18. What aspect of your muse’s personality is most important to you? What aspect of your muse’s personality do you think is most important to them? Is it the same? Why or why not?

(Questions for mun about the muse) 18. What aspect of your muse’s personality is most important to you? (etc.)

// I think Kirin's most important aspect is that they see the world a bit more equally. They've worked on so many different types of robots with different programming and purposes that it's impossible for them to not judge others in a fairer sense. For example, they don’t really dislike most of Wily’s robots (though they’re still apprehensive, and hope they’ll never be the target of any,) it’s just the big man himself they have problems with. Incidentally, they also disagree with some of Light’s policies, though of course they keep that to themselves.

Kirin thinks that their politeness & kindness are their most important traits. It’s a much simpler thing they like about themselves, since they were, obviously, programmed this way. Their creator wanted them to help as many robots as possible, and intended them to be a cornerstone, proof that there still is good in the world. Now that Dr. Hiroshi is gone, Kirin focuses on this more than ever. Nothing is more important to them than carrying on his legacy.

My answer is different from theirs, because I honestly don’t think Kirin really processes how different their opinions of others are, or at least different from this world’s general consensus of good vs. evil. It’s something that’s simply common sense to them, a subroutine, rather than something at the forefront of their mind; that being the purpose, their life’s meaning, that they work so hard to maintain. Both of these answers go hand-in-hand with each other, though.

(Questions for mun about the muse) 17. Why do you think you connect to your muse?

// When it comes to Kirin, I connect with them for the obvious reasons, since they’re my OC and I put a lot of love, time and research into their creation.

It’s hard to create an OC in general without some form of self-projection, and Kirin Master is no exception. Without getting into too much detail, their story is kind of a reminder for me to be gentler to myself. If that makes sense.

In Ballade’s case, his story and overall presence is just super interesting to me. I started writing him on Twitter to interact with some friends’ accounts of the other Mega Man Killers and it really made me think about his thought process. So it’s also a bit of sentimental value.

I also just think he’s hilarious, haha. He’s just a lovable idiot who likes throwing his weight around to precarious results.

Dark Earths Zodiac

The Underearth

The Underearth is a place of slow-shifting roots, the quietest and most constant life of the forest. Those who find themselves aligned with the Underearth are those who find their truest selves not in the eyes of another or the light of the sun, but in private acts of creation. The tend to be dutiful, capable, and thoughtful, whilst also often being slow to change, awkward, and anxious.

While many pass the Underearth by without notice, those few who make it past topsoil and into the heart below are held dear. It is rare that someone can delve to the true center of those under this sign. The earth keeps its secrets close to its chest-- sometimes, so deep that it cannot find them when it does choose to look. The Underearth are devoted to their work, able to criticize and peek and prod just where it needs, but they have no such luck with probing the self.

People under this sign can be enormously generous. Though less showy than some of the other signs, when the Underearth does choose to shine, they are like a clean cut gem, brilliant, sharp, and precious. They tend to favor gifts of their own making, paying close attention to what it is that delights those around them. They prefer to avoid being the center of attention themselves, however, and often do not know how to react to being shown the same care that they show to those they love.

I think Kirin and Moon would be good friends. Kirin keeps a lot of people at arm's length for several reasons, but her unending kindness definitely makes an impact on them after a while, and they do their best to return the same energy even if they aren't in the best mood.

9. Do they give tough love or gentle love most often? Which do they prefer to receive?

Kirin: "I try to be as gentle as I can. I want to receive the same energy in return, after all."

Ballade: "I guess the first one, but it's more 'tough' than 'love'. If you're comin' to me being all sappy, you're not gonna get anywhere."

10. What fact do they excitedly tell everyone about at every opportunity?

Kirin: "I can repair almost anything in a robot's internal systems. Sometimes even with just a touch of my hand, if the damage is minimal enough."

Ballade: "Out of every single Robot Master in the doc's arsenal, I'm the strongest of 'em all. I can prove it if you want!"
