I wanted to share something i realized in therapy which is that everything i like actually fits together into a coherent category of good things while everything i dislike and think is bad also shares the same coherency, as if there are two superimposed worlds of good things and bad things, each fluently interconnected within its respective moral alignment, but never intersecting, such that each remains pure. for some reason only me and my friends able to discern between them but it will be okay as long as everyone instantly accepts everything i say as true. by the way i wanted to ask that no one tag this as a fictional character or public figure that they are psychosexually fascinated with as it is my unique subjective experience and very personal to me so saying it's like someone from a tv show or podcast or something attacks my basic sense of self and reality and it very often sends me into a paranoid spiral when i see these comments. Ok thanks

Let the slave grinding at the mill, run out into the field: Let him look up into the heavens & laugh in the bright air: Let the inchained soul shut up in darkness and in sighing, Whose face has never seen a smile in thirty weary years: Rise and look out, his chains are loose, his dungeon doors are open. And let his wife and children return from the opressors scourge. They look behind at every step & believe it is a dream.
— William Blake, America a Prophecy (1793)

the last surviving referent was just discovered and humanely euthanized by field semioticians in the salt flats of utah. apparently it was what people were referring to when they'd say. well. it doesn't matter now anyways does it.

There are actually many gates that one has to pass through to get to heaven. The first filters out the evil people of the world. The next filters out homestuck fans. The one after that filters out harry potter and the methods of rationality fans. And I cheerily marched past all of these condemned souls because I was a slightly less uncool teenager. But then I came to the gate that filtered out the gamers and I said to Saint Peter, looking back at all of the damned souls, "Surely, good saint, heaven is empty enough?" And Peter simply shook his head and said "Rightly so." And I said to the good saint, "I understand that the gamers deserve it. But I am not a gamer. I simply play a few video games." And the saint smiled at me with a wry tiredness and said "Is there a difference in the eyes of the lord between a murderer and someone who murders once?" And I started to say that I had been wondering about the significance of repeated action in virtue theories for cases like this, but he held up his hand to stop me. And the good saint said "See? Even if you made it past this gate you would fail to get through the next." And I asked "Good saint, who is the next gate for? Philosophers?" He smiled his good saint smile once more and said "No. Annoying people."

One of the machines broke down at the hyperbole factory. The situation is frustrating, but ultimately manageable.

Something I found hilarious the other day was seeing one of those “I bought this before Elon Musk went insane” bumper stickers, except it wasn’t on a Tesla. It was on the most beat up 20+ year old Toyota Corolla I’ve ever seen that was missing three hubcaps and had no less than seven different dents in the rear bumper. yeah I do not doubt that you bought that one before musk went insane
