Penny could spot a greenhorn from five miles away in a dense fog. Management must have been in a hell of a bind, but she wouldn’t complain or make judgments. Everyone started somewhere. “My suggestion? People-watch on your downtime. That way, you’ll learn behaviors and you’ll know how to proceed,” she suggested. She nodded to a group of men in one of the section. “Waiters get a shit rep, especially in a place like this. Your best bet? Craps table in the casino and the lounge of the hotel. That’s where the money is. You’ll find people who are wanting to show up their colleagues and they’ll drop hundred dollar bills like it’s nothing.” She’d gotten a mixed reaction from her profession, but her shame had long since gone. Of course, she’d never tell her mother that the money she sent home every week came from dirty hands, but if it helped her mother get down to one job, she’d do this job gladly. “It’s the people who don’t want sex that I often prefer the company. They normally want someone pretty on their arm who can make them look good and dazzle the uppers with wit and charm. Escorts get a bad rap.”
“You know what? I think I just might do that. Even if it doesn’t help me with the job, maybe it’ll finally help me get used to this place. I’m sure you’ve figured out that I’m not the most experienced when it comes to places like this.” Ben knew that he wasn’t any good at hiding the fact that hew was a newbie. His general discomfort around half naked women and such public displays of sexuality were a dead giveaway. “Thanks for the advice but I doubt that they’d wanna get someone as inexperienced as me for a job that requires handling so much money.” Being a waiter at the Ruby Club wasn’t exactly Ben’s first choice of employment but they seemed to be the only ones who gave him the time of day and he wasn’t about to turn them down. “There are people like that?” He asked, his voice full of surprise. He supposed that it made sense. Of course everyone wasn’t looking for sex but he never even considered the possibility. “It seems like everyone seems to get a bad rep but hey, if you like what you do and get to meet cool people then who cares what the masses think right?” Ben was starting to feel a bit more comfortable with her now. Maybe it was because he was actually having a conversation with her but the whole ‘escort’ thing wasn’t really a factor that he was focusing on anymore.

Penny couldn’t relate on that front; she’d been working more or less since she was twelve. Working was all she knew. “It’s more or less learning as you go,” she commented. Trial and error was the best way she’d learned and it was the best advice she could give. His reaction to her being an escort would have annoyed her at any other time, but this time, she found it amusing. “It has its moments. Not all sex, sex, sex. You meet a lot of interesting people.”
Ben knew that it was strange to never have worked especially at his age but his mother forbade him from doing so and he wasn’t one to break the rules so he just followed along with her. “I was afraid you’d say that,” he sighed. This whole ‘independent’ thing was brand new to Ben but he supposed that to learn what to do, he’d have to do it. “Th-that’s interesting. I’m assuming you get to talk to a lot of people from all different walks of life and learn a lot.” He still wasn’t totally calm but he decided that faking it until he really felt comfortable was the best course of action. “But from an outsider’s point of view, its kinda hard to think that its not all ‘sex, sex, sex.’”

“I used to work in strip clubs as a shot girl. You learn a thing or two about it when you work there,” Penny explained with a chuckle. She’d been dealing with men like these patrons for years, since well before she was old enough to serve alcohol. When it came to the service industry, men were mostly similar. “I’m an escort here. I finally worked my way up.”
“Ah that makes sense. Maybe you can give me some pointers then. I’ve never actually worked anywhere before,” Ben admitted, his own chuckle following her’s. When she revealed herself to be an escort, Ben felt the heat rising in his face as he looked away. Somehow, he still found the idea of talking to an escort embarrassing. “O-oh. That’s...cool. Um is it fun?” He mentally slapped himself for such a poor excuse of a question but he couldn’t take it back now that he’d already said it.

“You’re doing fine,” she assured him again with a bright smile. It didn’t feel like that long ago when she’d been in his position. Worrying about the job she’s doing and how to broach uncomfortable scenarios such as a patron with clearly his favorite stripper. However, it happened. “I’d set the drink in his line of sight. Or even just make your presence know, firmly and without drawing total attention, hand him the drink, and go. Oftentimes, the girl or guy dancing will let them know they’ve got a drink.”
Ben gave the woman an appreciative smile in response to her assurance before letting out a low whistle at her advice. “You sound like you know what you’re talking about. I don’t remember being introduced to you when I started though. I’m assuming you’re not a waitress,” he wondered aloud. She certainly knew her stuff. Heck, she knew better than he did but then again, he didn’t know much just yet.

