The Dark Warlords in order of appearance, from The Ronin Warriors/Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, Sunrise 1988.
20 years on and I’ve finally developed the artistic skill to draw fan art of some of my favorite childhood villains that I am gosh darned proud of.
After having re-watched the show, it’s clear that this is one of those action cartoons that heavily influenced my art in style and atmosphere.
While I don’t really have time to do art challenges these days, in light of how much fan art I’ve already done in the last few days thanks to this nostalgia bomb, I’ll go ahead and call this a first entry for @samuraireflections YST art challenge. We’ll see how much time I’m really willing to mortgage on this inspiration kick.
