Having a parent with a drinking problem that is in complete denial never goes away. I'm 22 years old and I have grown accustomed to the routine of her drinking and becoming problematic. I asked not be touched and explained that as a human I get to say who touches me. Some people don't like to be touched and she kept doing it and said I was the problem and I was being rude. This is the routine, she gets drunk, does or says something and blames me and makes me the bad guy. Or she comes back to me crying with a guilt trip till I believe I need to apologize to her. Well tonight I felt scared and I told someone while it was happening. For protection and proof. I have 14 days living with this and I will never tolerate it again. I was in denail. This has been my problem since I was in middle school, having a drunk mom go into my bed and keep me up on school nights. When I would ask her to leave she wouldn't and would get mad. This is no longer my burden but it is still for so many people.

So I was looking at this booklet/CD set thing an old band director gave me. It’s a “history of music” type thing. For the most part, it’s pretty good information and would be a nice introductory material for a music appreciation course or something.
