iMac update

About a month ago, I bought two mid 2009 iMacs at Value Village for only $30 each. They both ran Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.3, but I decided to install BootCamp so they could run Windows 7; because I wanted to play some games on them.

Some of the games couldn't run because they both only had 4 GB of ram and 256 MB video cards. (Specifically being the ATI Radeon HD 4670 and Nvdia GeForce 9400M) However, I did manage to run CS:GO, Minecraft, Half Life 2, and Halo CE because they all met the system requirements. I was expecting similar performance to a PS3, so I put them on graphics settings that equate to the settings on the PS3, but they got even worse performance. (Except Halo)

CSGO on low settings:

Average FPS: 43 (50 on the 27)

Highest FPS: 66 (around the same on the 27)

Lowest FPS: 7 (same on the 27)

Minecraft on Fancy Graphics, and 16 render distance:

Average FPS: 55 (69 on the 27)

Highest FPS: 143 (153 on the 27)

Lowest FPS: 1 (same on the 27)

Half Life 2 on medium-high settings:

Average FPS: 49 (60 on the 27)

Highest FPS: 104 (112 on the 27)

Lowest FPS: 14 (19 on the 27)

Halo CE on Max settings:

Average FPS: 83 (95 on the 27)

Highest FPS: 147 (180 on the 27)

Lowest FPS: 9 (6 on the 27)

Note: I'm planning on upgrading both of them with brand new 120 GB SSDs and 16 GB of RAM to improve performance.
