Final reflection on CAS experience
What did you enjoy most about CAS?
Participating in physical activities (running and hiking) was enjoyable because it helped me stay active and relieve stress from studying.
What was your greatest challenge and how did you overcome this?
My greatest challenge in CAS was perseverance. That is, systematically completing each strand of CAS despite the heavy load of school work. Additionally, for the aspect of ''activity'' it was hard to find motivation to go running in the cold winter weather.
What have you achieved through CAS?
Creativity: I enhanced my problem-solving skills and learned how to bake new things. Overall I have become a better baker in terms of time management and effectiveness of the end result.
Activity: I improved my physical fitness and discipline, building resilience and perseverance.
Service: I became more socially responsible by engaging in my local library and developed organization skills by rearranging books.
What abilities and skills did you develop most significantly in CAS?
In terms of running, I learned to run far longer distances. Through running regularly, I developed a better condition and this became easier for me. Moreover, in terms of baking, I learned new recipes and perfected old ones. For instance, after numerous times of baking chocolate chip cookies I perfected them.
Which learning outcome did you find most easy to achieve? Most difficult to achieve?
For me the easiest learning outcome to achieve was Learning outcome 5: Demonstrate the skills and recognize the benefits of working collaboratively. I found this easy because I enjoy baking with friends and family and was able to communicate with them effectively. Working in a team also allowed me to learn from others and develop problem-solving skills. For instance, if something went wrong with the given thing we were baking and I didn't know how to fix it, chances were that the other person did and vice versa. Furthermore, the outcome hardest to achieve was Learning outcome 6: Demonstrate engagement with issues of global significance. This was more challenging because it required finding meaningful ways to contribute. While I was able to research global challenges, taking concrete action or making a direct impact proved more difficult.

Evidence of demonstrating the skills and recognizing the benefits of working collaboratively (LO5).
Since I am a worse skier, I had the opportunity of learning from others. I carefully listened to their tips on posture and technique and was able to improve my skiing form.

I continued to arrange children's books. Since children ongoingly displace the books around the library, it takes a lot of time to gather all the missing books and arrange them in a coherent manner.

Since it is colder I took a break from running. I ran slower today as I had to get back into the habit. This shows my commitment to and perseverance to running.
