Finally got around to read something again, more precisely @theinfamousdoctorf's Eclipse Meets His Match on AO3 and made it through chapter 22 so far.

So I had the urge to try and draw Eclipse getting a much needed hug from Sun. Not easy drawing two hugging animatronics, I tell ya, especially DCA models, but I think I managed to somewhat pull it off.

A content creator I really liked blocked me after I tried to educate her on the AI Art controversy.

So here’s a friendly reminder.

Boycotting AI means not using unethical machines or softwares. It becomes unethical once the machine trains with art that they never got the permission to use.

That includes:

1. character chat bots that steal from fanfics/books and more

2. voice generators that use VAs voices and those of other celebrities or even regular humans beings (side eyes TikTok)

3. Anime filters, Disney filters and everything else that turns you into an artwork (side eyes TikTok again)

And so much more.

Im so tired of people saying they are against AI and then consume content in which someone’s voice is used without their permission just because it’s entertaining.

You can’t pick and choose on this.

Okay but what is ethical AI?

Something like vocaloid for example. In which the the people behind the voices got paid and consented to this. Even some tools that we use in art softwares can fall unter the term.

Also don’t forget how dangerous AI can get if we keep normalizing the usage of it. Take deepfakes. I’m genuinely tired of people not understanding how big this issue is.
