The neon glow of the city buzzed as Officer Daniels pinned Victor Crane against the Bentley, cuffs biting into the businessman’s wrists. Victor’s tailored suit jacket hung open, his white dress shirt stretched tight across his chest. Daniels’ eyes narrowed, pulse quickening at the sight of Victor’s defiant smirk. “You’re not slipping away this time, Crane,” Daniels growled, voice rough with authority and something darker.
Without warning, Daniels gripped Victor’s shirt and tore it open, buttons flying into the night, exposing a chiseled chest, skin flushed under the streetlights. Victor’s breath caught, his heart pounding visibly beneath his sternum. Daniels pressed his palm against the warm, taut skin, feeling the frantic thump-thump of Victor’s heart, each beat vibrating through his fingers. The raw power of it—fear, adrenaline, defiance—sent a jolt of arousal through Daniels, his own breath hitching.
Victor’s eyes, sharp and unyielding, met Daniels’. “Like what you feel, Officer?” he taunted, voice low, but the tremor in his chest betrayed him. Daniels’ fingers lingered, the heat of Victor’s skin searing his palm, the pulsing rhythm stoking a fire he couldn’t ignore. The city’s hum faded, leaving only the charged silence between them, hearts racing in sync.
