The sun began to set. It was an obscure time to request Kenta be ready for him to pick up, but everything had to be perfect.
Lucas had filled up his car with a full tank of gas, not that it was even close to being half empty. After that, he went to the car wash and paid for the most expensive cleaning–the interior and exterior were spotless, the windows were almost invisible, and the wheels shined like silver. He was so nervous, and he knew exactly why.
“Hey,” he said softly, Kenta stepping into his car. He backed out of his spot and straight out of the parking lot. “Hope work hasn’t been too busy for you.”
He honestly had no idea what to say. This was never a problem before. It was always so easy for him to talk to Kenta, but today, something kept him from being as open as he is, and he knew exactly why he was being like this. He took a deep breath upon reaching a stop sign, and turned left into the ferry harbor. He hoped Kenta would like where they were going. He can’t have been the only one that felt something.
“It’s been stressful,” Kenta said softly, his hands fiddling with the seam of his hoodie. “Took us 71 takes to film a ten second scene the other day.” He rolled his eyes. Everything was a mess in his life. Everything was in shambles. Everything except Lucas.
There were butterflies in Kenta’s stomach. Maybe this was what it felt like to fall for someone who made you feel like you meant something. But he didn’t want to get his hopes up. After all, for all he knew, Lucas was taking him somewhere else to experiment and try new things. “You’re not gonna go all Fifty Shades of Grey on me tonight, are you?”
It was like word vomit. Everything that came to his head just came straight out. Like a leaky faucet; no matter how hard you try to stop the water from dripping, it just keeps falling and falling. Sooner or later, the water bill comes and your eyes widen when you see how much money such a simple thing can add up to.
But money was one thing. Kenta could always just work and earn more money to pay for his water bill. Saying shit like that, comparing Lucas to Christian Grey, that was some other world shit that he was just not going to get off by so easily. “I mean...oh my god, forget I said that.”

soonyoung-pws
Soonyoung trembled and winced as the staff yelled. He hated yelling, it turned him into a five year old usually, and he knew it was because of him. He played with the ends of his thick sweater sleeves, looking at them as they rolled over his fingers. “I-I’m sorry,” he said, his eyes welling with tears. Everything was just crumbling in his hands.
He wiped the sad tears from his face with the back of the sweater, biting his lip worriedly. He hadn’t been taking the whole Kenta mess well. Honestly, after the first night and the ignored messages he just wanted to get wasted. He wanted to forget he was in fucking love with his best friend and, basically, what the other’s actions told him was he didn’t feel the same.
Great, okay, he could probably deal with that eventually. But simply not knowing, not hearing from him and being ignored completely was taking a toll on his soul. He looked up, sadness still glinting in his eyes but something more was behind them. He grabbed Kenta’s wrist and jerked him toward their shared trailer, feeling more and more pissed off with each step he took. He slammed the door open, tearing off his clothes (okay, that probably seemed very suggestive) and put on a pair of shorts and a thin white t-shirt. He turned around to Kenta, his eyes fiery with newfound anger. “Why are you just ignoring me?! Am I just.. am I that easily to throw away?!”
Kenta grabbed his earphones from the table and stuck them into both ears while he waited for everyone to get themselves together. He wasn’t hungry, or at least, he wasn’t hungry anymore. Their scene had been taking so painfully long that it got to the point where his hunger just disappeared. He wished everything that happened between him and Soonyoung could just disappear as easily as that.
He closed his eyes, and before he knew it, he was being pulled out of the studio and into the cluster of trailers. He looked at the male in front of him; it was Soonyoung. It was at times like this that he wished he never offered his trailer to another cast member.
Kenta turned away, picking through the box of snacks they had on a table. His earphones were still in, Lana Del Rey’s moody voice blasting loud enough into his ears that he couldn’t hear anything that was happening around him. He was at peace listening to a beautiful voice sing about how depressing her life was. Perhaps because everything that had to do with Soonyoung caused him so much pain after everything happened.
If Soonyoung was trying to speak to him, he couldn’t hear. He tried his hardest not to care if he was even talking. He let out a loud sigh, but it didn’t work.

