Let me ramble for a hot minute. Here's some horse genetics for your simbs! Dun is one of the oldest pattern genes in equines, so much it's often referred to as 'primitive markings' and is even found in the oldest surviving breed today the Przewalski's Horse, though found in modern breeds too.
