Childhood Memory

When I was 9 years old, I remember my parents and I had a trip together with my father’s friends in our neighboring country, Laos. It was a 2 week trip and it was also my first time ever leaving a country.

We started off by going to the north of the country. There were mountains everywhere in Luang Pra Bang. Even though I was in a van I remember getting dizzy that I threw up. During our travels in the north of the country, we got to visit a lot of natural places. For example, the waterfall was nice but pretty crowded. There were blackbears as well that showed how natural it was. I got to try so many types of foods I had never seen before. I was excited.

Days later we drove down to the center of the country. It was the capital, Vientiane. On that exact day I remembered it was my 9 year old birthday. Me and my mother saw a bakery and I asked her if we could go get a cake for my birthday and she said yes we could get it after we bathed. I was super excited to buy my birthday cake. After finishing showering me and my mom walked over to the bakery shop but on the way we saw our tour guide holding a box of cake and she explained that she bought that cake for my birthday. I was so happy and thankful for her. It was one of the best birthdays I’ve ever had. Then the whole crew sang me a happy birthday song and we got to eat that delicious chocolate cake. It was one of the best childhood memories I’ve had
