Blog 12 Ending

This is the last blog of the entire semester. After all hardworks and other things that we did, we are happy that the final pitching was successful. We are nervous that time, then after we pitch all the nervous was gone because all the comments of the judges are very wonderful. As days go by, i would like to thank our instructor maam dalde for guiding us to what would we do. Maam thank you for everything from the start you guide us even you are busy. Also i would like to thank to Sir bronzon for introducing technopreneurship to us. It has make our lives upgraded. He told us never to argue with other people because those people soon become our co-worker, make investment to them. Thank you technopreneurship for the knowledge you gave us. Good bye :)

So thats it, time is running. This week we had a meeting where we plan to make a pitch deck and eventually we managed it and partially finished it. We have ongoing design on our product and estimating the cost of it. The actual achievement is done but we need to focus furthermore so that it is easy for us to discuss the project. We make a mini floating pavers made of styro so that we can compare the behavior of the floating device and to have a good and great design that would fit the neccessary requirement for the floating pavers. We gather information on what would be the materials and the transactions for the plan to make it more relevant and more important for the people that would invest to us.

After we decided to change the topic, we did not discuss yet or had a meeting with this new plan. Because we are searching for possible dissadvantage and gather them when we meet. On this week we decided that our plan will be on floating pavers as what we told maam Dalde and approved it. So it is not common idea which is also not exist here in the philippines. Although some of the country has there own floating devices but ours is being innovated. The idea would be eco-friendly materials like recylcled plastics. This week we made also the BCM which is the activity given to us. We had very good implementing ideas throught what is asked to us. And the actual photo eventually is uploaded by one of our member but suddenly I cant find his blog thats why I didn;t put the picture on this blog. The product of ours was not validated yet but we are making moves to a step which could bring us to destiny, hopefully the product will be validated and would be acceptable for the investors and peoples.

After pitching activity we realize that skyways is way too difficult for our level. Sky way is a nice idea to eliminate or reduce traffic but we only have few time to finish the plan. It is very big things to do through to finish it on time. So we decided to change the topic. We come up to an idea of changing our plan. We brainstormed to make another solution for a different problem. All four of us agree to change our plan. Our problem now is we still haven’t have a new idea. We are still thinking on what will be our new innovation that will able to solve some common problems in the way of engineering program. The last lecture this week will also be helpful since we were able to learn new information about entrepreneurship. Our instructor gives us information on how to convince our client and to get their trust. And to sell it easily and to have a profitable product. Then maybe next week the activity that will be given to us hopefully will give us ideas and more information about the new idea that would properly come up for us this week.

Blog8 pitching

On this week, it is the schedule for our pitching. What we did this week before the pitching was making of our pitch deck. We made our pitching following the guide or the 10/20/30 rule. maximum of 10 slides, 20 words per slide and a 30 font size. As what is on the intruction. There are some clarifications while making our pitch deck. There are some of the datas tjat we were not able to find number one is the estimates. Since we will gonna make a skyway the cost of it is very huge. To solve the problem we ratio the estimated cost of the skyway built in manila on ours. On Wednesday was the schedule day for the pitching. A little problem we encounter was not yet so prepared since we were incomplete a few minutes before our turn to pitch and we haven’t finalized yet our parts. There are three panels and we must able to convince them about our sky way. Our presentation was smooth and i think we were able to finished it in the given time. On our turn there are only two panes. After our presentation, the panels throw questions and we were able to answered each of them. There are some suggestions that was given to us by the panels that we should consider. The suggestions of the panels were very informative and helpful and i think this will help us to our final pitching in the finals. Blog 8

Midterm

This week is a busy week for us because it is the week of our exams. This week we were tasked to make a pitch deck since our pitching will be this Saturday it has been moved. We were not able to make a pitch deck on the week because of our major subjects. But despite of that we find a time where/when we could make the pitch deck and we did it. A good news arrived, announcing that we will not be having out pitching this midterm week and probably it will be next week. We will be more prepared and will have more time to make our pitch deck presentable to the panels. We will start making our pitch deck maybe on Saturday or Sunday since our last major exams will be on Friday. We were all exhausted this week because of our major exams that we took sleepless nights to study and we think we deserve a rest. Next week for the pitching, we will be a little bit prepare since we took a little rest. The pitching will not be easy but we will do our best to finish it. Midterm

Blog 6

On thi week, sir discuss about pitching where it is like making a case for a protocol or product. This product will be intended to be sold in the public. Based on the discussion there are types of pitches 3 types of pitch. The elevator, short form and long form pitch. We will be having our pitching next week trough short form pitching as instructed to us. Short form pitching will just last for 5 minutes. We haven’t finalized yet of who will be our main pitcher to do presenting since our instructor to us to choose one or two member on the team will present Since two members were not present last lecture, they were not able to get an information about pitching so we just told them what it is all about. I think we will choose our hustler to present since he is the most confident talking in front of people. Since our idea was making a sky way. For sure it is not easy for us to handle. But we as a team trusting each other so that we can make this successful. Hopefully pitching will be finished and give us ideas for the next step we need to took. Blog 6

