This is really relevant to a revelation I had recently at my wife's throat Dr appt... It's not the esophagus which is "open" by default, it's the trachea! The epiglottis stays *down* until you swallow & it pops up momentarily! I'd always seen that anatomical diagrams & thought it was the other way around.
the one anatomy fact my brain refuses to accept for some reason is that the esophagus is posterior to the trachea. for some reason. this is not a bit I actually constantly forget that the esophagus is posterior to the trachea I am always picturing the esophagus ANTERIOR to the trachea even tho I know damn well the esophagus is posterior to the trachea. swallowing would be easier if it was anterior to the trachea I think

What's a difference between historians people who just like to study history?
idk maybe the fulltime yearslong professional training by other professionals and constant peer review aka quality control? what's the difference between a five star chef and someone who makes homemade meals every day.

Sometimes your muscles just want to be held 👉👈
Here are two common ways to train isometrics:
Yielding Isometrics: Choosing to hold a position for time
Overcoming Isometrics: Trying to move against something that won't move.
Both of these can be done with either weights or bodyweight.
Have a great day!
