Daughter of the One True King

On semi-hiatus. Call me Kath (or Kathy if you'd like!). Modern-day Katherine Plumber. Christian (Baptist). Just trying to figure everything out. Mistakes are made, but I am forgiven! Ask me anything, and I'll do my best to answer or to direct you to someone who can answer. Please forgive me if I don't answer messages or asks right away. Important: what I say might not make much sense to you if you're not a believer. It might not make much sense if you're not Baptist. Please just keep that in mind, and try to understand where I'm coming from. I'm not here to hate. I'm here to love all of you and help you in any way I can.  NEVER SEND HATE TO ANYONE.  John 3:16, Acts 16:31, Joshua 1:9

Hello :) I would like to politely ask you to explain why you are anti-abortion? Do you believe in any exemptions that would allow abortion? Do you have evidence that supports your belief that women and womb having people would be better off and more safe if we banned abortion in all 50 states? Thank you for taking the time to reply :)
Thank you for asking so kindly! It’s very refreshing ^^
I am passionately anti-abortion because science confirms the unborn is a unique human life and because it is always wrong to murder a child. Therefore, I do not believe in any exceptions for abortion.
In cases of rape, the child is a victim. Abortion gives the death sentence to an innocent person, and killing the baby won’t change the fact that a horrific crime was committed. The child is a chance for something beautiful to come out of an atrocity, and also provides DNA evidence to convict the criminal. Both mother and child deserve dignity and compassion for the crimes committed against them. We punish the rapist, not their victims.
In cases of birth defects, disabilities are not justification to kill someone. Doctors are often wrong with the diagnosis and prognosis, and even in the worst of cases where the baby won’t survive birth, we do not kill them prematurely - especially in gruesome ways of abortion! Fetal palliative care is possible, the sick and injured deserve care, not to be killed. The truth of it is, in the end we don’t know what will happen or how long someone will live and it is not our place to choose when someone lives or dies. We give them their best chance at life indiscriminately.
In cases of the mother’s life being endangered, abortion is never medically necessary (AAPLOG, Dublin Declaration). Everything is always done to save both lives, but sometimes the baby tragically dies secondary to measures taken to save the mother. Intentionally killing the baby is never, ever required. Ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages are not abortions and the process to treat these are distinctly different medically, morally, and legally.
Women would ABSOLUTELY be better for it if we banned abortion
Over 60 million babies have been aborted since Roe v. Wade, that’s roughly 30 million women that were never given the chance to live, to dream, to thrive because they were killed in utero. At least one person dies in EVERY abortion, it is the leading cause of death. In New York City, more black babies are aborted than born alive. Our country would be safer with abortion banned. The bans in places like Texas and South Dakota have already been saving lives.
Serious side effects can occur from abortion, including scarring, hemorrhaging, sepsis, maternal death. Future infertility and greater risk for future miscarriages and ectopic pregnancies. Higher chance of developing breast cancer. Risk of mental illness including anxiety and depression increase significantly along with alcoholism. A woman who has had an abortion is 115% more likely to exhibit suicidal behavior.
Depending on the source, 64-77% of women report feeling coerced or pressured into abortion. Those women don’t want an abortion, but for a variety of reasons - family, financial, etc. - they feel they have no choice. These women would be better off if abortion was banned. They do not need people telling them it’s okay to abort their baby, they need a society that understands the value of life and empowers them by telling them it IS possible to have their baby.
The abortion industry directly promotes sex trafficking and makes it easier for sexual exploitation to persist. “One groundbreaking 2014 study of sex trafficking survivors indicated 88% had reported contact with a healthcare provider, 30% with Planned Parenthood and 19% with women’s health clinics. In looking at areas of sex trafficking and abortion, this study highlighted that out of 67 women, 55% had at least one abortion, 30% had multiple abortions.” [x]
Many women like Melissa Ohden who have survived failed abortions continue to fight for the right for life.
Pro-life is pro-woman!

have you been overwhelmed at the fact that God forgives your sin today? have you been brought to your knees by the mercy and grace of Christ’s blood poured out for you, a wretched sinner?

All life is a gift from God. From the moment it starts, it is not meant for any person to decide when it ends, inside the womb or outside. All life is a gift from God.

I’m pro-life. I care about babies in the womb. I care about babies outside the womb. I care about the children those babies grow into. I care about the adults those children become. I care about all life, and I’ll do everything I can to help.

“Before I formed you in your mother’s womb, I knew you…”
Even before the moment of conception, God knows us. That ball of cells, that fetus, that baby… God knows them, just as He knows us all.

As a Christian, I can be nothing else. God recognizes us as people even before we are conceived. That means God values every conception as a life. All lived are precious in His sight, and that means they should also be precious in mine.

The same outrage that we see today was seen when slavery was abolished. And someday killing the unborn will be seen with the same sadness. Every life, no matter how small, deserves to be protected 💙✨

Going through old asks and replies my posts have gotten. My heart is breaking all over again. Maybe it’s foolish to think I can change anything in this world. I guess I’m still a “sweet summer child” or whatever you all like to call me because I’m not going to stop trying to make things better.
Lord, if it’s Your will, please use me to make a difference for at least one person.

I haven’t always spoken with love on this blog. Looking back on my posts, I think I thought I was speaking lovingly. I intended to speak lovingly while still speaking truth. Sometimes I think I failed in that. The intention was there, but it did not always translate across the internet. The tone was lost in the typing.
I would like to apologize for my harshness. I was younger then, and I thought I could change the world with a blog. Maybe I still can, but not in the way I was doing it back then.
My beliefs haven’t changed, but I’ve realized that I need to change how I go about this all. Love first, and then loving edification.
I hope you all have a great day. Love, in Christ,
Kath
