' ah-- '
she shuffles a bit awkwardly,
tail brushing up a small cloud
of dust.
' the correct term for it is khajiit--
but yes. i do know i'm a cat. '
”me? i’m fine. you——”
he’s at a loss for words, really. there’s no telling
what kind of magic this is, and quite frankly, the
former warden isn’t too sure he wants to know.
”…you know you’re a cat, right?”

the reaction sends her back a foot
or two, a slightly confused sound
being made.
her expression right now is
basically priceless, and she
turns as if seeing if there's
anything behind her.
' what? are you okay? '
the mage turns fast on his heel and
he’s not sure how he ought to react.
”maker have mercy…”

velun? val royeaux?
all places not yet known,
and of course, she's out
of luck if she plans on
navigating around more.
a low noise, much like a growl, bubbles from
her chest cavity and slips past fangs that poke
from her mouth and over her bottom jaw. clear
that she isn't too happy.
' no offense, but i have no idea what you're talking about.
i'm not really from around these parts, friend, and it would
be a blessing from the gods if you could give me a tour. '
An errant wind grabs at scarlet tresses,
pulls at them and sweeps away his quiet
hum of a reply.
This area is unfamiliar to him as well;
never having been surfaced here, he’s
only ever flown over the area.
Wei knows which way the capitol lies,
and that is ultimately what helps him
navigate now.
He feels terribly ill-at-ease without
his wings—longs for his home on
a cold Ferelden peak. Wei rubs idly
at his nose while studying the land
around them, the walled city in the
distance looking a safe bulwark.
❝My best guess is Velun, if Val Royeux is north-east.❞
A slim finger is extended toward
the town. A few mill about the entrance,
but beyond that it is eerily quiet.

admittedly, it's a bit unsettling, the
way he turns towards her. compared
to many, this khajiit is small, but to
others -- such as this stranger --
she seems to be only two feet tall.
tail swishes along the earth behind her,
bringing a cloud of dust rising into the
air.
not her fault, though if she could keep still, that wouldn't happen.
words are caught within her throat,
somewhat of a fear arising and causing
stomach to churn with uncertainty.
something isn't quite right about this man.
she gives an additional flick of the ears.
' i apologize, but i seem to be lost.
could you perhaps tell me where i am? '
The unmistakable smell of feline is invasive to his nose,
sudden and repulsive enough that it gives Wei’s lip a visible
curl to it. Complaining will get him nowhere, he knows that,
and at least it isn’t dog.
Eugh.
His inner turmoil and ruin is nearly enough
that he misses the signal meant for him. Luckily,
his golden eyes miss little, and he stops his own
steady pace to stare—-
Wei is almost a little dumbfounded.
If the stranger is human, she’s surely an o d d b a l l.
But no, she’s something else. Something—
Wei’s face scrunches up to epic proportions as he sneezes,
gargantuan effort rocking his shoulders. He blinks a few
times and wipes his nose with a kerchief procured from his pocket.
Cats.
Before he can cease, he opens his mouth.
❝—You’re excused, calti.❞

lost. always lost.
after stumbling along that riverside for as long as she did,
skye isn't sure which way was north and which way is south.
the first thing she knows to do is approach the
nearest person she can find along the path,
and though she can see the walls of a city
ahead of her, the khajiit stops before she can
reach it, and raises a finger in question to
catch the attention of a strange redheaded
man.
' excuse me-- '

a pause, right ear flicking in distraction
to a nearby bird song.
pretty, but that's
not important.