yes or no ★ kenta & lucas
Kenta pulled on a light hoodie and his favorite pair of ripped jeans, making sure his hair was presentable before stepping out of his house. He was nervous, but more excited. He’d been waiting a while for this day to come, and the anticipation was killing him. He hadn’t spoke with Lucas since a few nights ago, and now he was trusting him to take him out to God-knows-where. But that was the difference between Lucas and all the others that he’d been with. He trusted him. He looked forward to their time together.
He walked slowly on the harbor’s wooden walkway, pulling out a pack of breath mints and tossing a few pieces into his mouth. The sun was beginning to set slowly behind him, and he saw his nervous shadow getting taller and taller in front of him. Get it together, Kenta. He took a deep breath and flanked to his right, sticking his hands in his pockets. Within a few steps, he was in the parking lot, making his was to a familiar vehicle, opening the door and taking a seat.
This is the millionth time you’re seeing him, damn it. But this time was different. He had a feeling something was going to happen. He had a feeling that after tonight, things weren’t going to be the same.

take 71 ★ kenta & soonyoung
“Take five...a-fucking-gain!”
It was the middle of summer, yet they were already filming a generic Christmas episode for Flower Cafe, the second to last episode of season 2 or something. Kenta took a seat on his chair and chugged down the rest of his water. To say he was tired was an understatement. But it wasn’t because of the several takes that it was taking to get the scene correct. It was something else. It wasn’t the overly dramatic winter sweater he had to wear underneath an already heavy cafe apron--it was what had happened a few days before.
Kenta was ready to forget everything that happened--in fact, he wanted to go on as if nothing happened at all. But it was impossible to live life just the way he had been living it when the person he shared it with probably could never think the same way as he did.
He pulled out his phone out of his bag and texted Lucas to check up on him. With his luck, he’d be in the middle of filming something too. He let out a deep sigh and covered his eyes. He had never seen the director this angry before, and it was stressing him out.
“You know what, we’re already fucking behind, everybody just go take a fucking lunch! Meet back here in an hour if you’re finally ready to fucking work.”

soonyoung-pws
Soonyoung rolled his eyes. “A little bit of people food won’t hurt him at all,” he said softly, looking at his knee that Kenta had slapped with a far off look. Kenta hadn’t hurt him, Soonyoung was surprised at that. Ever since his injury back in high school, the one that rendered him unable to pursue his dream of being a dancer, his knee was easy to hurt. Kenta’s slap wasn’t hard enough to do anything, it was a joking slap, but it got him into a far off daze.
He shook his head once he realized Kenta was talking again. “Okay,” he said gently, “though I’ll try not to…” He looked at his best friend before finishing up his plate of food. He was feeling like a kicked dog, for some reason. Sudden memories brought out insecurities and made him burrow further into his hoodie.
He flipped his hood up after throwing his trash away and leaned against the sofa. He folded his arms across his stomach, looking at his best friend with curious, but sad eyes. He hoped he could make it on his own. He wasn’t good at being by himself; the only thing he was good at in that regard was taking care of Hero. He wasn’t sure if he was ready, but he had to be. He knew he’d hate tonight– when he had to retire to his cold, lonely apartment. “I guess we should get going soon?” he sighed.
If Kenta was sad that he was leaving Soonyoung, he tried his hardest not to show it. He did his best to seem colder than usual, making his words pierce deeper than they usually would. He really shouldn’t be one to talk, in the first place. He was the one who gave Hero people food all the time. He was the one who broke his controller first.
At the first sight of change, Kenta welcomed it. He had the opportunity to enter a wonderful life, and that life wouldn’t have been as great as it was without Soonyoung there beside him.
“Damn, you really want to get rid of me, huh?” He joked, finishing up his food. He was all ready to go, just needing to bring a few things to his car before giving the front desk their keys and the spares and doing all the necessary paperwork to leave their unit behind.
Kenta knew that this change was bittersweet, but he didn’t know if it was more bitter or if it was more sweet. As amazing it was for him to finally have his own place, he would lose everything that made the apartment home. But with that, they both got amazing roles on an up and coming teen drama. They would still see each other. But now, it was time to say goodbye.

