Words: 3,043 Pairing: Thominho Fairy Tale: Beauty and the Beast
Based on your request for Thomas taking place of his sister, I chose the original Beauty and the Beast fairy tale with very slight Disney elements (because my memory of the fairy tale on its own is shitty.)
Writing this style is super difficult. I don’t know if I did it justice ;w; mind the typos -_-
All he wanted was to give his family a chance at survival. They weren’t family in the traditional sense, Jorge was a childless merchant whose wife died of sickness previous winters ago. The children he cared for now were not his or his wife’s, they were birthed by strangers and abandoned on the streets. They were orphaned children, brought close to death by sickness and neglect, but Jorge, who was a compassionate man, brought the children under his wing. He raised them and cared for them and would leave them in the care of the best nannies when his travels took him far. He would bring them gifts from far away towns; told them stories about the company he had kept or the harrowing dangers of his work.
Brenda grew safe and comforted by the luxuries of her father’s work. She was adventurous and pretentious, beautiful to those who saw. She had suitors courting her from all wakes of town, but none seemed to satisfy her desires. She was kind to those she loved, but cold to those she didn’t.
Thomas was a simple boy of simple needs. He grew up in the company of books and his father’s stories, and often spent his free time in the libraries of town or his father’s study. When Brenda had company, Thomas hid away behind his books and often dreamed his life away on adventures in far off lands.

Minho running up to Thomas all excited to tell him that they weren’t the only Maze and then offering his seat to Thomas while he straddled the bench next to him.

Thomas and Minho staring at each other, silent communication, before they took the doctor “hostage”.
Thomas and Minho passing the gun only between each other.

Down in the mall, when Thomas says “Let’s split up” and it’s automatically assumed that Minho is going with Thomas, they didn’t even have to discuss it.

The look of absolute terror on Minho’s face when that first Crank came at Thomas when he turned the lights on.

Thomas and Minho holding hands while pushing Teresa towards the lever.
The look of shock on Minho’s face when Thomas shoved the gun away from them before it went off.

Minho asking “Why didn’t you run?” when Thomas is shoved down next to him, wishing Thomas had saved himself instead of coming back for them.

The pleading look on Minho’s face when he gets stunned.
Thomas trying to fight everyone off to save Minho. The desperation in his voice as he kept shouting Minho’s name. The honest to God tears in his eyes as the plane took off.
“I promised Minho. I won’t leave him behind.”
