Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPbookworm

Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes and hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a post every week announcing the latest project.

We know. We can’t believe it’s back-to-school season either. Before students in many parts of the world hit the books, the goal this weekend is to make photos and videos celebrating bound books. Here’s how to get started:

Show us your favorite spots to read, like your favorite chair in a local library, the place where your book club meets or the one tree you love opening a new book underneath.

Look for readers in the wild — whether on the subway, in a park or anywhere else people dive into their books.

Let your favorite books take on a life of their own as the players in an Instagram story. Be sure to share directly to your feed to add a more personal touch to your submission.

PROJECT RULES: Please add the #WHPbookworm hashtag only to photos and videos taken over this weekend and only submit your own visuals to the project. If you include music in your video submissions, please only use music to which you own the rights. Any tagged photo or video taken over the weekend is eligible to be featured next week.
