Through all the years, there have been votes over things like woman, race, and gay rights.
My question is, why do we have to vote for something like that?

Officially, Queen Elizabeth II has never spoken publicly about marriage equality, which is now the law of the land in England. The “royals” are supposed to remain politically nuetral. But according to Brittish comedian Stephen Fry, the queen, who will turn 90 in April, is both surprised and pleased by the historic turn of events.
Stephen was a guest on The Jonathan Ross Show last Saturday, giving an account of his own recent wedding to comedian Elliott Spencer, when he tantalized the audience with a peek into the Queen’s personal opinion of gay marriage.
"It was only last summer that Her Majesty The Queen gave the Royal Assent," Stephen told the host. "When the Queen signed the Royal Assent for the Equal Marriages Act, allowing gay people to marry for the first time, she put it down and said ‘Well, who’d have thought 62 years ago when I came to the throne, I’d be signing something like this? Isn’t it wonderful?’"
According to Gay Star News, Stephen characterized his source for the queen’s comment as “well-founded.”

What if someone made a movie set in the future, where overpopulation is threatening the human race. As a result the government issues a law banning straight marriages, in an attempt to lower the birth rates. Then, people start suing saying that it’s unethical to make a certain love illegal. The irony would be so unbearable.

What LGBTQ+ Pride is NOT about: “I am proud of my sexual or gender identity because it is better than yours you stupid straight people, you cannot be proud to be yourself”
What LGBTQ+ pride IS about: “I am proud to stand strong as an individual of worth and value even though I and people like me suffer against systematic social pressure and prejudice and by showing you that I am not ashamed I am making you realize that I will not be silent about what is wrong with society”

Whether the statistics be old or new, the numbers don’t lie. I’m posting this so it catches your eye. I’m posting this so you realize we are more than our gender…we are human beings. I’m hoping that you’ll share this, educate and raise awareness. I’m hoping it made you think twice and turn your head and wonder. I’m hoping you will be on board as a voice for change because statistics like these? They’re absolutely ludicrous. It’s time to speak up and fight! Fight for what is RIGHT. Fight for those too scared to be themselves. Fight for the silent. Hell, fucking fight because it’s the right thing to do. From one being to another, I urge you to take a stand. Whether it is big or small…you too can make a difference. ✌️💚 #transgender #transgenderpride #equality #noh8 #suicide #awareness #statistics #strengthinnumbers #transman #transwoman #lbgt #lbgtq #truth #life #like #trans #selfmademan #selfmadewoman #fuckhate #documentary #lessons #suicideawareness #transition #hrt #hormones #testosterone #estrogen
