FRIIIIIIIIIDAAAAY.  Yay :)  Especially since it’s the end of the work day!  
I’ve been happier with my profile lately, it’s easier to pretend I don’t have a double chin or extra lower stomach weight.  While angles are everything, maybe I’m actually making some progress?  
Kevin made us some sous vide steaks the other day with tons of veggies.  Normally we toss the extra veggies because they get all mush next day but I decided to stirfry them for breakfast and it was the best decision ever.  
Also, for those of you who were interested in those garlic cheese curds I posted about, here’s a visual for ya.  Ommmmnom
Saki likes to sleep on cords.  As long as he’s not playing with them I’m okay with it.  Plus, FLUFF
Erp cuteness because I’m obsessed.  
Kevin actually wants to watch a movie with me tonight?!  He nevereverever watches things so I’m stoked.  I gave him a list of movies I’d been compiling for us to watch together and he chose “Little Shop of Horrors” :)  Can’t wait for him to see all the glory of it!

I’m officially off keto for a while
There. I said it.
I am not sure how to feel about this. It feels like kinda failing, to let all my low carb no carb keto atkins lchf whatever followers know that the lifestyle I was SO SO SO excited about is no longer the lifestyle I am living now. Why?
Because I suffer from BED. My stress levels are so f*ing high at the moment that I decided I didn’t want to binge multiple times A DAY anymore. I tried keto almost every week for a couple of months, but I ended up binging more when I failed. I couldn’t do it any longer. I gained back 20 pounds since summer 2017 and it made me feel so worthless and bad about myself and my body.
I figured I have to start with getting a normal relationship with food, so for a while I’m gonna try to have no binges, eat as much natural food (no added sugar, not made in a factory etc (i have no idea how to call this in English)) and keep it healthy. Almost no tracking (habits are hard to break.. and letting go of control even harder lol) and just nourishing my mind and body. I need this for a while. What I ate today kinda shows what I have been eating the whole week nog Breakfast: overnight oats with almondmilk and peanutbutter, honey and blueberries Lunch: my homemade delicious pumpkinsoup with 2 slices of speltbread, butter, cheese and cress <3 Snack: kaki Diner: pak choi with beef rendang and brown rice, also homemade so I know exactly what’s in it; no added sugar, no additives, no nothing (see the image and how BEAUTIFUL IT IS this makes me so so happy) Snack: 2 squares of dark 72% chocolate 
I am not saying I will never return to keto. I will definitely return to keto, but first I gotta make this work. I Have To Recover. I hope you guys understand. (Thanks @zerocarb for motivating me to make a post because now I am so motivated and zen with myself :)))))

Looking at my chart of almost daily weigh-ins I’m not upset about my weight staying the same since I’ve seen some positive downward movement this week.  
The other night I was craving pizza so I made this pseudo pizza out of low carb tortillas, Rao’s marinara, salami and melted garlic cheese curds.  It was SO GOOD.  Posting this here so I can remember to make it again.  The garlic cheese curds are what made it.  I highly recommend getting some in your life.  
Yesterday we had erp’s 4 month pediatrician appointment so I actually had to leave the house and in real clothes no less!  I tried on some jeans and while they fit (sadly they were not ridiculously loose like I hoped they’d be after a month of dedicated effort) they just didn’t look right.  I called to mind @hello-manna‘s comment about how weird it is to see me in jeans and I think that’s what it is.  I like myself in black pants better so even though I was crazy overdressed for the pediatrician I liked how I looked so that’s all that matters.  
Even though it was threatening storms yesterday after work I had the urge to go for a walk so I went with it.  And boy am I glad I did!  Check out that rainbow!!!  I noticed it after I walked the length of the bridge then turned around to head back and stopped in my tracks I was so overwhelmed by its magical glory.  I started freaking out taking all the photos, trying to back up to capture the entire arch but not being able to, sure that all the cars passing by thought I was crazy but I paid no mind because rainbow!  THEN I noticed that it was a DOUBLE RAINBOW.  You can’t really see it in this pic but man was I floored.  Made me feel like a youtube dude freaking out about it.    
Today’s accessory was erp wearing, this time - for the first time - from the front!  It was only a mild success as she was quite fussy and this didn’t seem to help but at least I was able to fill out a few lines of a spreadsheet while I had use of both hands for a hot minute.  
Since my friendbor is now too pregnant to join me out on walks we’re about to have a social distance backyard hangout where she’s in her yard and I’m in mine talking across the fence.  We’ll see how this goes!

Sunday Keto Meal Prep!
I did a thing! Keto Meal Prep for my work lunch. In addition to this, I also had a Roast Pork Loin in the crock pot for a couple of dinners. In my new lunch containers I have…
Two have sausage, string beans and cauliriced mushroom risotto. The other three have fresh mozzarella, olives, grape tomatoes and low carb tortilla mushroom and pepperoni pizza. The tortillas are only 4g Net Carbs! .

