I realize the hypocrisy of me saying "I don't draw ship art often" and yet I've posted nothing but that on here for the past month but I'm gonna be real with you guys in all my 10+ years of fandom this is the most ship art I think I've ever drawn and I wish I was kidding

Being in the tf fandom is so funny bc I have the tfp moot, the g1 moot, the tf one moot, and I imagine, me, the idw moot

OC thought: Signal Echo was always known to be one of the more compassionate Wreckers of the group, and they're the best at tackling emotions out of all of them. After their ordeal with the Decepticons, though, that compassion increases tenfold because they feel like they need to make up for all the horrible things they did (although no one blames her for what happened. It's just the survivor guilt haunting her)

Additionally, with the tension between Wheeljack and Ultra Magnus and Wheeljack pushing Bulkhead away, Echo worries to death about losing the closest thing she has to a community/family in what's left of the Wreckers. It's one of the few times Echo and Wheeljack don't see eye to eye and also have a little bit of tension with one another, as Wheeljack insists on running off while Echo knows he can't keep doing this to himself (they would know from experience). Thankfully, she manages to coax him into trying to open up a little more, and Echo basically becomes Wheeljack's guide in tackling his own emotions for the first time in forever. The student becomes the teacher!

All of this is basically a long winded way of saying that, since his reunion with the Autobots, Echo feels like he has to make up for everything he did as Osprey. They feel like they have to constantly fix everything just to make up for all the hurt they've caused, even though everyone knows that was never them. It was someone else. It can cause them to become overwhelmed and stressed if they're not careful, and it's something that they're constantly battling with even after the events of TF Prime. That need to fix everything, that need to help in any way they can so they can "prove themselves further".

Bonus: people and bots often poke fun at Wheeljack cause "there's no way she got that from you!" but he fully admits it! He always claims that the compassion was purely a "Signal Echo thing"
