PLIANT LIKE A BAMBOO

This is all about the story of a bamboo tree and a mango tree. this story entitled “ Pliant like a Bamboo” by Ismael Mallari

Pliant like a bamboo is a Philippine folklore about a mango tree and a bamboo tree. Not being able to agree as to which was the stronger of the two, they called the wind to make the decision. The wind blew its hardest. The mango tree stood fast. It would not yield. It knew it was strong and sturdy. It would not sway.It was too proud. It was too sure of itself. But finally, its roots gave way, and it stumbled down. The bamboo tree was wiser. It knew it was not as robust as the mango tree. And so every time the wind blew, it bent its head gracefully. When the wind got tired of blowing, the bamboo tree still in all its beauty and grace. 

LESSON

If you want something work hard for it like what the Filipinos did for their freedom. The FIlipino is like a bamboo tree, in its ability to adjust itself. And don’t be boastful because you don’t know what will happen in the end.

DEAD STAR

This Blog is all about the story of a man who cheat while his wedding is near. This story entitled “ The Dead Star” by Paz Marquez Benitez

Dead star is a love story about a man named Alfredo Salazar,who has his fiance in the person of Esperanza and they have been engaged. Their wedding is about to take place in the near future. However, he sees another girl named julia, when he goes with his father to a judge’s house. He became a little confused in his upcoming wedding. In the story, dead stars symbolizes a dream that is nonexistent and the love that fades. Alfredo loved julia. She was his dream, his star. He thought there was love there. But like a dead star which is so far away.

LESSON

We must be consistent in love. We should know how to handle it smoothly. Because when you love, nothing is sure. Loving one person can make you feel all kinds of emotions. When loving, you must be ready to feel an immeasurable pain that might break you into pieces but will make you stronger and wiser. Love is never easy but can make you happy.
