EQ Paris 2024: Day 3 & 4
The partnership between the two has been continuously growing since the day of Chester’s first ride. In all those years, there have been many miscommunications, mistakes, and misses. It’s the unfortunate thing about a horse of his size, no matter how much you adjust their canter or set them up for the fence, it will never truly be a perfect stride in a course designed for a 16.3. Whilst it’s a price for some, Elizabeth has always kept her faith in the stallion, and no matter how close or far the stride is, they always seem to just make it by.
When interviewed post-round, Elizabeth is asked the same question they’ve asked every rider: “What’s the one piece of advice you’ve kept with you?”
Recalling her pony club coach’s words with a smile, she answers, “To breathe- and keep that f**g leg on!”
It’s their second Olympics together, and it’s safe to say that the pair has made their country proud. With clear on both days, many tears of joy were shed for everyone involved.

The torrential downpour would not get in the way of this final performance. Feu was determined to shine, even if the weather was not in alignment. WEC Calagero, or "Cal", had been with Kismet for many years, and it was decided he would be retiring after the Olympics. The duo was striving for one last great score. After the Olympics, Cal would be standing at stud. The Hanoverian stallion has a pedigree to die for, and a competition career to impress. We can't wait to see what the future brings.

what reshade/gshade preset (or settings) do you use? :D
I always make my own. I also always tweak exposure, colours etc in Photoshop on top of that.

A day with Kuse Showjumping
Apparently I never got around posting this back in February when I finished it, better late than never eh? I've learnt that stuff that I post on here is saved for the future whereas the forum for which I create it comes and goes. And it's actually nice to be able to go back and not only see the old pictures but also read the stories. I made a story like this 10 years ago, you can see it here, this time in the perspective of Howler, my main stallion (and Pigalle's sire)
Characters included: Katrin - rider, Camilla - main groom, Jens - breeder, responsible for the broodmares and young horses
On wednesdays Camilla is responsible for the morning feeding in the stable. We share stable with other horse owners and this setup is proven to be the best for everyone involved. The grooms and hired staff can take turn on the early mornings in the stable.
Geneva HX & Camilla
While the horses are finishing their breakfast they have their blankets changed. It’s not always appreciated to be disturbed during breakfast… Can’t wait for better weather and warmer days when the horses can be turned out without blankets!
Until 11 AM the walker is reserved for stallions, this means that the stallions are ridden first and mares & geldings in the afternoon. Pictured is Pigalle who always starts his days after breakfast with 45 minutes in the walker.
While Pigalle is in the walker Camilla is preparing Camaro L for his daily work with Katrin.
After the first horse is ridden it is time for the humans to have some breakfast. The time is spent discussing changes in the daily routine, upcoming shows and travel details. All done while mindlessly browsing online and flipping magazines. Once breakfast is finished the day continues, Camilla preparing horses for Katrin to ride.
Popeye S & Calpawald’s Calimero
Twice per day Jens visits the pastures with the youngsters making sure everyone is doing ok and checking feed and water supply. Kuse Showjumping has a small string of broodmares and youngsters of every age. Once they are ridden they are the responsibility of Katrin & Camilla.
One horse done, next one to go! Camilla leads Johnny Kann Jump S to the indoor for Katrin to ride and brings Mrs Killy S back to the stable for her post riding care.
A couple of times every week the horses are ridden outdoors. Oftentimes Camilla and Katrin rides together but today Katrin was busy elsewhere so Camilla took Common Touch S out for a spin in the afternoon sun.
Pigalle loves to spend his time in the pasture, so much that the team try to keep him out as much as possible. He’s not bothered when his pasture neighbors are brought in by dinner time, he happily chews his hay all alone in the fresh air. Most days Katrin takes him to the stable before she heads home for the day in the evening.

Equiality Sims Olympics - A Grand Equestrian Showcase
After months of dedicated preparation, building, and meticulous planning, the long-awaited Equiality Sims Olympics is finally LIVE! Riders from across the community will compete in the ultimate test of skill, grace, and determination as they showcase their talents in Show Jumping, Dressage, and Eventing.
The competitions are set to unfold in front of the Château's grounds, framed by rows of manicured trees, lush hedging, and ornate fountains. The Dressage and Show Jumping competitions will take place in the main arena, with riders performing rounds against the backdrop of Versailles' expansive gardens. In Eventing, the cross-country phase will take riders across the varied terrain of the palace landscape, with obstacles that integrate into the natural environment.
For those who missed our qualifiers for the T-Show, don't worry—we’re excited to announce an exclusive Challenge Event just for you! While teams compete for their nations in Paris, this challenge is your space to show how your sims celebrate the Olympics. From behind-the-scenes shots of competitors, watching live streams of the events, or maybe participating in a non-equestrian discipline, we want to see your interpretation of the Olympics! And now, it's time to go for Gold!
This challenge serves to allow you creative freedom without participating in the Olympic T-Show, and will offer many of the same participation prizes.
Join us in this thrilling display of equestrian excellence and community spirit. Get ready to witness breathtaking performances, unforgettable moments, and fierce competition as we crown our Olympic champions. 🏆
Let the games begin!
Special Thanks
Special thanks to @simaddix for allowing us to recolour their grass sets, @thejim07 for letting us convert their statues and decorations, Emeline Durand for the help with the world and Lance Donckers for permitting recolours of his fences and lorries. Their amazing content has brought our vision to life, and we're deeply grateful for their contributions.
