Every Currently Kingdom Hearts Game Summarized with no Context

KH1: Final Fantasy, according to Disney.

KH COM: The only RPG where the hero starts the game with all his memories and ends with amnesia. Also your rival gets a redemption arc.

KH2: POWER RANGERS NEW POWERS! THEY HAVE POWERS THAT ARE NEW!

KH Days: Nomura read too many bad fanfics about Organization OC’s and decided to show us how to do it right. We proceed to learn nothing and continue to make bad Organization OC’s.

KH BBS: Most of the Lore was established or fleshed out in this game. Keyblade Wielders are basically Jedi assassins.

KH coded: A Mobile Game that wasn’t originally meant to have any plot significance but received a bonus level after BBS was released that tied it into the overarching plot. As a result, not a lot of effort was put into the story until the very end. Every time it’s rereleased it gets more plot relevance. Except for the last time because their literally wasn’t any room left to squeeze in more exposition, even after all the gameplay was removed.

KH DDD: Overhated, the time travel isn’t that hard to understand, they fixed the party AI, and only the villains are genocidal maniacs.

KHX: Children slaughter each other, but it’s okay because the artstyle is cute. Also your OC is canon.

KHUX: Your OC is the root of all evil.

Back Cover: A one-eyed sociopath starts a cult and turns its members against eachother to start a war.

KH 0.2: A commentary on suicidal depression as our protagonist ventures deeper and deeper into the pits of hell, her sanity slowly slipping away with every passing second until she finally loses the will to live. At which point Mickey Mouse saves her life and gives her the encouragement she needs to live on.

A few observations on the new trailer

We got a third Drive Form named Second Form confirmed and it’s based on KH2 Sora’s outfit. Guessing this is similar to KH2′s Limit Form.

The Black Box from Back Cover is key to the plot of the third game. (see what I did there?)

Sora’s darkness is still a major plot point and I FUCKING CALLED IT.

So you are deffo a Dandelion in Union. This game is off the rails.

Wait. Did the Union X trailer just tell us the story difference between Unchained and [chi]?

If Union X is based on the premise of Ava choosing 5 *dandelions* to become the leaders of new unions, then that right there is the split from the [chi] browser game. In [chi], you never join the dandelions, you stay behind and fights in the War. So you being a union leader and part of the dandelions is a big change from the previous story.

They were two games all along.

Union Cross (JPUX)

Highlights of what to expect in NAUX due to JPUX. A few things are important to know for the next two weeks until Cross Union comes out for NAUX. If you want to stay mostly spoiler free, the main take away from this is: Don’t fuse/throw away your extra medal copies. (Whether or not you fuse this week b/c it’s guilt+ or wait for the new pseudo-skills is up to you.)

Changes

Only slightly bigger than before (JPUX went from 1.83 GB to 1.84 GB)

Guilt symbol now fades between Symbol and Tier #

Datamining has found Tier 6, Tier 7, and Tier 8 guilt symbols

+/-3 Boost cap raised to +/-7 Boost cap

Cost reduction cap (-10) lowered to -20.

Guilt available at quest 34 instead of 350

Medal draw rates are now displayed in the news

Multiplayer

Multiplayer is an “event” in which you earn Cross Coins that you can spend on boards (currently 4 boards and 1 week long in JP)

6 Players total and required: can pair up with entirely your party, entirely random people, or a mix.

Length is about twice a normal quest

Extra Pseudo-Skills to Medals (“Awakening Ability”, aka Traits)

By fusing in two of the same medal (such as to get a dot), you also get an “Awakening Ability” (no idea what these will be called in NAUX) (probably called Traits in NAUX)

These include things such as double attack (weaker the second time), status effect resistances, increased Str/Def, more SP, more HP, and all sorts of crazy game-breaking things. This psuedo-skill ALWAYS activates

Best to fuse medals in one at a time from now on; the trait you get is random, and you can choose whether or not to replace one you currently have

The old eyes and skin remain the same, so you won’t be losing anything. Only additions!

WHERE IS SKULD

So I just watched the KHX Back Cover movie and I am FLABBERGASTED.

Everyone following the KHX/uX stories already know the great disappointment of Nomura taking the (a) out of Ephemera’s name for STUPID REASONS. But NO, he didn’t stop there. I’m pretty sure we all thought Ira’s name was going to be pronounced [i-ruh] and Ava’s name like [ay-vuh], but NOOOO??!! Ira’s pronounced [eeruh], like IRRATATING. And Ava’s pronounced [ahvuh], like GUAVA… 

I’m disappointed enough that Skuld wasn’t even in the freakin movie, but what’s fucking next?!  Are we gonna have to say her name like freakin Marsha Brady? “Skewld”. I don’t think so, Square.

JP 5 Million DL campaign

The irony is that they only celebrate in Japan when it's 5 Million downloads worldwide.

Complete gacha (コンプリートガチャ?), also shortened as Kompu gacha or Compu gacha (コンプガチャ?), is a monetization model for video games. In the model, the game displays multiple items for players to randomly draw for a price similar to the Gashapon (or "gacha"), and a player who has obtained all of a designated set of items (or "completed" the set) can combine them to form a rarer item. The model is mostly popular with free-to-play social games on smartphone platforms in Japan.

The model was officially declared illegal by Japan's Consumer Affairs Agency in May 2012, citing the Law for Preventing Unjustifiable Extras or Unexpected Benefit and Misleading Representation (不当景品類及び不当表示防止法?), after alleged investigation on the model's proposed resemblance to gambling.

Good thing they aren’t letting that stop KHUX worldwide, huh? :(

I did a cosplay test / closet cosplay of Skuld from KHUX! It will be my last cosplay of the year considering that i cant afford more cosplay. lol! Gonna make this one count!
