If you follow me for some time then you might know that I like my personal stuff timeless. Timeless to me often means black because it just always works for me and doesn't get boring or overwhelming. This is one of those knives I would've loved to keep myself. 200x80mm lenght wave BO cleaver with a rokkaku hanmaru handle made from texturized ebony wood and blacked titanium torpedo end caps. Especially proud of that texturized ebony. Surely has been done by others before, but I've never seen it. (hier: Wien, Österreich) https://www.instagram.com/p/CfrSHkWMmLr/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Some insights to those beautiful details I was talking about. I love when stuff looks subtle from far but really gets you going looking up closely 👀. PS: had to make the back end wrought iron washer out of flat stock by hand with an power drill and the belt grinder as I don't own a lathe. Worked out quite good though I think 😂. One of my favorites from the latest batch and despite its subtle looks a rather special one. Stabilized white oak cross cut and wrought iron heirloom end cap with a wrought iron washer at the back on a 250mm denty NA gyuto blade. The cool thing about it is that the customer sent me the wood and the wrought. Why? Because the wood is from a local family friend owned lumber mill from the early 1900s. And the wrought iron is from old blacksmith tongs of my customers great grand uncle. Thanks a lot to @alligatorhorseknives for your trust! Black titanium and textured desert iron wood. Always works. Knife went to @middletonmadeknives and wood is from @martinhuber_knives. Huge thanks to both! (hier: Fladnitz An Der Teichalpe, Steiermark, Austria) https://www.instagram.com/p/CfUqE_AM95V/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Something a little more colorful for a change. Went to @elchefepapi. Resin made by @dki_creations. Blacked out blade with polished bronze end caps. Handle is bubble shaped. (hier: Wien, Österreich) https://www.instagram.com/p/CfN8lrIsM9c/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Here it is. One of my Monolith knives with take down scales made from amboyna burl. They're held in place by modded stainless screws and washers made from heavily etched wrought iron from the 13th century. The customer has the option to use the knife with or without the scales. Makes for a very different appearance either way but definitely works and is comfortable both ways. This knife was very challanging to make because I had to fit the scales to the forged surface of the frame handle. It was fun because it worked out, but I don't know if I want to make that again 😅. Also notice how the grain of the wood flows like the scale silhouette is shaped. Took some inspiration by gun stocks there. My favorite shot of the knife that will soon be available through my newsletter. Forged from one 5mm thick piece of 1.2519 (tungsten alloyed high carbon steel). (hier: Wien, Österreich) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ce6bHN8MKWv/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

If I would tell you that this thing will be the first of its kind that I'll make available directly, you'd know where to look, right? Monolithic All Steel Integral blacked out. Forged from 1.2519. Still not sure about how to name those kind of knives. 'Integral' is definitely not enough as this term is associated with forged bolster knives. 'Mono' is associated with beeing mono steel which is why I say 'monolithic' now as in to apply its all steel. And then I also say 'all steel' just to be sure everyone gets it? Nah... Not really happy with it. Any suggestions welcome! (hier: Korneuburg) https://www.instagram.com/p/Ce1F2N9MUrf/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Knife holder for pics (holding a knife I recently sold through my newsletter 🐒). It's forged from one piece of 30x10 flat bar. The idea was to bear the knife in a floating appearance and cover as few parts of the knife as possible by the holder itself. Also my thinking was that the forged steel will blend in with my backdrop and not be too dominant in the picture, yet will be a great fit with my forged knives. Opinions? Yet another batch finished. Had some really great knives within this one again which I'm very excited about to show you. Soon vacation time starts so next batch will take a little longer. I've got lots of content to keep you entertained though. Over 700 pics from that batch 😂. (hier: Korneuburg) https://www.instagram.com/p/CewGftIMpFV/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

How soft that steel once was when it was hot not to break during such heavy deformation. You can almost feel its plasticity. Yet in the cold hardened state it's in, in the picture, it's anything but soft. But it remains the looks as if it was - pretty much forever. Denty ftw. Also love the translucency with slight green glow of that polycarbonate glasfiber 30% handle material. (hier: Wien, Österreich) https://www.instagram.com/p/CemDMEBMO5S/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Which picture would've been your first choice? Often I struggle with the choice which pic to choose as the first one shown in my feed 😅. (hier: Wien, Österreich) https://www.instagram.com/p/CeWkhfgs0Rk/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
