mitsuya:
“what?” your eyes were trained to the ground as you held out the muted purple furoshiki towards him.
“i said take it.” you mutter, not looking him in the eye.
“what is it?” mitsuya asked, you felt his hands ghost over the bento before you shoved it in his hands. “you have eyes, don’t you? just take it and go away.”
you say before walking away, you didn’t get far before a hand stopped your figure from moving.
“look at me, (y/n).” mitsuya gently urged, pulling you near him.
“no.” you bluntly said, feeling your face warm at the contact. you couldn’t see the way mitsuya was looking at you. he’s always found you cute, but with the way you kept brushing him off and huffing everytime he was in your general direction, he thought that you hated him, but he didn’t miss the way you would stare at him by the window of his clubroom whilst pretending to be emerged in the conversation with your friend.
“come on, if you don’t look at me, i’d start to think you like me.” your head whipped to meet his eyes at his words.
“no i do not!” “there’s those pretty eyes.” he says as he smirks at the glare you sent him.
“shut up.” you say, “give me back the furoshiki when you’re done.” you turned away, snatching your wrist from his hold, but you didn’t get to turn around fully before he was facing you once more.
mitsuya only gave you a small smirk, before raising your hand to his lips. his lips pressed softly on the skin of the back of your palm before he let go and gestured to the bento.
“itadakimasu.”
chifuyu:
“ha?” chifuyu glared at the bento you were holding, as if it were something offensive.
“has the gang fights messed up your comprehension? i said, this is for you.” you say, pushing the bundle of food in his arms.
“why would i take this?” chifuyu asked as he pushed it back. you both glared at each other before you huffed and looked away.
“i worked hard on your stupid yakisoba. just take it before i shove it down your throat.” chifuyu blinked, his glare disappearing as his cheeks reddened.
you made homemade yakisoba… for him?
he was snapped out of his thoughts as you rolled your eyes and grabbed onto the bento, feeling a bit dejected but of course, you wouldn’t show him that.
“if you don’t want it, i’ll just eat it. i don’t care about what you do.” you muttered the last sentence to yourself.
“ha? no. give it to me. it’s mine.” chifuyu said, glare back on his face as you stared back at him.
“you’re so damn confusing, matsuno.” you say, letting go of the bento, cheeks warming at the thought of him holding the bento you prepared for him protectively in his grasp.
“so are you.” chifuyu rolled his eyes. “how about you meet me in the cafe tomorrow so i could give you back this furoshiki.” chifuyu muttered, cheeks turning red.
“are you asking me out-” “no!” yes. chifuyu said quickly, but anyone with eyes can see the way his cheeks were flushed and the way sweat was beading up on his forehead.
“it’s to return your damn furoshiki! don’t get it all twisted.” chifuyu confirmed, you rolled his eyes but the warmth of your cheeks still haunt you.
“whatever. just make sure it comes back to me in one piece.” with that you turned around, biting your lips to ensure the giddy sounds that threatened to escape your lips would not escape.
chifuyu watched as your retreating figure turned the corner. once you were out of view, he looked down to see the cat-patterned furoshiki staring right back at him. he let out a smile before turning around and walking away.
“oi, takemichi, help me out on this date!”
baji
a loud thud awoke baji up from his sleep, his brown eyes were hazy but filled with irritation as his nap was interrupted. his head shot up and he looked to the side only to see your figure in front of him.
“the hell do you want?” baji grunted, putting his head back on top of his folded arms as he tried to sleep.
“did you not hear the bell ring? it’s lunchtime, dumbass.” you say, taking a seat beside him, baji groaned before closing his eyes. “oi. didn’t you hear me? it’s lunch time. you have to eat.”
baji opened his eyes only to roll them at you, “i forgot my wallet at home. i’ll eat after school.”
“that isn’t healthy, baji.”
“why do you even care?” you huffed at his question, reaching into your bag and handing him the cream colored bento.
“i don’t. i just don’t need to be questioned by the police when you die of starvation.” you say as if it made sense, but it was baji you were talking to. he probably wasn’t even listening to what you said at this point.
unbeknownst to you, he did. he just liked seeing the small blush on your face as you stammered over your explanation. he knew you couldn’t lie and it was obvious but he didn’t say anything and continued to humor you.
“what?” you asked, glaring at him sharply as you turned to see him staring at you with a smirk on his face.
“you’re cute when you try to pretend you don’t like me, dollface.” you clenched your teeth at his words, face warming up.
“you’re delusional.” you say before opening your own bento and digging into the food you prepared.
“whatever you say, doll.” baji smirked before digging into his own.
“let me take you home after school.” you rolled his eyes at his words but a small flutter went off in your chest.
“no, you’d drop me.”
“then better make sure to hold on tight.” he winked at you as you averted his gaze. “if you drop me, i’ll dropkick your sorry ass.”
“well then, better hold on to me tight, yeah?” “shut up, baji.” you deadpanned, but baji could see the small blush despite your fierce glare.
mikey:
“(n/n)-chin! it’s lunch time!” you hear mikey’s obnoxious voice say from outside your classroom.
“why the hell are you here, sano?” you say, eyes glaring at the way his onyx orbs beamed at yours.
“ken-chin said he was going to emma’s classroom, but there was someone annoying that i didn’t want to see.” he replied obliviously, smiling as he tugged the chair in front of you and faced it towards your table and sat down on it.
“that makes two of us.” you muttered. mikey tucked his chin on top of his arms that were crossed on the chair, a small smile on his face as he awaited your next move.
