HOPE IN GOD.
Do not think like everyone else does. Think like a child of God.
Fear God.
Preserve the Word. Teach the Word to those who can share it responsibly to other people.
Put our hope in God. He can take care of us gently.

MORE THAN GRATEFUL.
Oh, Thank you, O God!
You listen to my pleas and my cries. You forgive me a million times. There is steadfast love in You and you always save me and redeem me.
You deserve all the praise, O God! You deserve everything in our lives. Thank you for letting us come to you whether we’re feeling good or bad. Thank you for not letting us pretend what we’re feeling.
Lord, I am counting on You. I trust You. My hope is in You. Please let my soul await you patiently. Let me look for you continually. Let me long for your help that only You can give.
Thank you, Lord, for You are God!

PRAISE GOD.
WOW! It is just so amazing that David praised God for everything! And it’s true that we should praise and worship Him for everything, every day, forever.
Verse 4 says that “Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power....”
Let us not be the walls to the next generation about God. They are the ones who will continue to proclaim God’s goodness and greatness. This is why young people are so important because they are the next generation to tell about God to their next generation.
Let us always testify about God’s moving in our lives! There will always be a reason to praise God, so praise Him!

GOOD THING ABOUT GOD’S PROMISES.
God’s promises are not to harm us, give us hope and a good future. And in times when we are in sufferings and we pray, He will listen. When we look for God wholeheartedly, we will find Him. And when we find Him, the sufferings are done. We will then go back to our homeland. And it is with God. That is our homeland, with God.

WHAT GOD DOESN’T WANT.
God’s laws are perfect. His testimony is sure. His precepts are right. His commandments are pure. His rules are true.
The Word of God must be desired much than anything else in the world. They should be desired more than fine gold. They are sweeter than the honeycomb. His words are the sweetest Word of all.
Please, O God, let my mouth and heart be acceptable in your sight.
Being famous or being in a high position is something we should all be careful about. For most of the time, it leads to pride. It leads to thinking that no one must replace you or if ever they replace you, they must not be above you. And this is not what God wants.
It is so amazing that the prophecies are fulfilled. How much more are the promises God promises to us? He can fulfill anything He wants to fulfill. He can do whatever He wants. And it is just so amazing that God is God.
Scripture: Psalm 19:7-14; Matthew 2:3-23

HOPE IN GOD.
In times of trouble, we are sure that God will help us when we cry to Him and ask for help. It is true that if God keeps records of wrongs, we would not last long. But thank God because God doesn’t and so He deserves worship and that we must fear Him with holy fear.
We trust in His promises, His word and we wait for Him.
Hope in the Lord because His love never fails, never ceases, never gives up. He redeems and saves every child of His own who sins.
ALL PRAISES AND GLORY TO GOD!

GOD IS GOD.
It is amazing that God is God. He can do anything He wants.
When King Ahaz told God that he won’t test God in asking for proof, God still wanted to give that proof. He told that a virgin will be pregnant and will have a son named Immanuel (Jesus Christ). And it is told that even when the boy is not old enough, he knows what to choose between right and wrong, that he refuses evil and choose good. Even when He is God, He will still be nourished as a child of any normal child that was being raised. And because of Him, two kings will be destroyed.
But the Lord will make more trouble for Ahaz’s people and his kingdom because he is a king full of wickedness.
So, really. God can do whatever He wants, whatever He pleases.

TOGETHER IN EVERYTHING.
Woah! Amazing!
We see that if the church works together as one, God will continue to bless the church more. They would sell their property and possessions and give money to whoever was in need (verse 45). Their relationship is so close. Their church service is also done in the homes of the people. They OFTEN met together and shared EVERYTHING they had (verse 44).
If during their time the church can do it, I believe our generation can do it, too.

BEFORE LEAVING.
Before leaving those people under your care, make sure that you have told them everything God wants them to know. Make sure that they will look after each other. Make sure that they are shepherds to sheep of the church.
When leaders leave their members, other people will attack them because they know that the leader is gone and they may not be as strong as the leader so make sure that they have a strong foundation and no one can ever destroy their faith in the Lord.
Paul has warned them with tears in his eyes every day and night for three years because he really didn’t want the people to just be carried away by false teachings and arguments.
Make sure that they are filled with the knowledge of God’s undeserved grace for us.
Paul is a very great leader. He didn’t want anything in return. He set an example of how to lead. He always give than receive.

PLANT THE ROOTS. 🌱
When we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we must keep on following Him. It’s important that we obey the will of God rather than of our desires.
Verse 7 tells us that we must plant our roots in Christ so that our foundation is strong. Seeds are planted in us and so we must keep the roots stay strong for us to fully grow and mature. We have to be strong in the faith and that’s why it is important to plant our roots in Christ.
When we have that strong foundation, we cannot be fooled by senseless teachings and arguments. Even though they sound wise, we know that it is not true because it is not from Christ. The only way we can tell if those teachings are true when it is from God.
Jesus Christ has taken away all our selfish desires and it is important because we submit to His will and plans for us.

ANOINTING BY THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Before Jesus Christ left the disciples and apostles, He first taught them everything that they must learn. He also gave orders to the apostles. Jesus told them to not leave Jerusalem because they are still to be baptized with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit’s anointing to us is very important when we serve God because there comes the power of God in Jesus’ name.

NOT BEING SELFISH.
We share the Good News because we are not selfish. We don’t want that what we’ve experienced are just limited to us but to be shared with others. People may be so ashamed of sharing the Gospel because nowadays, it is a shame to have a Bible with you or to share things about Jesus. But it doesn’t matter, we are called to glorify God and not the people. So, tell others about Jesus! Tell others about the changes in your life that are truly blessings to you. Do not be selfish. Let them experience it, too.

PRAISE AND WORSHIP.
Wow! I am just so amazed about how John described the praises to God. It is like a roaring flood and loud thunder that is mixed together. It means that there are many people praising God! How wonderful!
In times of praise and worship, I am excited when the crowd is praising through their voices with no music. My heart is in awe when things like that happen.

JUST THE TRUTH.
Barnabas = Son of Encouragement
He sold a field he owned and brought the money and gave it to the apostles. Afterward, Ananias and Sapphira sold also some of their property. However, they didn’t give all the money to the apostles. They kept something for themselves.
And then an amazing thing happened. Peter knew what Ananias and Sapphira had done. He asked Ananias but he just lied. He didn’t just lie to the apostles but he also lied to God. After this, Ananias died and was buried by some young men.
Sapphira, not having a knowledge of what had happened to his husband, was also asked by Peter but the same as her husband, she also lied. And so, she died also and was buried beside her husband.
What I learned about this passage is that when we are asked about something, we just have to tell the truth. Because if we lie, we didn’t just lie to the person asking, but we also lie to God. And when we lie to God, there are consequences.

KNOW JESUS.
When we do not know who Jesus is, we may not tell ourselves that He is the Son of the Living God. But when we truly know who Jesus us, there is no doubt that we know Him as our Lord and Savior.
When we truly know who Jesus is, there are blessings.

Fasting helps us to be more aware of what the Holy Spirit is telling us. It is much clearer to know what God wants us to do when we do not eat and just pray.

SPECIAL GIFTS.
God gave each one of us a special gift that we can use to glorify Him.
Each church, there is a gift: 1. apostles 2. prophets 3. evangelists 4. pastors 5. teachers
It did not say each person because not all people may have these gifts but has other gifts from Christ. Like maybe cleaning, cooking, etc.
The important thing is that God gave gifts that we can use to glorify Him and to add more people to His Kingdom.
Scripture: Ephesians 4:7-13