“I mean I would have left months ago, but I was worried about the dog.” He joked, downing a large bite of his meal with little to no water. “Like how you do stuff like that!” He slapped Soonyoung’s knee. “Stop feeding him human food, for the billionth time!” He rolled his eyes and continued to eat, glaring at him as he shoved barbecue down his mouth.
“You’ll probably still break my controller during our breaks in the trailer.” The two would always spend more than their allotted break times during filming to play video games. Of course, no matter how much they got in trouble, they still continued to do it.
There really was nothing that could replace what he had with Soonyoung. He was more than a friend, more than a brother, more than a companion. He was everything Kenta ever had. No one could replace him. Kenta knew that eventually, he would feel the emptiness without Soonyoung causing havoc in his new home. But nothing could fill the emptiness he already felt now. The feeling of nothingness, it would always be there. He could learn how to cope with it as much as he could, but in the end, there will always be a part of him that he can never have, because it was taken from him at such a young age.
three’s a crowd | kenta & soonyoung [past]
Soonyoung sighed as he got comfortable, looking at his friend with tired eyes. “You’re mean,” he whined, shoving his mouthful of noodles. “Besides,” he said as he chewed, “if you didn’t like me so much you would’ve left months ago.” He licked the sauce off his lips and fed Hero, who was looking at him with his tired, wide eyes, a piece of his chicken. he scratched his head affectionately.
Soonyoung ate a bit more and smiled at Kenta. “At least you won’t have to worry about me breaking your controller anymore,” he said, his voice melancholy. He looked down at his takeout plate and sighed, shaking his head before continuing to shovel food in his mouth.
He’d miss Kenta, if it wasn’t evident enough. He’d miss waking up and making a whole pot of coffee for them, sometimes putting too little water and too much coffee grounds because he was too sleepy. He’d miss taking Hero out on a walk with him, laughing at drunk people still staggering around from the night before, or watching Hero try to desperately catch a squirrel running up a tree. It wasn’t like he was moving far away, like Kenta had said, but it wouldn’t be the same. Though, now that he thought about it, perhaps it wasn’t Soonyoung at all. Something had been bothering his best friend for a while now, and Soonyoung wouldn’t press the matter because he’d tell him eventually… at least he hoped so.

Kenta watched his phone vibrate several times in front of him, the sound of his pseudo-metal case clanging against his glass coffee table. He stared at it for several moments, just wiggling on the table, pausing for a second, then vibrating several times once more. ‘She needs to take a nap,’ he thought, picking up his mobile device.
He would probably do it anyways. It would be a fun little project, and it would be nice to have something else to think about other than memorizing lines for season 3 of Flower Cafe. As much as he loved the show for bringing him out of his small role from when he first started, he really wanted to branch out into something else. Maybe Chaeyoung could help him with that.
kenta: what is a gnash kenta: if we do disney we can’t do high school musical tho omg kenta: i was casted as ryan in my winter musical im not doing that again
If Kenta had to sing Bop to the Top again he would probably lose it. He had heard some of Chaeyoung’s stuff before, and he loved how her voice sounded when she sang ballads. It had such a unique tone, it was sweet yet powerful at the same time. His own voice was definitely not as versatile as Chaeyoung’s.
But if he could pull off a Lucas Grabeel, he could pull off anything. Maybe he would even pretend to know how to rap for this.
two makes it better  { rosé + kenta }
Chaeyoung had to wait. And she does not particularly enjoy it, for she is impatient, and as she does she hopes Kenta could hear the wheels in her head spins and the strings of curses and pleadings she sends in telepathy from her flat. So she pet her dog. She made another cup of tea. And when she’s back with no news messages, she scowls.
She was about to send another dont ignore meeeeee message when her phone dings. The vague reply from the actor makes her smile, and the late not that i’m saying yes makes her roll her eyes. “Always the chic,” she murmurs as she types.
rosé: bcs i have little to no friends rosé: so take pity and say yes rosé: but lol no i chose u bcs urvoice: tHE BOMB rosé: i mean boy have u heard urself sing rosé: bcs when i do i let out the longest yOOOOOOOOOOOOOO everever ever rosé: sO ARE U SAYING YES
She quickly opens her laptop, scrolling through the screencaptures of the requests that she compiled. Most of them are the more popular ones, the easy Top 40s, but judging by the memory of her coworker nailing Lana del Rey’s song, he might not up to that. Chaeyoung ponders for awhile before typing another reply.
rosé: i mean theres like a lot of songs rosé: one of the most requested is gnash  rosé: bUT YOUR VOICE IS GREAT FOR LIKE, DISNEY SONGS TOO WE CAN DO A LOT rosé: CHOICES ARE LIMITLESS