“what do you have for lunch today, (n/n)-chin.” “will you stop calling me that? you’re annoying.” mikey only tutted playfully.
“your frown will make you have wrinkles soon, (n/n).” he said before reaching towards your cheeks and poking it.
“sano, stop.” “call me mikey first” he cheekily replied, knowing that he was getting on your nerves but oblivious to the way your heart stuttered. you rolled your eyes before placing a yellow clothed bento that you took from your bag.
“here, go away.”
“wah~ (y/n)-chin, did you make this for me?” mikey grinned at your flustered face as you glared at the faux-blonde in front of you.
“shut up.” you muttered as mikey continued to tease you.
“i only made it because you wouldn’t stop taking my food.” you continued, stabbing into your own bento. you looked to the side seeing mikey look at you with a smile on his face, his cheeks puffed out and stray grains of rice scattered on his face.
“what the hell? are you a child?” you asked rhetorically, not expecting a response but of course, this was mikey. you hear a few gargled noises as if he was trying to dignify you with a response but it only made you cringe.
you sighed before taking a piece of tissue paper and shoving it on his mouth.
“you’re not a child anymore. seriously, how do you survive without draken?”
“i have you to take care of me, don’t i?” mikey asked, a small smile on his face. you glared at him, huffing before looking away.
“you don’t leave me alone, idiot.” you hear mikey laugh before scooting his chair closer to you.
“that’s because you’re cute and i want to protect you.” he says, smile growing wider as you look away with a small blush on your cheeks.
maybe he wasn’t as oblivious as you thought.
draken
you were eating with your friends as lunch time passed by, you barely got out of interrogation from them as you ran a bit late by the lunch table. you practically ran back to your classroom after slipping the bento you made for draken.
now, you were half-heartedly listening to your friends as they gossiped about your two teachers who seemed to be getting a lot closer than ever. usually, you would dive head first into this drama and share theories of his own but you couldn’t help but overthink about the blue bento you left at his desk.
but it seemed you didn’t need to think about his reaction because you heard his deep voice call out for you in your classroom.
your friends whispered amongst themselves as you looked at him with an unimpressed brow. draken just motioned you to come forward and as much as you hated to admit, you found the gesture hot.
“what do you want, draken?” you said in a monotone voice. the aforementioned only smirked before holding out the now empty bento you previously placed in his desk. you cocked your head to the side, as if to say ‘and?’
“i know you placed it on my desk, (y/n).” he said with a smirk. you stared right back at him with an emotionless look, as if you weren’t affected but inside, you were freaking out. your hands slowly clenched the side of your bottoms as you looked away.
“you wish.” you say, trying to keep your voice stable. you couldn’t see the way draken’s smirk widens before he unfolded the furoshiki, revealing your initials engraved on the cloth.
how dumb.
“that could be anyone, i’m not the only one with those initials, you know.” you say before smirking at him.
“i bet you wish it was me, though.” you cooly reply, trying to catch him off guard.
only to have your bravado thrown at your face as he replied.
“yeah, i do.”
“you idiot! what the hell are you talking about.” you say, face heating up as his smirk widens.
“you can’t lie to me (y/n), i’ve seen you use this exact same cloth before.” draken said before taking a step near you, bowing his body down a bit to meet you eye to eye.
“i enjoyed the meal, (y/n). send my compliments to the chef.” you huffed at his words, but your heart warmed up with his compliment.
“how about you shut the hell up.” you say before moving away from him. he smirked before patting your head.
“maybe if you give up and tell me the truth, i’d send you the compliments myself.” draken finished as he stood up to his height and patted your head once before walking away.
“well, i’ll be off.”
as he left you alone, all he could think about was how he was going to ask for help from the girls in the brothel. you’re not the only one who can catch people off guard.
kazutora
kazutora stared dumbly at the bento box you were presenting to him. he didn’t understand. he could’ve sworn you were cursing him the past week, but then again he noticed the stares you’ve given him since he got back from juvie.
“i don’t understand what’s happening.” kazutora said, tilting his head to the side as his earring jingled due to the movement.
“i said i made this for you. do your ears not work?” you say, huffing as you shook the bento lightly to shift his attention to it.
“just take it and i’ll get going!” you continued, shoving it to his chest before turning around.
“you confuse me.” kazutora spoke up, stopping you in your tracks.
“maybe you just can’t think properly.” you snorted in response, knowing that being hostile towards kazutora was something that you’re used to and you’re sure that he was too.
“you know…” kazutora trailed off from behind you, before your back was suddenly pushed to the wall.
“i had to ask baji once what it meant when someone kept arguing with you for the dumbest reasons…” kazutora started, his golden eyes peering into yours. “you want to know what he said?” you scoffed but nodded nonetheless, he was so close he could probably hear your heartbeat.
“baji said you liked me.” you pushed him off.
“you’re ridiculous!” you huffed, before shoving him once more. “you’re an idiot!” kazutora wanted to doubt what baji told him, but the way you were behaving made him believe his best friend’s words.
with the way your arms are moving around frantically, your face flushed red, and how you can’t keep eye contact with him in this moment.
“(y/n), come on.” kazutora said, gripping both of your hands gently into his before letting the other go and pulling you along somewhere.
“h-huh? where the hell are you taking me?”
“someone cute just gave me their bento, do you wanna share it with me?” he teased, your face burned but you didn’t say anything.
“oh, and since you didn’t deny it.” kazutora faced you once he found a spot to eat on,
“i like you as well. so stop fighting me for no reason?”
