So I’m writing a fanfic where Linkle joins the Chain but I need a nickname for her, because just calling her Linkle feels weird. Any ideas?

So remember that post you made about time not knowing his own eras Hyrulian but knowing wars?
So funny addition to it. What if time had a journal that he wrote in wars Hyrulian since that's the language he knows better. And several years down the line a scholar finds it and is baffled. Even if we assume wars is after twilight that is still hundreds of years apart and languages change. The scholar thinks it's some sort of code. They look through other codes and find no match. They look through times records and don't find much. They ask the surviving family and they have no idea. Maybe they hear rumors that time might have been a fae. But even if they pursued that lead the fae won't know since it's from the future. Scholars agonize over it for years but no leads. Hundreds of years later a new scholar wants to see and maybe solve the code. The journal is old and the reason it isn't dust is because of a preservation spell. The scholar opens the journal carefully and..... Sees modern hyrulian. Everyone loses their mind. Has the journal been replaced? Tampered? Actually much younger then records suggest? What makes this even worse is that this is the child timeline. These people don't know him as the hero of time. In present time, wars talks to his Zelda about the fact that time can't read his own hyrulian. And this reminds her of something. She brings wars to the archives to investigate. And there it is times journal in his handwriting writing about his daily life. Mundane stuff. If time finds out about it he definitely be laughing his butt off. Maybe that's how it happened, he found out and after he was done writing in it gave it to his Zelda for safe keeping knowing the chaos he would make down the line.
I can 100% see Time, who's generally not a writing and reading kinda guy at all, purposefully, painstakingly keeping a diary simply for this purpose! He scribbles out all sorts of things in the most beautiful handwriting on earth (because he's GOING to commit to the bit) and when he passes, he wills that Zelda will receive his "records" which she preserves because she thinks they're words of wisdom or encouragement for a future hero.
Meanwhile, he did the whole thing because in the break time during the war, there were these scholars who were trying to chat with all the warriors of the past and were talking about an ancient text and he got to see them realize it was their own language, firsthand.

Time x Lullaby fake dating scenario
Yes, I am aware that that man is very much married to Malon, but hear me out!
When they were all a bit younger, before Lullaby became queen, her advisors were very insistent that she gets married, since, well, there's the whole matter of having an heir or whatever so that Hyrule's future is assured, since the royal family is, y'know, the only people able to seal back great evils with their powers and if they die before they have kids then the kingdom is totally screwed. And Lullaby isn't exactly what one would call a cautious, timid princess, so they were pretty worried.
Anyways, it's decided that before she can take the throne, she has to be married. Not expecting, she just has to be actually married to someone.
Time and Lullaby have no feelings of each other in the romantic way (maybe in the old timeline, if you want, but this one? absolutely not!) but Time is still in his wildish era and Lullaby is not keen on actually finding herself a husband because, well, she's got other things she considers more important than hunting down the right partner! Still, in order to have the power she needs to help Hyrule, she'd gotta be married, so she writes to Time with something along the lines of "can you marry me for like, six months, so that I can ascend the throne? Promise to divorce you with a nice settlement after, and you won't actually have to do husband shit, just pretend for the court. Also, I won't give you political duties, so you can just bum around the castle fr the whole time, how's that sound?"
And like, Time shows Malon, and she's a bit nervous about the matter, but she also hasn't confessed properly to him since they've become adults, so she's honestly just trying to be supportive and so she tells him to do it f he wants, and Time being a dense Link, he takes that as her thinking it's a great idea.
So yeah, Time is Lullaby's ex-husband now, and she refers to him as such. it's never "Link, I need you to come to the castle" it's "ex-husband, can I convince you to see me for a moment at my place?" and now that they're all grown, Malon actually thinks it's hilarious, and Time also commits to the bit. In private, Lullaby is "the ex-wife" or "my shrew" in contrast to Malon being "my beloved wife" or "my darling/dearest/mavourneen"
Malon and Lullaby also address each other as "ex-wife" and "current-wife", in a playful sort of way.
Lullaby's advisors were not pleased at being played, but they couldn't exactly dethrone her for divorcing her husband, especially when it was clear no heir was going to be coming anytime soon with him IN the picture, so now they just have to keep their mouths shut while their divorced queen rules solo, and the bets they can do is ask if/when she'll start looking for a new husband
The settlement money/alimony is, as promised, fantastic, and Malon and Time used some of it for their wedding. The rest is kept tucked away for when they have kids or if they fall on hard times. Additionally, Time got a nice portion of Hyrule Field (right next to Lon Lon) in the "divorce", so they also expanded the farm since then, and are doing quite well for themselves.
Lullaby did attend their wedding. People didn't stop talking about it for actual years. Some think she was regretting letting Time go, others just think she's oddly supportive. Some suspect there was some sort of affair, but nothing can be proved. Regardless, Time and Malon spent their first year of marriage enjoying reading gossip columns about it and laughing at all peoples' ideas on the matter.
Anyways, yeah. Happily divorced Lullaby/Time!

I don't write more Ralph content because if I did, it would be 80% Ralph going "I know him better than you do and am the superior friend" and actually knowing Legend as a person and being aware of like all of these little niche things about him because Legend's friends def communicate his needs to each other behind his back and Zelda absolutely feeds it, but it would also be 20% Ralph pretending Legend is the biggest pain in his ass to ever exist despite the fact that they both know it's all an act, except the Chain wouldn't know that and thus are both very confused and defensive and it would generally just be a constant show down of "who's the better friend?" and as fun as that is, it's not a plot and makes for just a very info dupy fic and not any actual STUFF happening
and yet I still get struck with the urge some days T-T

So I’m not much of a writer but these ideas have been knocking around my brain for a while so I’m just going to chuck them into the wilderness of Tumblr and see what happens to them:
The Chain meets the Link from either the CD-i games or the cartoon.
Linked Universe but it’s Wild from after Age of Calamity rather than Breath of the Wild, could be interesting to see where his character goes if he succeeds the first time?
btw if anyone does write these pls tag me so I can read them thanks

RB if you’re an LU fan who’s “actually played the games,” yes, the newer games like botw & eow count. You may also RB if your first Zelda game is currently on your to-do list as a direct result of LU. ✨ Manga & watching let’s plays can also count. 💞