It seemed like only seconds. Kenta wanted it to last longer than it did, but no matter how much time they had together, it would always feel like a rush. He laid there, his clothes scattered all over the floor. It was cold, but Lucas’s touch was warm. He felt so at home, but even then, Lucas was still practically a stranger.
“I should go,” he said under his breath, rolling out of the younger’s bed. He scanned the floor, barely able to see anything in the dark, before grabbing what he thinks is his underwear and slipping them on. He found his jeans right next to them and stepped into the living room to find his shirt before even bothering to pull them on. “When should I come over next? We’re taking a break from filming next week.”
Kenta didn’t want to wait until next week. He didn’t want to leave. He wanted to stay by Lucas’s side. He wanted Lucas to hold him like he does when they’re having sex. He wanted everything. But he couldn’t have any of it. He had forgotten everything that happened, and it was all because of Lucas.
Lucas has erased every negative feeling he had and replaced it with something else. For once, Kenta felt like someone wanted him for more than just his body, more than just his friendship. Lucas made him feel like his love was wanted, and that someone loved him back.
But it was probably too good to be true.

Soonyoung looked at Kenta and pouted, his cheeks puffed up as he slammed against the pillows of the couch. “You love me~” he sang, sitting up and looking as his puppy walked to Kenta. He smiled, like a proud father, loving that his little dog was taking to his best friend so well.
The male pouted again at Kenta’s words. “I didn’t mean to hurt him and you know it,” he whined, getting off the couch. He pushed Kenta’s head playfully as he grabbed a small bag with Hero’s things in it, taking his blanket out and spreading it on him. He kissed his little forehead and scratched his ears.
Their was a knock on their door and he rushed to it before Hero went crazy, grabbing all the bags and tipping their driver. He sat down beside the pillow, in front of Kenta, unboxing all of their food and nudging the boy with his knee. He looked at Kenta and smiled. “To our last meal here?”
Kenta sat on the ground admiring Hero while Soonyoung grabbed the door. He always wanted to get a dog of his own, and although he was basically Hero’s uncle, he wanted an actual dog for himself. But with everything going on, moving and all that he’s been hiding from Soonyoung and getting used to the limelight, he couldn’t get a dog now.
“Don’t knee me,” He said softly, careful not to wake the half asleep puppy in front of him. “First you abuse this little angel, and now you’re gonna abuse me?” He rolled his eyes jokingly and grabbed a box of food all to himself. “How did I get stuck with such a mean person like you?”
It would be a difficult transition from living with Soonyoung and an over energetic puppy to living on his own. There would no longer be random hours of the night that Hero would wake him or Soonyoung, no more Soonyoung accidentally breaking things...there would be no more Soonyoung. But perhaps this break from him would allow him to coalesce his thoughts and feelings to the point where he could tell him what was really going on.

Kenta tightened his grip around Lucas’s neck. He didn’t want to let go, even if this was just an agreement. He wanted it to be more than just that. Everything he was feeling about Soonyoung and what happened between them was all gone, and all there was right now was him and Lucas. He felt so dead inside the whole day until now--it felt like his day was just beginning.
Kenta let Lucas have all control of his body, but he felt like he had all the control. For the first time in his life, he was giving his body to someone that made him feel like he was more than just an object. He savored every little second of the moment, but everything felt so fast. An hour had already passed, yet it felt like seconds. He didn’t want this to end.

