Okay, I’m going out on a limb here, and I honestly don’t think that’s the animator’s intention, but whatever.

Head-canon (and no one’s going to convince me otherwise): You know how this dress is the one that attracted Makoto’s eyes. This was also the dress the youma controlling the mannequins was wearing (the mannequins all became lifeless after this one was destroyed). 

This was the dress Jupiter described to Nephrite during SilMil as the perfect wedding dress, so subconsciously, this thought stuck to him. And when he thought “perfect bride”, this came to his mind.