New Year

Last meeting last year Sir Bronson instructed that proposal will be presented first week of the new year. It was a longchristmas break but is done and we’re back to reality. We know proposal of idea is not that difficult since it was stated that presenting our solution to a problem should just be simple and presented on a simple ppt presentation. Our idea or solution to the certain problem we chose to solve was presented last week, thursday. It was simple and organized but I didn’t expect some of the questions thrown to us by our instructor. Some of the questions thrown to us made me realize that there are still some point on our ideas that we did not clearly discuss or tackled. After the proposal, a little bit happy since our proposal was approved. But there is still something that bothers me but hopefully we can finalized our ideas on how we will do the prototype. The proposal was a big help to us since it gave us some questions that we, as a team, did not realize that there are still lacking on our ideas. We thank our dear instructors for some additional information you gave to our team through your curiousity that leads to your questions. next week we hope we can start doing the prototype/sketchup of our plan. Blog 4

Before spending my Christmas break with my family, me and my group mates had met. We planned seriously on what project we are going to present. We had decided that we will make a prototype about the traffic lights or about the road problems that could give a big help in resolving the traffic jam in every places. At first it is difficult to produce this kind of project, but because of our perseverance we really tried our best to make this project possible because in the first place a lot of people are longing or really concerned about the traffic that we can encounter here in Cagayan de Oro City. Our group had decided that we should have an advertisement for our product first so that more people will know about this and can also benefit about this project. After we asked a lot pf questions to the benefactors, many of them could highly say that there are already other people who made this kind of prototype that could help resolve the road problems. Upon hearing those answers we had a brainstorming on what we should really do in order to solve this kind of problem. We had decided that we have to make our solutions more different and unique than others. Instead of making just a prototype, we have come up to a project that both public and private can benefit. Even if there are a lot of arguments that has happened, last January 10, 2019, Thursday we finally presented our proposal on building a skyways based on the interview that we made on some random people. We really make it sure that this proposal will benefit a lot of people and could help them everyday. Knowing that there are a lot of streets here in Cagayan de Oro City especially in Kauswagan, Cogon, Carmen, and Agora that’s always suffering on traffic jam that could highly cause people to waste their time. We had clarified all the things that could really cause a problem in some road congestions. Before deciding what project are you going to make or propose, you should ask first a lot of people if that project could really solve the traffic congestions. We should always listen to their concerns so that in the end we can make a better project than to others. Cooperation also with group mates will really give a big help in making a project successful and sharing ideas will also make a project possible. Because of this hardships and perseverance to achieve our goals, our adviser approved our proposal. #blog4

Blog#3

A week of fomulating questions to get ready for interviewing stranger. Me and my groupmates gathered questions connected on our protocol so that we can arrive conclusions on what the protocol could be. We are going to make a checklist in order for us to get easier final results. Although we did not start interviewing yet but atleast we have a starting procedure ready. So that for next week activity we can start interviewing strangers. We are trying to get the pain point of the persons we are going to interview so that the process of our plan or project is connected to what we are going to expect as the final result. This could help us finalize the problem of the person we interviewed. And lastly we planed where we are going to conduct a survey or an iterview. So we decided we are interviewing at the place where mostly traffic occur example there in Osmeña, and Gaisano. #blog#3

Blog# 2 Last week was a blast of brainstorming about what would be the project we want to use for technopreneurship. We and my groupmates have gathered informations. And put initial title on what will be the project protocol. Thursday afternoon after our class we decided to gather for a meeting that would bring us to comeup initial title of our project. One of our member said, we will make a protocol that could help the traffic less so that we can help our community to not just improve but a traffic free environment. After that we think how will that protocol will work or how can it help the traffic. So, that protocol is used to count the vehicles in a traffic lane to set a limit for the traffic so that it will not increase the vehicle number. This protocol will control the traffic lights to reduce the number of vehicles in traffic. Because some traffic lights only give 20 seconds of Green light which means GO. And gives 120 seconds on Red light which is STOP. Thats why it causes clogging of vehicles in a right of way. The protocol can help with this issues by counting the vehicles on the traffic lane and let balance the sickness of traffic. The second initial protocol that we decided to make is a device that will measure speed limit and if a driver will violate such actions. The protocol will send message to LTO that will mark the drivers license of the driver a record of violating speed limit by online transactions. It will help human to less the effort of using speed limit devices and manually send a report or arrest the driver. Through this initial project, i think it will help the human effort less because on the near future the technology is upgrading its features and one example is this kind of protocol were gonna invent. #blog 2

Blog#1

 Indeed, trust for one another is very important. Trust can build bridges to each of the team members. Choosing a member in a grip is quite difficult because you need to check first if that specific person is capable of doing any assigned tasks. We should check the attitude and the characteristics of the person first. The person should be well disciplined and goal oriented, he must have strong work ethic and always motivated and dedicated to get the job done no matter what.

I believe that if you are highly motivated person, you can work effectively with your group members. You should already equipped with necessary knowledge that come with position with handling a team. Choosing a group member he must have a right skills that really suits in one position like he must have a good communication skills. Interacting with other people is one of the essential part as a member of the group. A person should know how to lead a group of people and knows how to manage time even if doing multitasking.

 Having a strong teamwork will automatically leads us to a successful achievements and positive outcomes. Each one of us us should always have the same goals that we wanted to achieve at the ens of the day. As a member of the team, cooperation and putting suggestions into actions would really give a big help. Team members should allow themselves to have a voice in daily happenings or about team goals.

 Teamwork is defined by a shared commitment both tot he team’s process and members should have a clearly defined purpose or goals. Interacting with each other should always be open, each member can state their own opinions knowing that differences of opinion are valued. A team should be glued which could keep them together, a bond promotes strength, unity, reliability, and support to one another. Teamwork serves as the fuel and without it the engine will not start nor the team works.