soonyoung-pws
“Way to make me feel better,” Soonyoung wailed, flopping onto the couch. His head landed on Kenta’s lap, the place he was aiming for. He heard his puppy growl at something in the next room and knew he was okay, so the crocodile tears stopped as he peered up at his best friend.
He always got like this for some reason, staring and admiring how Kenta smiled, or how his eyes turned upwards when he was happy, or when he was upset they sparkled with some deep, profound sadness that even he wouldn’t understand. Yes, he always stared at his best friend– but it was never this blatantly obvious. He didn’t even notice how he was counting each eyelash until he got to thirteen. He didn’t even blush, didn’t even move, he just kept counting.
“Hey, Kenta… you’ll always be my best friend,” he said with a smile. “No matter how far you move away, you can’t get away from me. Got it?” His smile got wider once he realized what exactly he was saying and how cheesy it sounded. Kenta made him happy, and maybe he was finally realizing that.
Kenta rolled his eyes and put his hand over Soonyoung’s mouth. “That’s it, you need to stop ordering cheese on your burgers and pizza...Actually, don’t even order Pizza anymore.” He joked, scouting the hallway to see if Hero was on his way back. He loved the little pup, and he was gonna miss how happy and energetic he always was. “You also need to stop abusing your dog like that, tsk tsk.”
Kenta stood up, not bothering to warn Soonyoung, and let is head fall back onto the couch. He sat cross legged on the ground just in time for Hero to run into his lap and curl up into a ball. “Is it sleepy time, Hero?” stroked the dog’s back gently, looking over at Soonyoung from the corner of his eye.
“Look, now he’s gonna cry himself to sleep. I can’t believe you’d kick him onto the ground like that.” He pulled a (sorry excuse for a) pillow off the couch and put it on the ground in front of him, placing Hero on top of it, the afternoon sun shining through the window and reflecting on his icy fur. “Did you already pack his blanket? He’s still young enough that you should be covering him when he sleeps.”

A ring of water decorated the table from the iced coffee Kenta ordered in the morning. Today, his scheduled meeting with his agent took so long, he didn’t even get to start drinking his coffee. In a stroke of luck, her office had flooded and she had to bring the meeting over to his house. It was comfortable for him, but unfortunate for her, but the plans they discussed would benefit the both of them.
After finally devouring half of his coffee in one sip, Kenta pulled his phone out to six messaged from his co-star. He would have never been in this position if she didn’t catch him singing along to the new Lana Del Rey track in his trailer. Maybe this could be good for him; he could have a thriving acting career while slowly trickling into the field of music.
kenta: sorry, i was with my agent kenta: why does it have to be me tho kenta: wait what song lol
Kenta put his phone on the table, next to the ring of water, and stepped into his kitchen, coffee in hand. All the ice had melted and the once decadent mocha flavor had now been watered down to nothing. He sighed, taking one last sip in an attempt to collect as much caffeine into his body before pouring it down the sink.
What if she thinks that’s a yes! He thought, and ran back to his phone.
kenta: not that i’m saying yes lol

The idea to start a Soundcloud account came to Chaeyoung, well, out of the blue.
It was simple—she likes to sing, and though she likes her face (though if everyone asks, she will aggressively deny it), she likes her voice more. She still does not have her own proper setup, but she has her own mic and people from her agency are willing to help manage the mixing that she still hasn’t grasp the whole idea of.She has a crowd of followers, being an actress, and the increase of the number comes with various requests.
Lately her followers have been religiously asking her to cover a duet song, one that was popular around a year ago. She had messaged the person that had passed her mind as her first choice to cover it with, but she hasn’t heard from him.
rosé: see, they dont put up any names rosé: they leave the choice up TO ME rosé: so help me pls plspl s rosé: will u will u willu

She scowls. As expected, she thinks.

Kenta closed his eyes and whimpered at Lucas’s touch. He covered his face, not wanting the other male to see the mix of pleasure and vulnerability he felt. There was no going back now. There was a level of emotion that he and Lucas were both exhibiting tonight that neither of them had ever expressed before. Kenta was worried, but he knew he shouldn’t be.
Kenta looked down at Lucas and bit his lip. He gasped for air as he laced his fingers through his hair, guiding his head up to his face and pulling him in for a kiss. He wrapped his legs around the taller’s waist and nodded, signalling that he was ready for whatever he wanted to do next. At this point, Kenta knew he was fucked. He knew there were feelings involved.

