It’s so fascinating to me how much softer Kevin is when it comes to Jean like we really don’t know much about whatever their relationship is, and the glimpses we have is truly some of the most devastating stuff I’ve ever experienced. Kevin just seems so different interacting with Jean than he does with the foxes, especially when he’s alone with Jean, just the two of them

And it’s not a softness that usually accompanies the term it’s something different and uniquely theirs it makes me crazy

I know the floozies and coach Rhemann with Adi and other Trojans and maybe the Foxes too will be rooting for jerejean. They are going to be supportive, a little teasing but mostly sweet.

But there’s a cruel cruel world we live in. For some people out there Jean and Jeremy are two ‘whores’ who got together over being whores probably?? And being gay ofc.

Let’s be real most people are very much unkind. Especially towards gays. Especially back then. They assume two men who seem to be queer will definitely sleep with each other. Which is.. well, the most common part of homophobic behavior. There will be dirty rumors, rude comments behind their backs and hateful remarks thrown in their faces. I really doubt that Exy world is going to be kind to them. Most of their opponents will try to ruin them, because this is the only way to end them. Jeremy and Jean are talented, almost invincible. The crowd cheers for Trojans captain, but the whispers will always follow him. Fans are losing their minds over tall gifted backliner, but the articles will always supply the rudest comments. I bet people will even give jerejean some rude nickname. Smth slut related and so offensive it actually hurts.

And yes there’s a reason why coach Rhemann and Adi are keeping it low. Maybe Jean and Jeremy could do that too, and there wouldn’t be anything wrong with it! But they have a reputation. They simply stand next to each other and people assume they’re fucking.

What I’m saying is there will be another tough challenge for jerejean. But they’re going to overcome it together. And things are getting better soon for them and for every queer athlete out there.

Jean was 18, and I don’t agree with your tags at all. Jean is clearly still in love with Kevin and has more understanding of Kevin leaving than most other characters. He is angry over Kevin ‘forcing’ him to live because it’s easier than being angry at the people who put him in that situation.

Kevin did the most selfless thing he could do by leaving Jean behind, and Jean knows this. His ‘anger’ is when he says he wish Kevin would have stayed so Kevin would die, so Jean could finally kill himself. That is not a feeling like Kevin betrayed him.

He is angry at his parents for selling him to the Moriyamas and for Tetsuji for letting Riko do anything he wanted and Riko for torturing him and having him assaulted. He knows none of this is Kevin’s fault, but it’s easier to be angry at Kevin than any of those persons, and a lot easier than being angry at himself for not killing himself. So he can blame Kevin for leaving the ravens and he can blame Kevin for letting their French slip and he can blame Kevin for holding him to the promise of living. Everyone else was angry at Kevin. Kevin leaving Jean behind was the only way Jean would live, and that is the only reason Jean was as angry as he was.

It’s not Kevin’s fault he was assaulted and tortured, but again it’s easier to blame Kevin for ‘forcing’ him to live.

Kevin is the reason Jean is alive.

thinking about 17 year old jean just after kevin left. thinking about how jean’s crush would’ve turned to hatred for every minute he was tortured in that crush’s bed. thinking about jean voluntarily being tortured so kevin could ‘mourn his losses’ even though he knew it would end in kevin’s suicide. thinking about jean begging that he didn’t know kevin was going to try to leave and not being believed.

Which would be laughable—if it weren’t starting to ruin literally everything.
