i really love the fact that in the lilget moments nugget is never exactly treated like a burden to lily and we're never supposed to feel bad for her because she "has to deal with him" or anything. i know nugget is probably just supposed to be an insane silly kid but he still works as disability rep and i appreciate that they saw that and made it so that lily actually genuinely cares about him and isnt just doing it for some other reason or to get something out of him or because hes useful. it makes me happy because i saw that there was gonna be a lilget mission and i was saying to myself "please dont write nugget out to be a problem or a burden to her, please dont make it that she feels forced to be with him because hes disabled or something" and then they didnt and then i was so happy.

that mission was great. i am joyful.

Ok, I don’t know why, but there’s this scene between Cindy, Carla and Emmy during the Gator Aid mission and it’s funny to me. Not to mention.. weirdly kinda nice? If you talk to them at recess during the mission, you overhear Carla telling Cindy to leave Emmy’s flowers alone (cause normally Cindy’s trying to take the blue flowers), literally threatening to beat her up if she doesn’t.

Just to throw out some lines from said scene:

Cindy: “Butt out, you pompous weasel! This is between me and Weedy Wendy!”

Emmy: “My name is Em-“

Carla: “She said you can have the red flowers, and then you were a jerk. So now you get nothing. Deal with it.”

When you talk to them a second time:

Carla: “You can have these flowers-“

Emmy: “She really can have them. I don’t mind. Just the red ones though-“

Carla: “OVER MY DEAD BODY!!”

Cindy: “That can be arranged!”

Am I hyperfixating on this small scene? Yes. Yes I am.

Like she’s so pissed about it! And Emmy’s just on the side like “really, I don’t mind!” but Carla’s like, “screw that! she’s getting nada or I’m throwing hands!” Sure, Carla’s probably doing this for her own agenda, but damn the girl was willing to beat the shit out of Cindy for this girl’s flowers! This is probably the nicest she’s ever been to someone (that wasn’t the player) and this was the same girl who literally STOLE the crutch of a severely injured Stevie less than twenty minutes before!

anyway, I love Emmy, and Carla’s been one of my favourites since kg2

I think the only thing I disliked about the game was the whole Linda transportation thing like i KNOW that there are many illogical things in the kindergarten series but like COME ON 😭

In the final mission I just imagined the kids and animals compressed together like cavedivers lmao

I find the differing relationships the principals in each game have to their kids so interesting

in kg1, jerome and his dad have a …surprisingly good relationship? yeah it’s DEFINITELY not perfect (ex: the principal calling jerome a disappointment) but at the very least he doesn’t turn his son into an experiment. the kg1 principal is an okay-ish parent but a BAD person

in kg2, the way penny is treated by her mom is just downright abuse, no other way to say it. she literally TURNED HER DAUGHTER INTO A CYBORG TO CAPTURE CHILDREN. the kg2 principal is a horrible person AND parent

in kg3, davey and his dad’s relationship is very interesting to me. davey at first straight up doesn’t seem to care that his dad is missing (and I’m pretty sure says that his dad was a jerk anyway? but I don’t entirely remember so take this w/ a grain of salt). and the way davey’s dad calls his son weird and says he loves alice more than his own son REALLY rubbed me the wrong way. the kg3 (former) principal is a good person but not a very good parent

I think in general I feel like Kindergarten 3's not really...as good as Kindergarten 2, if that makes sense? Not to say the game is bad, cause I love a LOT of things in K3, but I really do miss a lot of the smaller things K2 introduced, like costumes, playable monstermon, etc. I DO like the monstermon plushies though, they're so cute <3

I feel like Kindergarten 3 is kinda like Chapter 3 of Deltarune in terms of the Fandom's reaction, given that both fandoms agree that the third game/chapter is either weaker than the first two, or gets outshined by the fourth.

And given K3's cliffhanger, I feel like the game WILL get outshined by K4, since there's a good chance that K4's not gonna be in a school (And I hope it doesn't take place in a school tbh, it'll definetly be more unqiue if it doesn't).

(And, uh, last thing since I couldn't put this anywhere else lol but I think it's interesting that, in the credits, everyone BUT Lily and Carla are shown falling. And I've rewatched the credits three times now, those two are just NOT there, and ever since I noticed that I've just been wondering what that means!!)

All in all, I'm SOOOOO excited for K4!!!

(Also sorry if this confession is kinda a hodgepodge of a lot of things this is the first time I've written one)

I think we could’ve had more genuine interactions with Carla than just doing the whole task vent thingie

She was super cool and savvy in the 2nd but now she been reduced down a lot to just “open this vent thanks”

She could’ve spoken more Spanish or anything, and to see her possibly confirmed not to appear in Kindergarten 4 breaks my heart

I miss the kg2 characters :(

I really wish this game had Madison and Ron in it, cuz they're nothing burgers of characters in the first game(Madison being Ozzy's girlfriend and Ron being his best friend) but the thoughts of them is interesting. Especially learning about the goo gene thing, this could have been so much more regarding these two. Cuz that means that Ozzy was friends with three people with goo genes(also what happened to friend number 3?)