Kenta wrapped his arms around Lucas’s neck and turned their bodies so he was no longer the one pinned to the wall. He placed a deep kiss onto the taller male’s lips, fingers hanging off Lucas’s jeans. Kenta left a trail of kisses down Lucas’s neck, making his way to the younger’s nipples, biting them softly.
Despite having these meetings for a while now, Kenta never felt comfortable taking the lead until now. He had always let Lucas do everything exactly how he wanted to do it, but tonight, Kenta was looking for something else. He wanted to forget everything and create something else in the process. He was scared, but more so, he had nothing to lose. He probably lost his best friend. He couldn’t lose Lucas because they weren’t anything to begin with.
Kenta left a trail of kisses down the male’s abdomen until he reached the button of Lucas’s jeans. He looked up at the younger male’s eyes before undoing the button and zipper. He pulled Lucas’s jeans and underwear down, almost surprised at his endowments despite seeing them many times before. He closed his eyes before grabbing Lucas’s member softly and placing the tip on his tongue, and into his mouth.

soonyoung-pws
Soonyoung nodded, looking at his small, white puppy as he mulled over what to do. Come on, Soonyoung, stop being such a wet blanket, he thought, knowing he should lighten the mood but how? He stood up suddenly, accidentally knocking his dog to the floor. The pup let out a yelp and ran toward Kenta’s feet.
Soonyoung screamed in horror, literally, and rushed toward the dog. Tears were in his eyes as he picked it up, assessing him for damages while streaming out apologies to him. “I’m the worse dog father ever!” he cried, holding the puppy close as he sobbed into his fur. His tears weren’t like normal tears, it was quite comical really. He looked at Kenta, his eyes still watery and red.
“Look, I hurt my puppy,” he sobbed. “I can’t live without you! He’ll be dead within the week! No, no, I’ll be dead within the week!” he cried, leaning his forehead against Kenta’s shoulder and holding the dog close to his chest. The puppy wasn’t hurt, he was just scared and maybe a little winded, but now he was freaked out. He’d have to get used to such an overdramatic owner.
Kenta put his phone on the counter and grabbed Hero from Soonyoung’s arms, walking away to look out the window. “Did that mean, mean man hurt you, Hero?” He jokingly asked the pure, white husky with his toothy smile. This was probably the best way to change the subject. He would miss Hero when he left. “Maybe you should come with uncle Kenta! I would never hurt you.”
He scratched behind the dog’s ears, still looking out the window. He told himself he would get a dog when he came to begin a new life in the Sunset Archipelago. Though he loved Hero and was ecstatic when Soonyoung brought him home, he would never admit that. After all, it was difficult to care for an animal with the schedule he had, and even though he and Soonyoung were both taking care of him, them being on the same show meant similar work schedules.
Kenta let the dog down on the ground and watched him scurry off, probably to scratch and chew on something they forgot to pack. He turned back to Soonyoung and smiled. “You won’t be dead within the week.” He said. “I give you about eight days...tops!” He laughed jokingly before hopping onto the couch.

