It’s probably one of the nicest things anyone’s done for me in a while.

Pinkamena hardly minded having her friends help in the bakery, the kitchen was made to be used by more than one pony at a time, after all. Thankfully, a lot of the material for how to do things was really quite easy to understand, mainly because those were things written by the Cakes for new employee’s. Pinkie had just put on another couple of batches of cupcakes and set the timer when Fluttershy asked.

She set the timer down on the counter next to the ovens before walking over to see her work. They looked okay, she thought, although some bits of ‘em were burnt. Not too badly, but it was noticeable. “Yeah, they look fine, some of ‘em look a bit burnt, though.” She shrugs. “I don’t think anyone would immediately mind it, though.”

Her ears went back at that, a hoof rubbing at her leg shyly as she frowned. “Oh dear..I didn’t mean for them to burn. I can redo them--if you want.” Her voice got softer with her apology, even seeming to stoop down further in posture. What possibly could she have done wrong? was the timer set incorrectly? Did the oven get too hot?

Though, now that she gave them another look, a couple didn’t turn out that great. “Would they be able to taste the burnt part of the cupcake? I mean..it’s pretty obvious NOW that I’m even looking at them. I can’t imagine it would be scrumptious.”

It may not have been the best idea, sneaking onto Fluttershy’s property to try and help a sick bear. But that was exactly what Scootaloo did, bringing along a whole bunch of veterinarian equipment. She could totally do this! They might’ve failed as doctors, but maybe she’d get a vet cutie mark!

Unfortunately for Scootaloo, once she got to work, she made a broad number of mistakes, and made the bear just a liiiittle bit furious. The pegasus filly sprinted straight into the cottage and hid under a table, shaking like a leaf. This had not been her best plan of action, that was for sure.

“Angel darling, you have to eat something.” The adult pegasus frowned to her pet, a hoof lightly coming to pet him. Why wasn’t he eating? Was it the heat? Or did he just want something else rather than what he normally wanted for lunch? Maybe she should go check on that poor, sick bear.

That’s when she saw Scootaloo rushing inside the cottage, a worried expression on Flutter’s face. Wings flapped softly as she flew to the table, kneeling down with a frown. “Oh, Scootaloo. I didn’t know you were here. Are you okay?” And less importantly, what was with her doctor’s equipment?

The pegasus couldn’t lie if she was asked about her shock. The fact that Trixie accepted ANYTHING from HER of all people alone was enough to bring joy to the mare’s heart. Her wings ruffled slightly as Fluttershy gave a smile, rubbing her hooves together a bit.

“You’re very welcome. I mean..I did have some help from Pinkie Pie on the actual cupcakes. But..I did a lot of it, myself.”  What came next was the real surprise.

“--You want to share? With me?” Her ear twitched slightly, before nodding with a wider smile. They rarely did interact 1x1, so there was a new experience in its own. “I shall accept the invitation.”
