“i am a monument to all your sins” is such a fucking raw line for a villain it’s amazing that it came from halo, a modernish video game, and not some classical text or mythos

A cry for help from Gaza❤️‍🩹
Tumblr media
I am Ahed Al-Anqar. I am 33 years old. I am married to Maysoon Al-Anqar. We have three children: Fatima (9 years old), Iman (6 years old), and Nour (1 year old). We faced all the challenges imposed by the war regime in Gaza, but now we need your help to escape from... This tragedy🥹
Fatima Iman and Nour are the pulse of my heart and the light of my life.
Tumblr media
The horrific story of the recent war in Gaza
Since the beginning of the last war in Gaza, my home has been partially destroyed, forcing us to move. We had to move more than ten times to find safety. During this harrowing journey, we faced extreme hunger and malnutrition that almost claimed the lives of me and my children. In addition, we have been exposed to many serious infectious diseases and epidemics.
Tumblr media
Unbearable hardships
I have to travel long distances just to get water, and stand in line for hours to get food. My mental health and the health of my children deteriorated due to the war. My children’s education was interrupted and they suffered from catastrophic hunger that almost claimed their lives.
After: This is our house, built with our sweat and effort, and it was partially destroyed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The right to a peaceful life
My children deserve to live a peaceful life free of fear and anxiety.
My dream is for your help to support my family and escape this genocide. Your help means the world to me and my children.

Tumblr media
The cost of arranging travel for an adult outside Gaza currently ranges between $5,000 and $7,000, and $2,500 per child.
How can you help
Your donations can be a beacon of hope for us. Every dollar can help save my children's lives and give them a chance to live in peace. Your prayers for us to overcome this ordeal and lift the siege are greatly needed
Fatima: the closest to my heart, and my little one.
Tumblr media
Iman: The friendly, kind, and loving child who is loved by everyone
Nour: Who did not live her life like other children, as she was born two months before the war

Donate now and help us get to safety
May God reward you greatly for your generosity.
Background on the Gaza war
The war in Gaza has left hundreds of thousands of victims, destroyed infrastructure, and left many homeless 💔. The humanitarian situation in the region has reached critical levels, with severe shortages of basic necessities such as food, water and health care. Children are the most affected, as they have lost their sense of security, education and normal life.
Your support is our hope
Your donation is the light that can guide us towards a better future. Don't miss the chance to be part of a story that saves a family suffering from unimaginable hardships.
Donate now and make hope possible
Thank you for your support and kindness.
My gratitude
Ahed and family

The discourse on terrorism is generally devoid of historical perspectives (‘terrorists are pure evil’ is one popular trope) and lacks any positionality because, it is assumed, terrorists simply live outside of morality and social norms. But such ahistorical and essentialist attitudes came to haunt this discourse when a former terrorist, Nelson Mandela, became a Nobel Peace Prize winner, or, more recently, when Osama bin Laden, a former American ally, ‘turned’ terrorist. The discourse on terrorism also does not account for state terrorism, whereby state institutions such as the army or police inflict violence on civilian populations, as was the case in Nicaragua and Chechnya (and by the US via the Contras). This last point is particularly missing from the discourse on the Palestinian–Israeli conflict. All attacks on Israelis, whether inside the 1967 border or outside, whether targeting soldiers or civilians, are dubbed terrorist attacks. But dropping a one-ton bomb from an Israeli airplane on a five-story Palestinian house, in which a militant may be present, knowing full well that dozens of civilians will be killed, is hardly ever described in Western media as terrorism.

Israel’s military dropped 75,000 tonnes of explosives by April 2024. Since the invasion of Rafah in May, Palestinians have said the bombings have gotten considerably worse, most recently the strike against Al Tabin school where over 100 were killed during morning prayers

Israel’s flagbearer at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Peter Paltchik, was found to have signed bombs targeting civilians in Gaza.
Referring to the Israeli bombs that have targeted Gaza since October last year, the 32-year-old judoka said in a social media post, “From me to you with pleasure.”
Paltchik also disrupted a pro-Palestinian protest in Japan and harassed protesters while wearing an Olympic uniform. Paltchik, alongside Andi Murez, are the contingent flag bearers for Israel at Paris 2024.