lucaswong-pws
This was his life, going to work for several hours every day, coming home, watching tv maybe. Lucas didn’t really have much to look forward to other than the big paycheck that came to him every two weeks. But sometimes, he had something else to look forward to. Kenta was was a good time. Not just of their secret arrangements, but because he actually genuinely enjoyed Kenta’s company. Even when he hung out with his best friend, it wasn’t like how he felt when he spent time with Kenta.
Maybe it was his positive aura–not that Kenta was always a raging ball of sunshine like that best friend of his, Soonyoung or something, but he knew how to change the mood. Maybe this would eventually turn into a friendship. Lucas wanted more than that. He wanted Kenta to be able to do what even his best friend can’t–call him by his real name.
It was an annoying cliche, the sex-only relationship turning into something more. But the difference is, those usually started off with the two being friends. In his case, this started of as business until eventually, Kenta asked him to stop the monetary aspect of things. Maybe Kenta enjoyed his company too, especially with the way he was looking at him tonight.
The next thing he knew, he was on the couch, pulling Kenta onto his lap. Kenta wasn’t a conquest, he wasn’t a prize. He was someone that everyone could dream for, but nobody deserved.
Kenta closed his eyes and crashed his lips onto the taller male. His lips had always been the softest. For some reason, Lucas was different from everyone else. Not in the way that he pretended to be some nice guy that wanted more than just a good session, but every time he had a meeting with Lucas, he always came out feeling good. With everyone else, it was the usual bend over and let him use you.
Not that he was complaining, he was getting some good money on the side on top of the large sums Palmwood was paying him for his roles on TV. But everything was much better when you got something in return. Perhaps this is why he never felt that he was in control of his own body until he began seeing Lucas. There was something else there other than the sensation of skin violently slapping skin. It was almost intimate, in a way, from the very beginning.
Kenta left wet kisses on Lucas’s neck. These days, it was definitely more intimate. He knew there was something else there other than just the sex. He hated cliches, but he knew there was something there the moment he let Lucas in his own home for a meeting. He couldn’t even let Soonyoung visit him for weeks after that because he knew he couldn’t hide something like this from his best friend.
Sooner or later, Kenta would have to come clean. Whether it was Soonyoung catching them in his house, or even his his damn trailer. He would find out sooner or later. But until then, Kenta wanted to savor this moment, not only to forget what happened the night before, but because Lucas made him feel like a human being. When he was with him, he didn’t feel like he was just some animal being used for someone else’s pleasure.

Soonyoung absently played with the frayed ends of the couch, debating on saying what was on his mind. He hardly kept things from Kenta, but there were the small insecurities that wouldn’t tell him the whole story. “I mean, I know,” he said finally as his pup jumped on the couch and laid his head on his lap, “but… this place is the first place that’s… well, felt like home since mom died,” he said, biting at his bottom lip. “I guess that’s… why I’m just attached to it, and to you… it’s more than me being over-dramatic this time.”
Soonyoung finally looked up, toward Kenta’s direction but not exactly. He could rarely look other people in the eye, it was hard for him. He was scared to see rejection, or hurt or anger in them. His mother had raised him to hold respect for others, look them in the eye when they talk, but ever since his ex-boyfriend he couldn’t… he always acted like an abused dog when having serious discussions. Like he had said something wrong and deserved to be punished.
“Sorry… was that too much?” he laughed awkwardly. “It’s just… I dunno, moving away from this place… from you, it’s hard. I mean… you’re basically the only family I have, you know?” he said softly. “I hope you… know that,” he said softly, looking down at his lap again. He didn’t like the serious atmosphere that had came about; he needed to brighten the mood– or get it away from his feelings, quick. He cleared his throat. “Uh, anyways. did you order the food?”
Kenta sighed. He hated getting serious with Soonyoung. He hated it whenever his best friend showed anything other than the bright smile on his face. No matter how cliche it was, Soonyoung was the best thing to ever happen to him. He could say that landing roles on TV helped him a lot in furthering his life, but Soonyoung was his anchor. He was the only one that was ever there for him. Even his friends back at home were nothing like Soonyoung. Even the ones he’d known since he was a young child; none of them could compare to the kind of person Soonyoung was.
Kenta wishes he had the guts to tell Soonyoung about everything that was causing him pain--his father, the guys from Lost Till the Night is Over, just everything that made him feel like he was less than he really was. If it wasn’t his dehumanizing father, it was the fact that even when he sold his body, he still felt like he couldn’t control his own body. That was the main reason he did what he did. He could never tell Soonyoung that.
“Yeah, I got some stuff from that barbecue place by the bowling alley.” He said, clearing his throat. This wasn’t easy for him, but he tried his best to make it look like it was. If Soonyoung knew how much he was hurting, he wouldn’t see the end of it. It was best he didn’t show him any of the negative emotions he was feeling. He just hoped he wouldn’t take it the wrong way.
