Sad day today😕 13 years ago I paid for two #trekpaard colts to be brought from the #netherlands #Holland to work in the #wimpoleestate #woodlands which I managed at that time. Unfortunately Bas had to go as he bolted to many times but John stayed on the estate #horselogging right up until I was told I was not to mange the woodlands anymore so for the last three years he has had a lazy time although he also used to prepare the ground for a small area of heritage arable crops Think there are many people going to miss this tank of a horse and I can honestly say it’s been the only proper working horse on the estate all financed and trained out of my own pocket . Hopefully his new home will adore and work him as I’m no longer allowed to keep him at Wimpole, shame really as he’s a damn good working horse https://www.instagram.com/p/CRwpaSfhs3Z/?utm_medium=tumblr

Gjoa haven from Sadeik on Vimeo.
Following the footsteps or should I say the sails of Admundson the Tecla sailed into the harbour of Gjoa Haven where Admundson stayed for two years. A lovely spot although a tad barren, the walking wasnt quite as good as the last spot but there was plenty of interest plus we saw a snowy owl

Nasty ash over the multi use trail at #Wimpole 😳 unfortunately it’s has to be down sized as it was in a very dangerous condition but we left the main trunk as it is #hollowasabarrel nice place for bats to hibernate https://www.instagram.com/p/CG4dNOsJFwp/?igshid=14117u1mywv4u

Longnetting by night from Sadeik on Vimeo.
Longnetting is a very old traditional rural skill, one where the odd poacher or two has snaffled a rabbit or two from under the noses of those who know not what occurs on a dark and wide night I hasten to add this was all above board (was it!) Anyway three rabbits for the pot and some very odd things going on at night which we would never have seen without the Guide Sensmart infra red camera
