Kenma’s schedule as a streamer changed as the years passed by: when you first started dating, he would take one day off to spend with you; after you got engaged and, eventually, married, you’d play with him every once in a while. Now, his streams during weekends starts after nine pm and his birthday is a stream-free day. 

All of these changed because of your daughter, the sweet and energetic Mai. The young girl, at the age of 4, was a daddy’s girl - and it was safe to say Kenma was wrapped around her little finger. In order to spend a quality time with you two, Kenma changed his schedule, and he couldn’t be happier.

However, this year was an exception. His community was surprised when he announced a special stream on October 16th, featuring player 2 and player 3. It was no mystery that said players were you and Mai, Kenma always referred to your little family like that.

a note from the owner iii (and hopefully last)

Hello!!

It's been so long since I've last showed up with a solid update, but here I am. There's this saying in my country that a good son/daughter eventually comes back home, I feel exactly like this.

Lots of things happened, long short story I made to college, I am suffering with college, but I'm a happy (and sometimes defeated) college student! Because of that, I've been really focused on my studies, trying to keep up with everything, you know?

I didn't have time and inspiration to write, but guess I needed a bit of incentive to get back on track. So yeah, I'll try to write again slowly to get the hang of it.

And to do that, I will not write the works in progress I have on this link. I'm not sure if I'll leave them discontinued or if I'll write them again eventually, but I wanted to have a brand new start. There are stories that I hold close to my heart and I want to write them, but not now at least.

Guess it's time to clean the shelves and welcome the new season!

[9:30 AM] sundays were the most awaited day in your household for a variety of reasons: you could sleep in, enjoying the warmth of your bed; have your cheat meal of the week, an agreement you’ve made with your husband to accompany him of his diet - though yours were way more flexible than his; and last but not least, the perfect day to spend with your little family.

you indeed slept more than usual, but the absence of your lover on the bed made you wonder why he would leave the room. the answer came to you in a high pitched and loud - but still adorable - laugh of your daughter. a smile crept to your face as you got up, heading quietly towards the noise - the living room - to see the small girl and her daddy having their moment.

“kaguya-chan!” hinata beamed, kissing repeatedly her chubby cheeks. she shrieked in delight, throwing her short arms around his neck, pulling him closer to her. “eu te amo, minha princesa!”

“amo papa!” mixing portuguese and japanese was a common occurrence, but every time kaguya uses the two languages in one sentence it makes your heart flutter. the three year old girl seemed to enjoy herself while talking in her father’s first language and the one she’s most exposed to while living in brazil. “papa, eat pão, papa.”

“let’s wait for mamãe, okay, sweetheart?” he proposed, looking at his beautiful girl with such adoration you knew was reserved to her only. “as soon as mama wakes up we’ll have breakfast, does it sound good?”

“sim!”

“well, does kaguya-chan wants to have pão for breakfast?” you asked, making your presence known to both of them. the young girl removed herself from her father’s grip, running to hug your legs, a mix of ‘good morning’ and ‘bom dia’ falling from her lips. “let’s have breakfast, shall we?”

kaguya nodded excitedly, heading to the kitchen to sit on her usual spot. hinata got up from the couch, his arm sneakily wrapping itself around your waist. leaning on the curve of his neck and shoulder, you happily received a kiss on your forehead - which you reciprocated pressing your lips gently against his jaw.

“good morning, meu amor.” hinata whispered, his fingers massaging your hips. tilting up your head, you met his loving eyes, your hand slowly making its way up his back to the nape of his neck, playing with his orange hair.

“good morning, vida.”

“mama, papa, i want pão!” kaguya demanded, interrupting your loving moment. while laughing at her eagerness to eat, you guided yourself and hinata towards her in order to make your breakfast.

“alright, princess, let’s have breakfast.” hinata agreed, both of you moving swiftly around the kitchen.

there was no better way to start the day.

[8:30 AM] the sunlight shot directly into kuroo's eyes, making them squint at the bothering sensation. he thought to himself how nature could be joking with him, with such a blue and clear sky when a storm washed his insides.

muffled voices echoed in his head, a familiar voice read through written words, hiccups interrupting their speech occasionally. kuroo didn't fully comprehended what they were saying, but at some instances he understood the feeling.

"now, let's hear a few words from kuroo tetsurou." as the man heard his name being called, he stood up from his sit at the front row, stopping behind a casket adorned with beautiful flowers. kuroo took a folded paper from the inside pocket of his coat, taking a look at the audience - a mix between his family and yours, which became part of his own.

"the first thing y/n told me when i confessed to them back in high school, they said 'i can't believe someone as handsome as you could like someone like me'. i was stunned at their statement. those words did not make any sense to me, because all i saw was the most caring, polite, bright and lovingly person. someone i always saw helping people around even though they missed most classes because of their stays in the hospital. how could i not like them? i promised myself i would always remember them how much i liked- no, loved them every single day, because when you're in love, you want to make your lover feel special. and i'm pretty sure i kept my word.

loving them was as natural as breathing, you don't notice you're doing it, but when you do, it feels more intense. it surely had their hardships like any other relationship, though ours were… different. instead of arguing about leaving wet towels on the bed, we discussed about the upcoming treatment for their disease they didn't want to carry on.

people didn't understand why we decided to marry so soon after we graduated college, but we knew why. another different point in our relationship from the average was the fact that, even though time is not infinity, ours certainly was running out.

i wish i could say i did everything y/n dreamed of, but i didn't. i hope they forgive me about this, we had so much to do, but so little time.

however, one thing i know i did was remind them how much i loved- love them. i love them when they wake up in the morning, with drool on the corner of their lips. i love them when we had our meals, even though they hated those moments because it was painful for them, but showed their strength. i specially love them at four am every time we rushed to the hospital because they were in pain, since i couldn't do anything for them besides be there. i love them, so much."

kuroo stopped himself for a few minutes, cleaning the tears on his cheeks whilst taking a deep breathe. he was almost done with his speech. he could do it. for them.

"y/n tried to avoid love and being loved, because they knew their time here was unfairly shorter than the average. and still, i loved them until the end, and i'm grateful i did." kuroo looked to his side, at your beautiful portrait. although his heart was broken, a smile still managed to appear on his face. "there's something y/n told me one day that i want to share with you as i finish this.

there are two types of love in your life: the love of your life - a irreplaceable person, who will always have your heart; and the love for your life - a great love, you'll hold it closely to you, but… it's just different. y/n can be the love of your lives or for your lives, and loving them even after they passed it's fine. just because you heal, and we all will eventually, doesn't mean we don't love them. we do, but we do in a such a powerful way that we allow ourselves to move on."
