So, my mom wanted something with a happy ending, so I asked if she minded a bittersweet one, and she said "no" so she's been watching Lost Song. Dad just got home and I told him what I turned in for her and he said I should've turned on Kanon because it's really sad in the middle, but it doesn't technically have a happy ending. Then we started throwing titles at each other of sad anime: Grave of the Fireflies, Plastic Memories, and he said Fullmetal Alchemist because Nina doesn't get a happy ending. I said Angle Beats and Dad said he's never seen it's ending! He's only ever seen the first 4 episodes of Angle Beats and that's a crime

When I was early on in my transition I got in a Lyft, and the driver was this big country guy. I was a little nervous so I just sat quietly in the back.

After a moment he changed the music on his phone to what sounded like a Hatsune Miku song. Curiosity got the better of me, so I finally spoke up and said “is this Hatsune Miku?”

And he said “Yep. You looked uncomfortable, and I know Transgender women like Hatsune Miku, so I thought it might help.”
