Prometheus was a Titan who stole fire from the Gods to give to humans and was punished. Imagine a fantasy book where someone risks their life to help a mistreated population. Idk sounds cool.

especially if you’re writing multi pov, you want each character to have their own distinct voice. that is to say, the reader should be able to tell who’s speaking without being told.
the most important piece of advice is to know your characters. if your character is very confident they might speak (in dialogue AND narration!) more directly than a character who is unsure of themselves. understand how a character would react to a situation and write it accordingly.
think about what your character is interested in. different details stick out to different people. if your character is an artist, they will be more likely to notice artistic elements in their surroundings. include descriptions of paintings or architecture that the artist would notice but another character might not.
the use of figurative language can also show voice. a very direct person will use fewer metaphors than someone who is more nuanced. when you are using figurative language, relate it to your characters. for example, if one of your character is a musician use metaphors relating to music.
also think of the words words characters use. an adult is going to use more complex language than a child. you can also show a characters education by the words they use.
develop a few words your character uses constantly, like their catchphrase. what’s their favorite curse word? what do they say when they’re excited? this can help differentiate your characters for the reader.

i would say i am a hardcore plotter and i go into a lot of detail for each aspect. this changes a little for each of my wips but generally most things stay the same. all of this is compiled on one google doc.
the first page (or more) of the google doc is where i throw down everything i think of throughout the whole writing process. this includes random vibes, name ideas, any plot points, etc.
next i move on to worldbuilding. i make little boxes for each aspect and fill in everything i can think of for each. i have a post that goes through a lot of different aspects.
for character building i take a template i made that goes through everything from physical features to their innermost desires to a detailed backstory. i try to answer everything for the mcs, but for side characters i just answer what is relevant to the story.
the last section is the actual plot. i first take all of the plot points i have come up with previously and organize them chronologically. Then i make a detailed outline of each chapter.
The format is like this:
this usually takes a month or two depending on how much i work on it (usually like two? hours a week) and i NEVER start writing before i feel like everything is written down. it’s sometimes really tedious but this allows me to actually write and not stare at a blank page for hours.

all of the information in this post comes from my own experiences with ocd. i wanted to make this because there are a lot of misconceptions surrounding ocd, and no, ocd is not just color coding and needing everything to be perfectly straight (though it can be for some people). ocd manifests differently for everyone, so these are just some examples.
what is ocd?
ocd stands for obsessive compulsive disorder. this means people with ocd experience both obsessive thoughts and compulsions.
obsessions are unwanted repetitive thoughts or urges that the person can not shake.
compulsions are repetitive actions the person does the eliminate the obsessive thoughts.
one of the things that connects this all together is that the person knows their thoughts aren’t real, but it is still very hard to ignore them.
obsessions
common obsessions are hyper fixating on a certain word or number and seeing it everywhere and paying close attention to superstitions.
other obsessions that i have experienced are feelings of uncleanliness in certain places—usually related to touching fabric—or feeling like i forgot to do something even though i can remember doing it. i also often worry if i have my phone even though i hadn’t moved since the last time.
compulsions
common compulsions are tapping or fidgeting, repeatedly washing ones hands, or performing ‘rituals’ like flipping the light switch 20 time to prevent a loved one from dying.
often when one has obsessive thoughts compulsions are used to deal with them. i often double or triple check things like my alarm or whether the toilet is running at night because the thoughts would keep me up otherwise.
treatments
one common treatment for ocd is medication. different medications work differently for different people and it often takes multiple tries for someone to find the right one. medication will not eliminate all symptoms, but it will make them more manageable.
behavior therapy can be used its its own or with medication to treat symptoms. this means forcing oneself to do things that make them uncomfortable (like touching blankets) to overcome specific symptoms.
usually simply telling yourself out loud that the thoughts are not real can eliminate obsessive thoughts

obviously this does not cover every single aspect of worldbuilding. you also don’t need a detailed answer to each of these questions. this is just a quick guide to follow if you’re not sure where to start or if your world is detailed enough.
Calendar
how many seasons are there? what is the weather like in each season?
how many months are there? how are the months named?
how many days are in a month? days in a year?
are there any celebrations for the solstices? what other weather related events are there?
how do the people in your world keep track of the years?
geography
what’s the terrain like? is it rocky? flat? mountainous?
what major bodies of water are there?
how does the geography affect the plants and animals in your world?
history
what major events shaped your world?
what events are celebrated? what events do people try to hide?
has the same ruler/family always been in power? if not, what happened?
society
how are the social classes divided? is there a lot of division between the classes?
what is the social hierarchy like in different communities?
does the ruler have absolute power or is power spread out among multiple people?
how do the different genders interact?
how do the people in your world interact with foreigners or ‘others’?
what do people do for fun? is there a lot of time available for leisure?
how does the justice system work in your world? is it always fair?
economy
how much do things in your world cost?
do the people in your world use money or do they trade other things like plants or animals?
how economically stable are people in your world?
is there a big divide between the wealthy and the poor?
what resources are found in your world? what resources have to be imported from elsewhere
education
who gets educated in your world? is there universal education or is it only for the rich?
whats subjects are deemed most important? what subjects are not taught?
what are the benefits to being educated?
