If anyone is in Melbourne, you should come past St Heliers Street Gallery at The Abbotsford Convent and check out Beautiful Soup, an exhibition of prints by 56 artists (including myself), curated by Rona Green. Get your loved ones a print for christmas and have a nice stroll around the convent. runs 10/10-4/11.

Really nice job. I wish I could know the techniques you use!
Thankyou! Amazing blog. Do you get to do printmaking at your school? Im happy to discuss anything! With etchings, i usually use a soft ground because it picks up dust, breaks down and is just really sensitive to touch. i hand draw the bits of hair/matter with a fine etching tool into the ground and after the plate is printed i usually play with transparent relief inks to encase the marks and shift the colour slightly. also, there's just alot of experimenting with wax, latex, thinner papers and layering.

hey! great stuff you've got here :) what's your favorite printmaking medium to work with?
hi! thankyou, too kind! you have a beautiful collection of images on your blog also. answering your Q, i would definitely say etching. it allows me to create the subtle marks i am looking to achieve and i would say its also about the contact you have with the copper plate throughout the whole process until the end.
