One of those ‘pick two pills’ things but it’s things I actually want

so i work in a pharmacy and i have spanish patients occasionally that don't speak english. i've been wanting to brush up on my spanish, so i compiled some phrases i regularly need to say to them and was wondering if any polyglots would be willing to look them over for accuracy?

We have a medication that we are going to put away tomorrow, can you pick it up today? = Tenemos una medicación que vamos poner de nuevo a la mañana, puede la recoger hoy?

Do you know that the dose of your medication has increased? = sabe que la dosis de su medicación ha aumentado?

We need a new prescription from your doctor, there are no more refills = Necesitamos una receta nueva de su médico, no hay más de las renovaciones

news documentary channels in french on youtube

hi everyone! recently i've been listening to news documentaries for listening practice. the language is understandable and it exposes you to a bunch of different topics. i'll update the list as i find more!

arte: on the shorter side in comparison with the videos from the other channels, varied reporting on lots of different topics, but i'm especially a fan of the episodes about social media and the internet.

food story: exactly what it sounds like, documentaries about food, how it's made, restaurants, etc.

750g tv: this one is similar to food story, in case you want more varied options.

ailleurs - reportages voyages: travel and tourism, in a lot of their videos they go to french communities in other countries to see why they moved to that place, what they are doing in the local community, etc.

a decouvert: this channel is about finances and the economy, but for some reason i really like their videos on how supermarkets run.

reportages et investigations: this channel isn't as specialized as the others, but as a result has a large variety of topics to choose from.

if you know of any others, send them my way and i'll check them out and add them to the list!

the (undated) 2022 astro planner!

for the past month ive been working on new digital planners! this set includes a light and two dark mode planners, one of the dark mode versions has 12 astro themed illustrations and annotations. It includes dated and undated templates so you can continue using it after 2022. The templates:

How’s your weekend going? Studied commercial law today as I have work next week. My external school exam is in January so I need to start studying for it now.

P.S. A number of you asked me about my planners. They are printables from my Etsy shop. This 2022 printable calendar with habit tracker is also on my Etsy shop now. It’s a PDF download so it can be imported to Ipad note-taking apps too :)

balancing self care and studies

make sure to get enough sleep - all nighters are NOT good for maximum brainpower, trust me. try to make a routine of what time to sleep and wake, as it helps you to feel refreshed during the mornings.

water! at first i hated drinking so much water because it felt like a chore. so, instead i used one of those big two litre diet coke bottles. it means that i can fill it once and then use it all day, without having to keep getting up. remember, your body can only absorb so much at a time, so small sips!

if it gets to the point where your brain is shutting down and you simply cannot think anymore - then don't. pushing yourself overworks you and ultimately means you're not learning/studying as effectively. try taking a small break, fifteen minutes without your phone, just move your legs, give your brain a rest. if you return and still cannot work, take a longer break or even stop for the rest of the night. you need breaks!

allow yourself some pampering. it doesn't have to be much, but washing your face can make the world of difference. cold showers are refreshing, warm ones are more relaxing. to each their own.

make sure you're living life outside of your studies. sure, for now it may seem like it's everything, but neglecting your mental health is even worse. please take care of yourself.

do some exercise! yes, yes, i know. but even ten minutes of some stretches can do you the world of good. make sure you give your body some work, especially after longer study periods. try not to over do it though - sometimes people do longer workouts, which although aren't inherently bad, it can make exercising feel like a chore.

hobbies! find something fun that you like to do, watch a movie, read a book, do some artwork! (and if you do some - tag me please #snippetsofsherlock )
