In letzter Zeit ereignete sich viel in meinem Leben. 

Ich habe meine Bachelorarbeit abgegeben, bin umgezogen, habe meinen Studiengang geändert. Und obwohl gerade das letzte Ereignis nach etwas Kleinem und unbedeutendem klingt, so hat es doch mein Leben vollkommen verändert.

Seit ich 12 bin hatte ich Latein. In der Schule habe ich es gewählt und bis zum Abi nicht losgelassen und auch im Studium sollte es mich begleiten, bis ich 23 wurde.  Doch es wurde Zeit für eine Veränderung. Latein war immer Teil meines Lebens, aber nie meine wahre Leidenschaft.  Nun ja, zumindest versuche ich mir das gerade einzureden. Doch wer Computerlinguistik studieren möchte, kann sich kein zweites Studienfach leisten, da dies nicht von der Studienordnung vorgesehen wird.

Und gerade darum dreht sich das ganze Leben. Darum alle Wünsche in die Ordnungen der Systeme und der Welt hineinzuquetschen, damit man bloß irgendwie leben kann....

Ich vermisse Latein jetzt schon.

Latin was spoken roughly between the years 300BC and 600AD (although certainly not the same throughout this time period). It was a highly inflected language with seven cases and a relatively free word order. The verbs could be conjugated into six tenses, four moods, and two voices. Although nobody’s native language today, the remnants of it can still be heard in the almost 700 million people who call a romance language their native language.
