math lesson for you! (Based on what I learned last minute for a final! I think it's correct-) To understand (basic) trigonometry, you must know SOH (Sine=opposite/hypotenuse), CAH (Cosine=adjacent/hypotenuse) and TOA (Tangent=opposite/adjacent). Now let's take a triangle ABC rectangle in B. If we look at the angle C, the BC side is adjacent to it, AC is obviously the hypotenuse, and AB is opposite of C. To calculate an angle using trigonometry, all you have to do is now which sides are what to the angle, and then you’ll always get the lengths of two. For example, for our ABC triangle, let’s say CB = 3 and AC = 7. We know CB is adjacent, and AC is hypotenuse; so we use cosine: 

Cos C = BC/AC Cos C = 3/7 C = Arccos OR cos^-1(3/7) = 64,62306647 ~ 65º

Of course this is on a calculator, these aren’t the Elias’ old times where he had to know those cosine, sine, tangent formulas.
