we must remember it every second of the day, every minute and every hour by taking our breakfast , lunch , dinner and medicines. We should take care of our bodies and eat a balance diet so that we are all healthy. My grandfather died because he abused his health. He was engage in many kinds of illegal practices . He always drink alcoholic drinks and smoke. So , I hope that one day , to those people who are engaging their self in illegal practices will light up their minds. I know that people now a days are just abusing their health . But , how are we going to prevent and avoid these things ? Like what I've said , just have a healthy lifestyle and you will stay longer in this beautiful world. Well I hope and pray that someday , there will be just few people who will engage itself to the things that are not good for the body . People just have to know how important health is . Health is very important to people around the world. And I must say , I want to stay and create memories with my family and friends.

Buwan ng Wika 

 (Introduction) Ang lahat ng tao sa mundong ito ay may kinabibilangang kultura, pamayanan, at wika. May mga maputi, maitim at katamtaman ang kulay ng balat. May matangkad at merong maliit. Pero iisa lamang ang mga ito. Iisa dahil sila ay mga tao. Sila ang ginawa ng diyos upang ingatan at pangalagaan nila ang kalikasan. Dahil wika ang ating pinag uusapan, dumako muna tayo roon. Ano nga ba ang wika ? Sa aking nalalaman, wika o "Language" sa ingles ay isa sa pinaka importanteng bagay dahil lahat ng taong nabubuhay sa mundong ito ay ginagamit ang kani kanilang wika. May iba't ibang wika sa iba't ibang bansa. Pero ang pambansang wika o "international language" ay ang ingles. Ang salitang ingles ay sa mga amerikano. Ang ingles ay tinuturo sa mga paaralan upang matutunan ito. Dito sa Pilipinas ang wika namin ay ang ginagamit ko ngayon. Ang wikang TAGALOG ang pambansang wika dito sa pilipinas. Ngunit may iba pang wika sa, ibang parte ng bansa. Kagaya ko, nandito ako sa Cagayan De Oro at ang ginagamit namin dito ay salitang "Bisaya". Ginagamit namin ito upang magka usap kami at magkaintindihan. Gayunpaman, mayroong tao na pinagsasamantalahan ang wikang ginagamit. Ginagamit nila ito upang siraan ang kapwa tao , ang ibay binobola gamit ang mga salitang binibitawan. 

(BODY) Simula pa lamang noong akoy nasa elementarya , ay idinadaos na namin ang Buwan ng Wika . At noong nakaraang agosto lamang ay idinaos namin ito sa aming paaralan . Ang tema ngayong taon ay "Wika ng karunungan" . Nagkaroon kami nang iba't ibang aktibidades . Kagaya ng paguhit . At kami ng kamag aral ko ang napili para irepresenta ang aming seksyon . Gumuhit kami ng watawat ng pilipinas at mga taong nag propotesta . Sa umaga ,nagkaroon ng mga larong pinoy katulad ng paghila ng lubid , pinoy henyo at iba pa . Sa hapon naman ay nagkaroon kami ng programa o kulminasyon . Sa hapon na iyon ay muli na naman akong rumampa kasama ang ibang mga modelo upang bigyang buhay ang mga manggagawa . Ang napili kong trabaho ay ang doktor .  Naging matagumpay naman ako at walang nangyaring masama . Sa hapong iyon ay nasilayan namin ang isa sa mga inaabangan ng mga stududyante ito ang paghanap sa Lakambini at Lakandiwa . Ang naging kalahok namin ay sina Love Marie Micabalo at Sam Cabaluna . Napakaganda nilang tignan non . Naging pangalawang kampyeon si love marie . At kahit hindi nanalo si sam ay alam naming ginawa niya ang kanyang makakaya para lamang ma irepresenta ang aming seksyon . Pagkatapos nang programa ay kinain na namin ang aming dalang pagkain . Pinadala kasi kami ng mga pagkaing pilipino upang mapagsaluhan namin at para sa aming pista ng nayon . -Pagkatapos naming kumain ay ipinasara ng punong guro namin na si gng minda ang gate namin dahil hindi pa daw malinis at bago kami makakalabas ay kailangan muna namin itong linisan . At ayun nga . Pumulot kami ng mga basura at inilagay sa tamang lalagyan . Ginawa rin namin iyon upang mabawasan ang lilinisan ni chief. Naging masaya ako nung araw na iyon at nadagdagan na naman ang kaalaman ko sa kultura at tradisyon ng isang mamamayamg pilipino. Nagpapasalamat ako dahil idinaos namin iyon. At akoy nananalangin na sana ay hindi makalimutan ng mga nandoon ang kanilang natutunan at sanay alam na nila ang kahalagahan ng kulturang pilipino. 

 (CONCLUSION) Mahalagang matutunan natin ang importansya ng ating wika at kultura upang malaman natin kung saan tayo nagmula at sino sino ang ating mga ninuno atbp. At sa ngayon, natutunan kong mahalin ang sariling atin sapagkat nararapat lamang ito dahil ang iba ay higit na minamahal ang kultura ng mga dayuhan. Ang iba'y mas higit na hinahangaan ang ibang bansa dahil mayayaman at bago ang kanilang technolohiya kumpara dito sa pilipinas. Mas pinapaburan nila ang ideya ng mga ito kesa sa mga pilipino. Kagaya ng mga kanta, sayaw, at iba pa. Kaya balang araw kapag akoy nasa tamang edad na, Gusto kong maging guro sa araling panlipunan. Gusto kong magturo ng ating kasaysayan. Kung paano ipinaglaban ng atung mga bayani ang bansa. Kung bakit namatay at ating inaalala ang araw ni Dr. Jose Rizal at Andres Bonifacio. Alam ko na balang araw, kahit di man ako, sana at alam kong mayroong plano ang panginoon. Sana ay wala ng taong hindi alam ang historya ng kaniyang bansa.
