I really love this one, it may actually be my favourite of the karaoke tracks on this CD, it just has a wonderfully warm, playful quality to it like the voiced version that I really enjoy listening to. I feel a bit like you could use this as the score for a stop-motion animation and have it fit perfectly with the visuals
Yes, I know, a christmas CD & stop motion animation, you can make the Rankin Bass special joke if you want; actually it's more fitting than you think, the actual stop-motion animation work was done by a Japanese studio, a big part of why tribute events in the west have so much trouble finding original puppets from the specials is because many never left Japan

"It's Hot!" Broke Christmas!!" This one probably has the biggest divide between the voiced and karaoke version, while the voiced one has 556's usual high energy (and volume) reminiscent of an auditory roller coaster, the instrumental version has a lighter quality. It's still energetic, but in a more subtle way that really suits my tastes (^.^)

Christmas might be over, but there are still a few songs left from the CD, starting with the karaoke version of More Peach Summer Snow's song. The remaining karaoke songs are a bit more neutral, though this one does definitely have a winter feel to it either way, like it could play in the background during a scene of people walking through the city with snow falling. (^.^)

Just as I had been saving Keroly Night for yesterday, I knew this was the song I wanted to post today; it feels a little bit like everyone is having a christmas party together, doesn't it?
Even at the start, before I had gotten the idea for some of the other special events I've done, and was just posting songs more or less at random, I knew I wanted to post this album for christmas and make the Natsumi & Keroro birthday posts and held onto them almost an entire year to save them for right now. It's so exciting to finally share it (^.^)
Merry Christmas Everyone Happy New Year
And Whichever Holiday You Celebrate (-^.^-)

There was only one song that could be scheduled for today, I even timed it to be a little bit later in the day so it actually would be night when this was posted, at least in my timezone
This is without doubt the definitive Keroro christmas song, it's been here since the the first season's christmas episode 20 years ago. It's amazing to think that this song has been around that long and that there are still people who get joy from listening to it each season, there aren't many TV show tie-in christmas songs that I can think of to achieve the same
There's one more voiced song after this being posted tomorrow, but for now, enjoy your Keroly Night, Frog Be With You (-^.^-)

So...With two exceptions that I knew I wanted to post on specific dates, these releases have actually been counting down to my favourite of the remaining 4, which is today's song "Ding Dong Battlefield Cake" (ah, it sounds a bit like a video game level, doesn't it? Maybe a Kirby one....)
It may seem a bit odd with what I said yesterday about gentler christmas songs standing out amongst aggressively festive ones, but this one doesn't really feel like the latter. It's definitely high energy, but in the playfully chaotic way Keroro group numbers usually are, and the episode based off of this song, apart from being one of the first Keroro christmas episodes I watched, is just such a weird, fun premise that it always makes me smile

Today we have a lesser known Keroro & Fuyuki duet, as well as a lesser known christmas song from the show "My Friend is Santa Keros"
I really love the warm, gentle quality of this song, recently I've come up with the theory that the reason why so many people in the west become annoyed with christmas music is that a lot of what we have here is almost aggressively festive. So much of it has a tone of "Whooo! CHRISTMAAAAAAS!!!!" that can be a bit draining if you're not in that frame of mind, so the more gentle and soft christmas music stands out in a really pleasant way

This is interesting, it's not as overtly christmassy as some of the others, and only mentions christmas itself once; it actually speaks more to Japan's image of christmas as a holiday to spend with friends or your lover.
Truthfully, I wish that was more prevalent here; christmas has been soured a bit for me a few things, and it's a bit depressing that everything is closed on christmas, so I can't really go anywhere....
Anyway, enjoy another More Peach Summer Snow song, "The love incantation is 'Keroro Love'"

I feel like somebody on the production team really liked 556, and I'm simultaneously impressed that he & Lavie managed to get 2 character songs when a number of the main characters didn't even get one (not counting group numbers), and somewhat discouraged by this since I don't share that staff member's affinity. Curiously, I really enjoy the instrumental version of this song, you'll see when we get to it.

Alright! We have the last karaoke track from this CD (for now), starting tomorrow we're going to be posting the voiced versions, the order will have a bit of personal bias, but two tracks are set specifically for the 24th & 25th
Let's go!

Alright, the remainder of the Christmas CD has been qued, and we're are only a few songs over, so the more overtly Christmas-y songs will have their karaoke versions posted before counting down with the voiced tracks, then the remaining karaoke tracks, which are more neutral.
Naturally, I had to include Keroly Night in the first half of the count down; it's probably the best known of the Keroro Christmas songs, so much so that the karaoke track was released on two different CDs. No really, it was also on the 5th Pekopon Shinryaku CD, once the voiced version is posted, that will finally be wrapped up.
Either way, both versions of this song are lovely (^.^-)

We're back, more or less, I know I waited a bit late to be able to cover the whole CD; the past month and a half has been...messy
But either way, we're starting off with the karaoke version of one of my favourite songs on the album (and one that got an entire episode dedicated to it) the chaotic energy of the song is such fun (^.^)

Happy Birthday to Keroro!
You can't deny this is the perfect song to post for the occasion, both for being something he'd enjoy, and that it probably took a special occasion like his birthday to get everyone else to agree to sing this (^.^')
Since the same studio that made Gundam also made Keroro, copyright law allowed them to freely throw in all the Gundam references they wanted and use this song, so it would probably be harder to pull off in-universe than it was administratively

Despite having a few posts for people's birthdays, including my own, I've been saving this one specifically for the occasion it was written for, happy birthday to Natsumi (^.^)
Ah, it's a little curious that despite her name meaning "Summer Beauty" her birthday is early winter (and Fuyuki's is implied to be early fall...)
But now we're left with a bit of a question, though it makes sense to post this song on Natsumi's birthday since hers' is the one it was written for, what will be posted next week?
There is another version of this song without the message from Saburo, but I have another special song I've been saving for that, which also fits perfectly (•.~)

Today we have something unusual, it's a conversation about what went into the songs from the Cycling Recycle single; I wasn't really sure what to do with this since it's on the CD, but not a song, or one of the things I'd usually make a script for, so I'm just posting it directly, let me know if you're interested in having a full script or at least a summary (^.^)

Here's something special and fun, this is probably the biggest character song in terms of participants, even Aki sings in this, which I don't believe she did in any other track.
The title is roughly "Friendly meal space story", and it was one of the additional tracks on the single for Omatase Pekopon Iccho, but listening to it, I wish that it could have been used as an ending theme in its own right, it feels a bit like it could have been used as one, with them panning over stills of everyone together and perhaps the occasional animated shot in between.
At some point I want to translate it now (^.^)