The nervousness was so apparent in every syllable Ben spat out, that she felt disappointed in herself for not picking up on it the very first second. “He is, or I wouldn’t be here,” she said with a slight shrug of her shoulders. Helena knew that she did her job really well because, frankly, she really enjoyed it. She liked making people feel wanted, needed, as if they craved something that only she could sate. It was still too soon to be sure, but perhaps the way Ben couldn’t look away from her body in that moment hid more than pure embarrassment—she couldn’t help but be tempted to figure it out. His words brought a soft, bemused smirk on her mouth. “Okay, I believe you,” she said slowly whilst raising her hands up in defense. “But I gotta ask…why not? With a face like that, I bet lots of girls wouldn’t miss the opportunity to dress up for you like this. Or however else you want.”
For the most part, Ben was okay with the track his life was on but in moments like this, he really started to wonder how he found himself in a place like this. All throughout his life, Ben had been a quiet and shy kid. He’d always follow the rules and he never did anything that wasn’t safe yet somehow he ended up following a crazy dream and ended up working at a sex club. He wasn’t sure if his seventeen year old self would be drooling at the sight before him or crying. “Good point. I hope I end up earning my keep as well. I don’t wanna mess it all up already,” Ben offered with a shrug of his own. Now that he was feeling as little bit more comfortable, of course she gave him a line that completely threw him off. “Wha-what? I-I don’t know about that. I mean, thank you. Thank you very much but like... I’m just average. Girls aren’t lining to d-dress like that for me or anything...” The words came out of him in a garbled mess but he hooped to God it made sense.

A soft, friendly smile pulled the corners of her mouth as she shook her head. “Not at all, Trust me, I’d still be in there if I hadn’t finished.” It’d been a long while since Helena got used to…this. She’d learned to jump in and out of outfits on a daily basis, with the purpose of fulfilling men’s deepest desires for however long they needed her—as long as they were willing to dive their hands deep in their pockets in return. In that job she’d found her own self-confidence and discovered the unpredictability of passion. She felt as comfortable posing in white, thigh-high stockings and a short skirt, as she’d feel in her favorite jeans. That’s the reason why it took her a short moment to pick up on the shock and embarrassment pouring out of Ben. The poor guy looked like he could faint. “Uh, are you alright?” she question whilst quirking her eyebrows upwards. “I was about to suggest we head down together, but now I worry you’ll faint on me,” she mused jokingly.
Somehow Ben kept the blush that was already plastered all over his face from deepening at the blonde’s words. Instead, he managed a soft chuckle. “Its good to know that you take your job seriously. I’m sure the boss would approve,” he stated with a smile. As he spoke, he finally picked his gaze up off the floor in order to look her in the face. It was polite to look at someone when speaking to them after all but unfortunately for Ben, her outfit caught his eyes once again, He couldn’t help it. It was very eye-catching. “I’m fine!” He blurted all too quickly in response to her question as his eyes darted up from her chest to her eyes. “I’m just not used to...” He trailed off as he searched for the right words. “I’m not used to all this I guess,” he explained as he gestured towards her lack clothes. “But I should be fine. I can’t promise that I won’t faint but I’ll try to keep myself upright for your sake.”

( closed starter for @keepxfloatingon )
The slightly creak of the suite’s door opening was the only sound that echoed in the broad hallway. The very first thing Helena did as soon as she stepped outside, was hook her fingers underneath the straps of her heels and take them off. “Fucking hell,” she sighed in pure ecstasy, her eyes rolling at the back of her head as she rested her back against the wall and left her feet to breathe. Her client, who was still napping in the suite, had a fetish with heels—which meant she’d kept them on for the entire encounter. She gave herself a moment to regain her balance before opening her bright blue orbs—and realized she was no longer alone in the hallway. “—Hey!” she greeted the guy whilst plastering a comfortable grin on her lips. “Ben, right? What’s up?” she asked kindly. After all, there was nothing awkward about her wearing the schoolgirl outfit she’d used inside. Right?
Ben didn’t know what he was expecting to see when walking down the hallway but it certainly wasn’t this. The sight before him was almost too stimulating. He didn’t even know where to look. From the look on the blonde’s face and her general demeanour, it seemed as if she was completely unbothered by the fact that he stumbled upon her dressed like that. “H-hi..” He stuttered as he watched her straighten herself out. Normally he’d be apologizing and looking away at this point but right now, he stood transfixed. Maybe the shock overrode the embarrassment that he’d usually feel when faced with a similar situation. “Um...just y’know....wandering around,” he answered. It was then that he realized the situation he was in. Almost immediately, a crimson colour made its way onto his face and he looked down at his shoes where it was safe. “I’m assuming you were just with a client huh? Sorry to disturb you while you’re....working. I’ll just get outta your hair.”

SHE HAD FOUND a habit out of watching the shy waiter – her own viridescent orbs following his every movement as he made a poor attempt at providing drinks. a giggle escaped the blonde’s mouth when ben returned to their spot at the bar. “ take it EASY, ben. at least your job doesn’t require people’s attention, ” anneliese mused as she tucked a strand of cornsilk hair behind her ear. she had just finished her set on stage, clad in a figure-hugging plunging black dress – a far cry from her little schoolgirl costume she wore onstage a mere fifteen minutes before. “ so, did you enjoy the show ? ” her lips curled in a teasing smile.
Working at a club certainly wasn’t turning out to be as easy as Ben had hoped but the sound of a familiar giggle brightened up his mood just a little bit. “I think it requires a bit of attention. Do you know how hard it is to give someone their order when you’ve got zero attention?” He asked the blonde, as he turned to face her. She’d made a habit out of teasing him whenever she could but he was glad that he was actually able to find someone to talk to here. He couldn’t help but take a look at the blonde’s outfit before his eyes immediately darted up to her face while a light blush made its way onto his cheeks. Her next question wasn’t totally unexpected but that didn’t stop the blush from deepening. “I-it was...very nice. Good work.” As he spoke, his eyes fell to his shoes. It wasn’t possible to look her in the face when he was saying something like this.