Also is it just me, or do the games have a lot of girl hate? Like none of the girls ever like each other. I mean Emmy tries to be nice to Cindy at one point but her mission has her kill Cindy. (Not to say the boys are better, but they seem to at least have nice interactions at some points. It seems like the girls never get that with each other, which sucks cuz there is only 7 of them(6 excluding Penny and her current status.)

I actually LIKED that Regis didn’t have as much of a menacing presence as the other principals. Because he technically isn’t! He’s a janitor, he usurped the real principal. It sort of felt like he was scrambling around the school trying to get his plans in motion, like he was floundering in the best way possible. It genuinely felt interesting how… disjointed the schools operations felt! Especially at the point in the story we’re in where we’re sorta breaking down the elementary school operations one by one

We weren’t MEANT to be getting all these kids shuffled around and lab’s destroyed. It’s only been 2 days of the week, and we’re working so very fast. Regis was just one of the people trying to pick up the pieces, especially with all the mentions of losing his job. This is his job he’s just some kind of lackey who wants to feel big

My personal opinion is that both kg1 and kg2 were high quality games, but kg3 feels more… mid high to me

Like its GOOD but not in the same way that the first two were

also i miss ted, i love ghe fact that he tricked his dad and the repeated felix getting tossed out of the car bit is uh. concerning but funny but i want ted content. WHY did he switch him and felix’s clothes?

plus. lily was missing half the game. why. set my girl free.

positive things!! i really enjoy the kg3 characters. theyre actually much more fleshed out than OZZY (which i’m still pissed about.) like we have a mission for emmy and davey!! they got their share of screen time and it played really well. emmy was awesome, davey was badass and ppl say austin was the weakest but i actually really like him and feel he was still given a pretty big role, being a great supporting character in a ton of missions despite not having one himself and still given a chance to shine unlike SOMEONE (ozzy) like austin fans still get their food unlike OZZY FANS. WHERE THEIR FAV CHARACTER’S ONLY PURPOSE IS TO DIE anyways it’s kind of cool to have a character thats actually genuinely sweet yknow? cause most kids don’t gaf and i love them but like it’s refreshing to have a really sweet boy who’s so chill and cares sm once in a while :D austin’s so cool. and god emmy having a secret badass dark side? FUCKING AWESOME. it’s so cool seeing the nice characters snap cause it has more of a badass impact. shes genuinely so sweet too!! and davey being the saviour and helping out in the last mission is kind of a cool way for the principal’s kid to play a role cause jerome didnt even do shit in the first game (no offense ily baby) and penny died (no offense ily baby) so davey jumping in and helping (ily baby) is so fucking cool. and him carrying the axe is so great man god i didn’t expect to love him this much. everyone’s so great and funny and i love them. and i adore the abundance of new animations and facial expressions here, it’s such a nice surprise and really cool to see. all in all i enjoy the new fleshed out characters and the new animations. connor was right when he said kg3 has the best parts of kg1 and kg2 imo cause i feel the puzzle aspect was the best part in kg1, kg2 the best in lore and characters, both combining to have kg3 to have great puzzles and cool characters (if you ignore the plot holes..) can’t wait to see kg4!!

The new kids are pretty great!

I really love Emmy's mission and her character! She's one of the only kids that doesn't resort to violence first, we spend the whole time helping cheer her up until the end and I think that's nice. Even as she kills Cindy in the end, the progression felt quite natural -- very well built!

Austin is fun since he's not too complex. He's simple and straightforward, his motivations are clear and sorted out. It's nice to have a character that is exactly what he says to be!

And Davey is so funny -- I wish his anger issues were more utilized but seeing him defend Linda at the end of every day added a lot of character! He's also one of the only kids we see playing.. like, the others are standing around for the most part but he's playing king at recess, he's so sweet

Okay as an actual confession now, I kinda wish Regis didn’t turn out evil 😔 like we had two evil principals already and idk I was hoping there would be more to Regis but now he’s kind of just the weakest of the three. The ending battle, though super epic because Linda and Davey are epic af, idk just felt a bit too much like the one in Kg2? He’s still cool tho I supposeee, and the overall game was awesome, I just wish like a lot of others here that there was more of a threat to be had and an evil principal feels a bit overdone in this series 💔

On the bright side though Kevin exists, and Kevin makes up for all of KG 3s faults and I will stand by that til the end of time 🥰🥰🥰 /silly

Not really a confession ngl but I find it interesting that the kids casted in the Wizard of Oz play Miss Lovelett put on kind of correspond with the kids themselves, like:

Felix as the tinman because he’s “heartless”

Nugget as scarecrow because he “doesn’t have a brain”

Kidd as Lion because Kidd needs courage to do the things he does to meet the other kids’ and teachers’ demands and also to save the school 

And Cindy as Dorothy while they don’t match up very well personality wise is funny to me bc. They both have dogs :D (Well, one of them *used* to but anyways) 

Most likely not intentional at all and has no bearing on the plot or anything and is kinda a stretch lol but I just think it’s a funny concept