Anyone else just want to find like, the perfect balance of foods to eat in a day and only ever eat that? Like, what is the perfect combination of fruits, veggies, nuts, proteins, and grains that fufills all my vitamin needs but is still under 800kcal? So I can stop worrying about vitamin deficiency?? And still lose weight?? And still stay in ketosis??? I wanna know

I think I said “shut the f*ck up” to myself at least 16 times while eating this. I’m not sure what made it so marvelous, but this breakfast so super yummy. Egg in spaghetti squash nest. I fried up the squash with butter so the bottom got a little crispy and I sprinkled some grated Parmesan over it.
It was just THAT good. I’m not a super savory breakfast person, but I would repeat, absolutely.

My favorite way to jazz up cauli rice: add pimento cheese (that palmetto cheese with ALL the flavor!). 💯
I used Green Giant riced cauliflower medley and added 1 tbsp of butter, 🧂 and 4 tbsp of the pimento cheese.
It adds a nice flavor kick and gives it a creamy cheesy texture. 🧀
Great base for pretty much any low carb meal, or an easy keto side dish. I love simple! 😘

Delicious scramble of dirty eggs❣
30 grams of diced onion over medium heat in a full tbsp of butter 🧈 2 slices of crumbled cooked bacon tossed in 🥓 then 4 eggs cracked into the skillet 🥚 and 2 tbsp of pimento cheese melted in while scrambling... topped with 2 tbsp of daisy brand sour cream. 😍

Symptomer etter tre dager
Dette er tredje dagen min med LCHF, og det er kanskje litt tidlig å si noe om symptomer, men jeg kan nevne noen ting jeg opplever.
Fruen sier det lukter litt av ånden min, og basert på hva det lukter og hvilken mat jeg spiser tyder det på at jeg er i ketose.
God metthetsfølelse
Litt uvant å spise såpass feitt mat, men med variasjon tror jeg dette kan gå.
Har vert litt seigere enn vanlig på de to treningsturene jeg har hatt. Må avvente litt å se om det er ferieturen med lite trening som er grunnen, eller om det er overgangen til nytt kosthold som preger meg.
Magen virker noe mer balansert, men på det området trenger jeg litt mer tid for å konkludere.

Well, it’s never taken anyone longer in the history of mankind, but I finally made it to the promised land, friends. And here’s an embarrassing photo collage and my little progress story to prove it.
On the left is a photo from a trip to Puerto Rico, where I weighed 265 pounds. I had lost weight low-carbing before but gained it all back in the way only a New Yorker can, with 15-course tasting menus every weekend and dinner delivery every weeknight. 
So I went back to low-carbing and got down to 225, which is what I weighed in the middle picture, my passport photo (hence the weird smile).  
I continued generally low-carbing through 2016 but never lost any more weight. I wasn’t logging any of my meals, I would cheat as often as I wanted to, which was usually a couple of nights a week, and I rarely even weighed myself.
But in 2016, I got tired of trying and not seeing any results. I was depriving myself of a lot of the food I wanted, thinking about wanting to be thinner all of the time, and still being just as fat. So I joined Tumblr.
And spent another year not losing any weight! Hahahaha, literally the worst dieter ever. My problem was that I had never tracked anything, because the myth of keto/LCHF is that you don’t have to count calories. And maybe you don’t when you’re younger or if you don’t have a messed up view of what a portion size is. But as someone who grew up thinking it was totally normal to have three slices of pizza for lunch, a chicken parm sandwich and fries for dinner, and half a pint of Ben & Jerry’s for dessert on any old day of the week, I needed to watch myself.
I also desperately needed the friends I eventually made on Tumblr! I spent my first nine months here trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. You can see from my MyFitnessPal weight graph that I was still bouncing up and down well into 2017:

But then, when you all taught me to track everything I ate, to calculate my maintenance calories and decide what deficit I should eat at, my graph suddenly got a nice downward trend (with a few minor interruptions for vacations):

I still have a long way to go to hit my initial goal of 160 pounds, and I’ll probably make more mistakes along the way. But to feel like I have a handle on what works for me and to have a plan for going forward is AMAZING!
And I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all of you for motivating me! Legitimately, I would still be floundering at 225 pounds without you. I seriously think about wanting to make you all proud, and it affects what I put in my mouth! Knowing that you’re going to check in on me and having one of you even write a post about waiting for me to hit 199 was so incredibly helpful.
So here we go! 65 pounds down so far!

I got really scared a few days ago. I began to feel like I was losing control and it brought me back to how I used to feel. When I let my cravings control me. This tied to the small weight gain made me panic and think I was slipping into my old routine of giving up and gaining all the weight back. This is a fear I think about a lot because it has always ended up this way. My previous diets and weightloss journeys always ended in me giving up. 
But I talked to my boyfriend about it and we managed to stir some motivation in each other. By the next day, I felt like I was in control again and back on track with my weight loss. It took barely 24 hours for me to regain my mindset and turn my focus on my goals. I have also dropped back down to 89.8kg which shows me that the weight gain was not real weight. This has all shown me how quick you can turn things around for yourself.