Penny watched the exchange between waiter and customer, an amused quirk pulling at her lips. When one had was occupied, the other couldn’t think straight. Her other client had finished up quickly (and tipped her for finishing that fast) and now, it was a simple waiting game for her next appointment. “Word of advice,” she started to say as Ben passed her. “Ice it less so it doesn’t water down. And if a hot girl is on a man’s lap, he can’t think about anything else other than her. It’s not you, it’s him. You’re better than you think.”
As he heard the woman speak, Ben immediately, whipped around to give her his attention before smiling. “Thanks. It’s nice to know that I’m not completely screwing it all up,” he stated as he made himself comfortable next to her. There was no point running around if no one was asking for him right? He would probably look even stupider if he did so. “So what’s your advice when I do have to deal with a situation like this?” He asked curiously. “I’m sure anything would be better than just standing there awkwardly.”

sanaaas:
Often, if she had time before her set, Sanaa would inhabit the bar for a little liquid courage. She’d already been working there for almost a year, yet she still got nervous, and because she still felt the same herself, she could spot the tell-tale signs of a newb from miles away. The waiter awkwardly trying to avoid making contact with the others stuck out like a sore thumb. “You don’t suck, you’re just new, and you’ll get used to soon,” she states bluntly and plucks her shot off the counter, quickly downing it, “Just.. act like all the ass and tits aren’t there, and you’ll be fine…” she shrugs, and down goes the second shot, “or openly stare at them, cause that’s what they’re there for.”
Ben gave the woman before him a small smile of appreciation before shaking his head. “I dunno. I’ve been here for weeks. If I haven’t gotten used to it yet, is there really any hope for me at all?” He asked before letting out a little chuckle. From the get go, Ben knew it wouldn’t be the easiest thing for him to acclimate to the club environment. It was so different from his previous life after all. “But I’ll take your advice to heart. I just hope I don’t die from embarrassment if I stare openly at it all.”

When he first started working at the club, Ben figured that he would get used to the environment over a couple of weeks. Now here he was, a few weeks later, still awkwardly trying not to look at a man getting a lap dance as he tried to give him his order. Unfortunately, the man wasn’t concerned with him at all and instead of taking the outstretched drink Ben offered, all of his attention was on the woman on top of him. After a few moments of trying to get the man’s attention, Ben just sighed, left the drink on the table and walked back to the bar. “I suck at this,” he muttered under his breath.

If there was one thing that she liked about the job, it was the clothes, something about being in lingerie and a rob, walking around a club made her feel something, was it power? Maybe. Sexiness? For sure, but there was more to it than that. Whatever it was exactly that gave her that feeling, she didn’t care to find it out yet, she just wanted to enjoy it. She was trying to make her walk as sexy as possible, but truth be told, she was lost and needed some direction.
The day so far had been insane. Ben had been running around for what seemed like hours without getting a chance to take a seat until finally, it seemed like the patrons decided to slow down with their orders. As Ben finally took a seat at the bar, he noticed a woman making her way towards the bar in a very suggestive manner. He hadn’t been working for very long so he still wasn’t acquainted with all the employees just yet. Unsure of what to do, Ben just gave the woman an awkward wave as she walked up to him. “Uh..hi. Are you lookin’ for someone?” He asked curiously.

( Hi there. Az again and I still suck at intro-posts. )
╰ ° ☽ ( douglas booth, he/him, 20, heterosexual ) ben parker is a ( waiter ) at the ruby club. some say he’s ( optimistic & caring ) while others say he’s ( awkward & quiet ). he enjoys indulging in ( rough sex, dirty talk & biting ). however he’d rather not indulge in ( vore, scat & watersports )
Alrighty! Moving onto boy number two, this is Ben. He’s a lot more upfront about how terrified he is about the future than Adam is.
Ben’s parents met when they were incredibly young and got married as soon as his dad turned 18.
For the most part, his parents led a pretty happy life but while his mom was still pregnant, Ben’s dad passed away in a car accident so while Ben was growing up, the only person around was his mom.
Because they only had each other, Ben and his mom were incredibly close.
Ben also took up playing music on his dad’s old guitar since it was really the only way he felt close to him.
Since it was only Ben and his mom, she tended to overwork herself and by the time, Ben was a teenager, she’d become very sick. She’d always supported Ben’s dream of becoming a musician though so she made him promise to pursue it after she passed away.
She ended up dying two years ago and Ben’s tried to honour her memory by leaving his hometown and trying to make something of himself.
Unfortunately, he hasn’t been very lucky just yet so he’s currently working at the club as a waiter in order to make ends meet.
For the most part, Ben’s a well meaning kid but he’s shy and naive about the world which can lead to some poor decision making.
