The butch lesbian/trans man "funky printed button down" stereotype is true but you must understand that the men's section of so many clothing stores is a bleak and miserable place. Clothing manufacturers are simply convinced that no one who wears men's clothes wants anything besides the most boring outfits possible. Often stripes are the most exciting it gets. If you want to wear clothing designed for men but happen to like "color" and "joy" in your life then often the funky printed button down or the hawaiian shirt are simply your only options, especially off the clearance rack.

hey guys so apparently this is a thing a lot of people don't realise but like. if you have had writer's block/ art block for like. six months. a year. two years. that's maybe not a block. that's maybe depression. and you should maybe look into treating the source of the problem instead of just beating yourself up for not being able to write/draw. be kind to yourself and know that your struggle to create isn't based in laziness or a lack of skill or talent.

When you learned of the god of war, you thought he’d be tall and muscular and angry. When you were about to meet him, you braced yourself for the worst.
You weren’t quite expecting the short, scrawny, shy kid you ended up getting instead.

Before Pride Month really hits, here's a quick reminder that it's completely normal to pick up or shed different labels over the years. You learn new things about yourself and the queer community, you're probably not the same person you were when you started your queer journey. Maybe you cut your hair or got that tattoo you always wanted or listen to other music. A lot might've changed, so why should labels be exempt from that?
Or maybe you're not yet sure which label fits you - the same way you haven't made up your mind which clothing style you like best. Maybe you're hoarding a whole bunch of labels or maybe you don't care much about labels at all and are just vibing. Either way, I hope you all enjoy the pride festivities whichever way you prefer.
Sincerely, your friendly neighbourhood queer (who used to identify as straight, then pan, now bi and as of now is still questioning my position on the ace spectrum and has given up on labeling their gender).

Love how tumblr has its own folk stories. Yeah the God of Arepo we’ve all heard the story and we all still cry about it. Yeah that one about the woman locked up for centuries finally getting free. That one about the witch who would marry anyone who could get her house key from her cat and it’s revealed she IS the cat after the narrator befriends the cat.
