was talking to my gf about my fear of dying young for being trans and my mom putting my deadname on my gravestone, and she said "i hope that never happens, but if it does, i will carve your name into your grave myself if i have to." and i think theres something extremely raw about that sentiment and trans community in general. you can kill only our bodies, but you cant kill transsexuality

This is the only post I’ll make about Taylor swift and I’ll leave it be but my problem isn’t even with her, it’s with the people that listen to her. There are so many of them and they are perfectly fine with her writing music with the sophistication of a teenager. They grow older in age but continue to accept her juvenile output year after year after year. What is going on? I don’t think there is a musician that ever had people this obsessed and yet it’s the lowest quality of writing and sonic fidelity of anyone with a comparable fan base. It’s just indicative of our decline as a human race. I’m worried sick.. The things that have been done to these peoples minds for them to accept this… I’ve been witnessing it we have been under psychic attack for generations and it has lead to this. I am now living in a world with people who have no control over their own minds anymore. It’s over… it’s really over

Homeless LGBT Couple needs support!

Hey everyone.

My partner and I are still homeless and we've been struggling for some time to meet our basic needs. We've been going hungry much more often and we keep losing shelter when we need it most. It's been raining a lot lately and my bronchitis has progressed to pneumonia with no sign of recovery yet so having a place to rest is super important right now. Any help we can get covering food, supplies, bills, and shelter in a motel room is greatly appreciated.

On a brighter note, our 20th anniversary is this month and, on April 12th, we will be getting married. It's a simple courthouse marriage for now, but that doesn't make it any less special to us. Please join us in hoping for the best going forward!

psychiatrists do not provide access to medications. they selectively restrict access to medications. regardless of your personal relationship with your individual psychiatrist, the broader power structures in place are that psychiatrists are a barrier you must cross (again + again + again) to receive psychiatric medications. some people are shoved across this barrier against their will; some people are forbidden to ever cross it. but if you begin to understand this as a system of restricting access rather than providing access, you will understand that abolishing psychiatry would not destroy your access to medication, but instead make it easier.

before accusing me of trying to "take away your access to meds" through my activism or opinions, ask yourself this: who in your life, right now, has the power to restrict your access to psychiatric medication? why? what expectations do you have to meet in order to continue to access these medications? who enforces them? can you think of anything you might do or say that would cause you to lose access to these medications? have you ever had to pretend to be feeling or doing something differently in order to retain access to medications? have you ever had your medications arbitrarily changed against your will due to insurance, financial, or behavioral issues? have you ever had to 'prove' yourself in order to obtain specific medications (perhaps stimulants or opioids?)? has a provider ever threatened to take away your prescriptions in response to something you said or did? have you been told or do you believe that you need your access restricted because you "can't be trusted" or "lack insight"?

if want to find the people trying to limit your access to medication, i suggest starting with the provider name on your pill bottles.
